Chapter 4
Mickey noticed Giselle’s marriage certificate and blurted out, “No way! It has only been a few days! How could anyone be willing to marry you?”
Jenny also didn’t believe that Giselle was married to someone else after breaking up with Mickey. She leaned against Mickey’s shoulder and sobbed. “Giselle, why are you lying? Maybe you should visit a therapist.”
Giselle rolled her eyes. “You need a therapist more than I do. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be stupid enough to fall in love with Mickey”
“Giselle! Stop lying! How could anyone marry a bumpkin like you?”
Although it was indeed difficult for Giselle to get a foothold in Reywing, Mickey’s words were too harsh.
His rude and hypocritical look disgusted Giselle even more.
Giselle’s smile became wider. “I’m not lying.
“I met a man who was willing to marry me. He cares more about me than my background.”
Giselle didn’t want to hold back her grievances and let them all out. “I know you will never be a man like this. Mickey, you’re just a selfish, scheming snob.
“You’re the king of bragging and flaunting. Oh, right, there’s one more thing you’re good at.”
Mickey’s eyes became gloomier, Giselle added calmly, “You’re also good at making a living by clinging to wealthy women.”
Giselle’s words were incisive, and she was sure she had hit Mickey’s sore spot.
When Giselle was dating Mickey, she always knew how ambitious he was.
Even though Mickey was local, his family wasn’t wealthy. When they were together, Mickey often mentioned that they could have lived a better life if Giselle’s family were richer.
By then, Giselle thought they could work harder together to live the better life they expected. But now, she realized something else.
Except for not being as adorable and coquettish as Jenny, Giselle believed that Mickey had dumped her for another important reason: Jenny’s family was wealthier than hers.
On Jenny’s first day of work, she came to the company with a handbag that was more expensive than an ordinary car. It was said that she only came to
work for fun.
Since Jenny didn’t have much work to do, she got plenty of time to flirt with Mickey.
“Bullshit!” Mickey barked, blushing in anger, “You’re slandering me! I chose to be with Jenny because I like her! What nonsense…”

Several employees situng beside her turned to look at that photo and Giselle’s marriage certificate curiously.

All of them looked at Mickey with bizarre expressions.
Mickey’s mouth twitched, and he asked, “Why are you looking at me like this?”
“Uh… Mr. Blake, you may want to take a look at Giselle’s husband.”
The employees didn’t dare to comment, so they could only let Mickey check that photo himself.
Mickey hugged Jenny’s waist and walked up to Giselle disdainfully to look at that photo.
He said scornfully, “What kind of rubbish would marry someone like you…”

The rest of his words were stuck by his astonishment.
Jenny also glanced at the photo curiously, and her expression immediately became ugly.
Mickey’s eyes widened as if he could poke two holes in the photo with his gaze. “No… How could this be?”
It was a photo of Giselle and Hymes, Giselle took this photo before she parted with him. She seemed very delicate, and Hymes seemed manly and
handsome.
He had a sculptural face, and his eyes were like beasts, dangerous yet attractive.
Mickey’s face stiffened, and he hissed, “Where did you get this man?”
Jenny fell silent for a long time. She looked at Mickey, then at the man in the photo, and instantly realized that Giselle’s new husband was much more handsome than Mickey.

After finishing her matters, Giselle got off work and immediately went to the restaurant she had appointed with Hymes.

order?”
Giselle randomly picked a menu. Hymes also chose one and followed the serving order to select what he liked.
Giselle smiled and asked, “You seem to know the serving order quite well. Do you often accompany your clients to dine at a restaurant?”
Hymes said, “Yeah. Sort of.”
Giselle continued to ask, “So I guess your job is quite tough, isn’t it?”
Hymes didn’t seem interested in talking about his job. He replied, “It’s fine.”
Giselle didn’t ask anymore, thinking that Hymes probably didn’t want to talk about how swamped he was after getting off work.
“Hymes, we can talk about…”
“Giselle, what a coincidence! Is this your new husband?”
Giselle suddenly heard a sneer and looked over coldly. Then, Mickey and Jenny came into her sight.
Giselle seriously doubted that they had followed her all the way to this restaurant on purpose.
