Chapter 31
Chapter 31
“What?”
Tyler set down the coffee he was making and walked over to Giselle, carefully examining the silver lunchbox’s exterior. At first glance, there seemed to be no discernible differences.
However, Tyler was somewhat surprised and said, “This lunchbox is from the same brand as the one I use. I’ve been trying to buy this for a long time, but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Where did you get it?”
After seeing Tyler’s astonished expression, Giselle was taken aback and replied, “I don’t know. I didn’t buy this lunchbox.”
She didn’t remember or know anything about the brand.
Giselle just remembered that the lunchbox was used for the two deliveries of meals from Leo.
Before she could recover from the shock, a colleague asked, “I remember you bought that lunchbox overseas, Mr. Baker? It seems that it’s only available as an import, and there’s no product sold in our country, right?”
“Oh, that’s the one you mentioned. It costs more than 700 bucks, and the insulation effect is excellent.”
“Apparently, it can keep food fresher for a longer time.”
Tyler replied seriously, “Yeah, I had to ask a friend to purchase it from abroad.”
The brand they were discussing was a brand exclusive to the European royal family, and it was rarely sold to the public, with a high price tag.
“Are you saying that the lunchbox Giselle is using is the same brand as yours, Mr. Baker?” a colleague inquired..
“Definitely the same one!” Tyler carefully examined the logo on the lid of the lunchbox and added, “Yes, I’m one hundred. percent sure!”
“How did you get this model, Giselle?” Tyler asked.
Giselle asked with curiosity. “Is there anything wrong with this model?”
Tyler sighed and said, “This one is even bigger than mine, can hold more items, and is distributed more reasonably. I wanted to ask my friend to buy another one for me, but it’s basically impossible.”
Giselle couldn’t help but ask, “Is it necessary to be so exaggerated about a lunchbox?”
Jenny contemptuously replied, “You really have no taste. You don’t even know this brand!”
“Just like what Mr. Baker said, it’s nearly impossible to obtain this brand’s lunchbox. It’s always been a brand that the royal family is fond of Jenny added.
Giselle replied, “Oh…”
She wasn’t a member of the royal family, so it didn’t matter whether or not she used that brand of the lunchbox.
But Tyler mentioned that her lunchbox was also an exclusive product for the royal family, which surprised her. Giselle found it surreal.
Jenny sarcastically said. “Mr. Baker, it must be a mistake. How is it possible that Giselle can afford a luxury lunchbox.”
Jenny only said so because she couldn’t afford it herself.
As Tyler had mentioned, the brand had a very low production volume. Sometimes money couldn’t buy anything, and the lunchbox was one of the things.
Chapter 31
The items used by wealthy individuals were beyond the imagination of ordinary people. Even a spoon could be sold at an exorbitant price. Therefore, it was normal for a lunchbox as expensive as that to exist.
Since ordinary people had no use for it, naturally, they would not be aware of its price and value.
Jenny simply could not believe that Giselle could afford such an expensive lunchbox. Thus, Jenny subconsciously assumed it was fake. “Well, her husband has bought fake goods before. Perhaps, he deliberately bought a counterfeit item to show off!
As Tyler inspected the lunchbox further, he shook his head and said, “It doesn’t seem fake… The sensation and appearance are almost identical to mine, even better than mine.”
“How is that possible?” Jenny looked at Tyler, skeptical. “You must have made a mistake,” she added.
“Why would someone counterfeit something like this? Its sales volume is low and few people know about it… How much money can one make by counterfeiting it?” Tyler obviously did not believe that it was a counterfeit product.
He cagerly asked Giselle, “Could you please tell me where you got it from? Can you buy me one?”
Giselle truthfully replied, “I don’t know. It belongs to my husband, and I am not entirely sure.”
“Could you call your husband for me and see if he can buy one for me?” Tyler asked.
“Giselle’s husband sells insurance. Perhaps a friend of his gave it to him. It might not be counterfeit,” a colleague speculated.
Jenny’s face turned green. Regardless of how Giselle obtained the lunchbox, her previous sarcastic remarks seemed somewhat ridiculous if it was not fake.
Jenny remained silent and could only listen as Giselle promised Tyler. “OK. I’ll ask him.”
Giselle quickly phoned Hymes to inquire, “Where did you get the lunchbox we’re using?”
“What?” Hymes sounded puzzled.
“My boss asked if there is a way to buy this lunchbox. He wants one. He heard it’s a brand used by some royal family, and it’s very expensive.”
“I see,” Hymes calmly replied, “I don’t know. It was a prize from the company’s annual party.”
“Oh, thank you.” Giselle hung up the phone and explained to Tyler.
“Well, it looks like I’m not meant to have it.” Tyler sighed.
Jenny breathed a sigh of relief. As long as it wasn’t purchased by Giselle’s husband, she was fine.
However, other colleagues surrounded the lunchbox, “Giselle, which insurance company does your husband work for? I like their annual party and the prizes!”
“Insurance companies now give out such expensive gifts? Impressive!”
“I’ve never seen such an expensive lunchbox before!”
Most people wouldn’t care about the brand of the lunchbox, but Tyler was a foodie. He was very picky about food–related products.
Even his lunchbox had to be the best.
Luckily, he had a relatively generous salary. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to afford such expenses.
Just now, he had been completely focused on observing the lunchbox. After the conversation, he smelled the fragrance emanating from the box.
Chapter 31
He touched his round belly and asked Giselle, “Can I try a little of the food your husband made?”
Everyone joked, “Mr. Baker, a little? Didn’t you say you were going to lose weight?”
“That’s right! If you keep eating, you’ll be over two hundred pounds again!”
Although Tyler was tall, he was chubby. He had been announcing to lose weight earlier, but losing weight was truly a torment for a foodie.
Tyler directly refuted, “How can I have the strength to lose weight without being full?”
Giselle couldn’t hold back her laughter and said with a smile, “If that’s the case, I’ll share with you. My husband makes me so much food every day that I can’t finish it.”
She thought the food was too much last time, and today the lunchbox was filled up again.
Giselle wasn’t as hungry that day, so it was impossible for her to finish it all.
Thus, she generously shared her food with Tyler, who immediately took out his own lunchbox and forks, happily indulging in the food.
While Tyler was tasting the food. Jenny was making rude remarks, “Her husband’s cooking might not necessarily be delicious. It might just look good. Be careful. You may get diarrhea after eating it…”
“Oh, my! This is so delicious!”
Tyler didn’t even pay attention to Jenny’s remarks, fully focused on the delicious food.
