Chapter 20 Run with Full Speed!
Lemuel didn't expect to see that when he hurried to come over.
Not until then did he realize that what he wanted to do was simply a joke.
He stood beside the swimming pool with warm light shedding on him. However, it actually made him look horribly cold.
He used to deem that Verena might be a bit different from other women. However, now she turned out to be so humble and abject.
Since that was what she wanted, he decided to leave to let what she wanted come true.
His cold gaze fixed on where both of them disappeared. A freezing cold aura was emitting from him as if it were about to freeze everything around.
Lemuel turned around and headed to another direction. But he felt more and more annoyed for no reason.
As he just entered the hall, an usher hurried to bow to him, "Mr. Lemuel, welcome back."
However, he was still burning with annoyance without even looking at him. He got so mad that he looked like an irritated lion. He just simply roared, "Get out of my way!"
The usher couldn't help shivering when hearing that. He just stood still, looking panic. He still had no idea if he had offended this gentleman.
Suddenly, his phone rang. Lemuel picked it up and answered impatiently, "What's the matter?"
"Let's go to drink, shall we?" Owen's idle voice sounded.
Lemuel huffed and then hung up the phone. He needed something to vent his burning annoyance.
He suddenly thumped the gate hard. Then he strode out of the hotel with a livid face.
However, he seemed to be more annoyed and agitated when getting out of the hotel.
Meanwhile, Louis was hugging Verena while walking to the presidential suite through the corridor. Of course, his hands still kept pawing her.
Verena bit her lip and looked around. She had to admit that Louis was quite tricky.
He even chose to pass through the corridor where there was barely anyone passing by. The corridor was still empty all the way through. Even if she shouted, no one could turn to help her.
Agitation and panic surged up in her mind. Suddenly, she happened to notice an elevator beside. Then she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Louis was still fondling her body lustfully. Verena bit her lips and then pretended to be coquettish, "Your hands are so busy, huh?"
"I will be busier when we get in bed!"
Verena smiled and then put her hand on his head. She deliberately got his face close to her neck, which really turned him on.
Ignoring him, Verena still fixed her eyes on the elevator.
When she noticed that the elevator was about to reach, she gritted her teeth and suddenly kicked his crotch hard with her knee. Louis then screamed out of pain instantly.
She hurried to push him away and rushed over to press the button. She was getting more and more flustered while waiting.
The sharp pain almost knocked him down on the ground. As he collected himself, he glared at her as if he were about to tear her into pieces, "How dare you did that to me? You want to be smashed now, huh?" He approached her step by step while putting up with the great pain. His smile turned to be evil and violent.
But the door of the elevator still remained closed. However, it only took him four steps to reach her.
Her face turned pale and she couldn't help shivering all over. She didn't want to be raped! No!
As Louis was getting closer and closer, suddenly, a ring sounded and then the door was opened.
Verena hurried to step into the elevator to close the door. Meanwhile, Louis happened to reach in front of the elevator.
He almost got into it as long as he took one more step forward.
Seeing that Louis, who looked outrageous, was blocked outside the elevator, Verena finally breathed a sigh of relief. Her legs were feeble and then she fell onto the ground while gasping for air. Her hairs around her forehead were wet all over because of sweat.
Luckily, she bailed herself out.
She held her own trembling hands and then managed to support herself up, feeling weak still. She leaned against the door and took a deep breath for a few times. She didn't walk out of the elevator until she calmed herself down.
She didn't go back to the banquet venue. Instead, she walked through the hall to leave the hotel.
She didn't want anything but leaving at this moment. She just wanted to get out of this horrible place.
It was about midnight. The wind felt freezing cold. She could feel her own face getting chilly.
Verena hugged herself tight with both arms and exhaled. She didn't bring her wallet. So she could take neither a bus nor a taxi.
What should she do now?
While lost in thought, she suddenly heard footsteps sounding from behind. She turned around in surprise and saw that a group of man in black were chasing after her, while the one in the front shouted when seeing her, "It's her! Go to get her! Hurry!"
It must be Louis who sent his men to catch her. She knew how mad he was at this moment.
Verena was so frightened and hurried to run forward.
Her high heels dropped off her feet while she was running. Though her ankle was sprained, she still kept running while enduring the great pain. She didn't even have time to breath. Those passers-by all dodged when seeing her being chased after by a group of men, looking afraid. None of them intended to help her. Verena was so anxious and powerless.
At this moment, she happened to notice that there was a black car with its door opened. She had no choice but to hop in and lied, "Police! I need your car now!"
While speaking, she didn't take a look at the man sitting on the driver's seat. She then pushed him off the seat to make him sit on the back. Then she stepped on the gas and the car soon galloped forward. Verena didn't dare to look back all the way through. She totally focused on the road and stepped on the gas hard to get across the traffic stream.
Her face got pale and her hands kept trembling while holding the steering wheel. Her feet ached so much that she couldn't even step on the gas any longer. But she still gritted, 'I can't stop! No! I will get caught if I stop!'
Gradually, the car was getting further and further. After a while, she reached the suburban area. The trees beside the road were swaying under the cold wind. While the surface of a lake beside looked glimmering under the moonlight, the ripple on which slowly faded away.
The man who sat on the back seat finally said, "You have lost them."
His voice sounded warm and attractive.
When hearing that, Verena finally felt relieved. But then she paused and noticed that the car owner was still sitting in the rear.
Her face turned blushed and stopped the car, looking guilty. Then she lowered her head to apologize, "Sorry. I am really sorry! That was an emergency! Please forgive me!"---------------
