Chapter CHAPTER 7
When Blair returned to the office, she wasn't surprised to see Jenny. She expected her visit but what caught her attention was the box of chicken she's holding in her hand.
"I heard you love chicken,” Jenny said.
"I love chicken and beer," she stated.
"Shall we get some beers for lunch?" Jenny asked.
"It's not allowed to drink during office hours, Miss Gordon." She reminded Jenny that the office wasn't a place for drinking beers. "But we can just have it later," she added when Jenny frowned. "I love it!" Jenny exclaimed, and then she ordered Jacob to get ready for lunch.
The head office of Wolf Bank has a cafeteria on the ground floor and it was exclusive for the staff. "Just bring it to the cafeteria, Jen." He ordered.
"A cafeteria?" Jenny asked. Although she's accustomed to ordinary food at home because of her granny, she's not comfortable to eat with everyone.
"Yes, and all employees eat their lunch at the cafeteria." Jacob grinned when Jenny hesitated to go to the cafeteria. "It's a rule with no exemption around here. I'm also bound to that rule," he clarified.
Jenny narrowed her smoky eyes at Jacob because she understood every word that came out of his mouth. He was telling her that if she couldn't eat in the cafeteria, then she shouldn't work at the Wolf Bank. "So, what are we waiting for? Let's
go to the cafeteria!" She announced and without any warning, she grabbed Blair's hand and strode towards the door. Then she stopped, and Jacob lifted the corner of his brow. "Don't forget the fried chicken," she reminded him. Jacob was dumbstruck at Jenny's action. How could she grab him just like that? He scowled while following them and he was extremely mad at Blair for allowing Jenny to drag him around! Aside from that, she made him carry the box of fried chicken she got from Mcdo.
When the trio arrived at the cafeteria, everyone's attention was focused on Jenny Gordon. Jacob couldn't blame the men who allowed themselves to look like an idiot when their mouth gaped open at Jenny's entrance.
Jenny smiled and ordered to go on eating. She acted like a person of authority as she waved her finger around the cafeteria.
In his observation, Jenny looked ridiculous in her purple dress and a fancy hat on her hair. He liked Jenny, and he adored her, but there were times when her sassiness would get the better of him!
At the counter, he witnessed how Jenny transformed from a brat into a submissive one. She assisted Blair in choosing what food to have for lunch that's perfect to match with the fried chicken.
Jacob wasn't able to eat properly because of Jenny and Blair. If only Blair was true to his words that he wasn't interested in Jenny, then maybe the woman would stop flirting with him. Instead, he didn't say a thing and his silence encouraged Jenny even more.
However, if Jacob was pissed during lunch, he became furious at the meeting. The HR Manager mentioned that his grandmother called to assign Jenny under him and she would work as an OJT.
"How about managing the branch in SM?" He offered because he wasn't sure if he could work with Jenny in the office.
"I don't think it's a good idea, Jacob. I mean, I'm not yet equipped to manage a branch." Jenny declined the offer to manage a branch.

"Experience is the best teacher, Jen." Jacob reasoned out.
"I know, but I don't want to disappoint Granny." She replied but her eyes were on Blair.
Jacob expressed a deep sigh of frustration when Jenny declined the offer to manage the branch in SM. "I understand," Jacob said. "However, if you trained under me, I want you to be excellent at your job when the time comes. Do you know what's challenging in our business? It's to secure clients to bank with us," he said.
She squinted her eyes towards her cousin because it appeared that Jacob didn't want her in the office. "Can I take Blair to come with me tomorrow?"
Jacob frowned at Jenny for suggesting such a thing. "Why?"
"I need a driver if I'm going to meet our future clients," she answered. Although marketing wasn't her major during college, she had been a model for several years, and models served to market a product.
"You know how to drive, Jen." He said, and she pouted her lips.
"Can I just ask him instead?" She suggested.
"He works for me, and I said no." Jacob stood his ground and didn't agree with Jenny's demand.

"I know you cared for me Jacob, but I will appreciate it if you'll let me handle my love affair." Jenny made herself clear that she didn't want him to interfere with her love life. She's old enough to handle it, and even their grandmother expressed her trust when she explained herself last night.
Jacob was stunned when Jenny suddenly became serious and he didn't like what he saw in his cousin's eyes. "I don't want you to get hurt," he said. While it was true that he only wanted to protect her from getting heartbroken, he would be grateful if she would leave Blair alone.
"I can handle my heart better than you and you know that," Jenny expressed her opinion and she didn't give a damn if Jacob disapproved it. "I think we should hire some women into the company," she suggested.
"Don't even think about it!" Jacob warned Jenny not to question his authority at the Wolf Bank.
When she agreed to pose for a selfie with his employees, they acted like it was the most rewarding motivation to work harder! Those men were bored, and Jacob failed to see the unbalance in the working environment. "Have you seen the look of your staff earlier? They needed to see a woman at least once in a while because it will inspire them!"
"What I saw was different. They're lusting over you! Enough of this discussion Jenny, and since you're done for today, just go home and prepare to work from eight to five tomorrow." Jacob scolded the woman for being nosy about his staff. "If I can convince at least five VIP's to bank with us, give me a reward." She dared him.
The VIP's in Wolf Bank was not only billionaires but multi-billionaires! Jacob grunted when Jenny considered getting a VIP as a game. However, he couldn't pass a golden opportunity for the benefit of the company. "Five? No, make it ten," he challenged her. "Deal," Jenny agreed.
All of sudden, Jacob wanted to back out. Jenny's confidence scared the shit out of him and he worried that she might be able to do it. "Three months," he stated the deadline.
Three months? Would she be able to do it within three months? As she calculated how many days she has to accomplish the mission, her eyes searched for Blair and when he smiled at her, she felt confident. "Three months," she approved.
