Chapter 667

Cynthia did not expose Joshua’s act. Considering his current personality, there were only two possible outcomes if she did.
Either he would play the victim, shedding tears and acting all pitiful, or his character would become extreme, doing things she
might not even anticipate.
Until Sean returned, she had to keep him stable.
The following day, Cynthia had someone come to clean up the room. By late morning, she had ordered a meal for Joshua and
left the house.
In the morning. Shirley messaged her, urgently asking her to come over as Jonathan insisted on meeting Zachary. Shirley initially
hesitated and declined, believing Zachary deserved some preparation time.
However, Jonathan was cunning! He took advantage of the moment when Shirley was on the phone with Zachary and asked her
to put the call on speakerphone.
It left Shirley with no chance to refuse when Jonathan invited Zachary to meet.
While Shirley was chatting with Zachary, Jonathan suddenly called out to her, “Shirley.”
“My dad is calling me. I’ll talk to you later, Shirley said in a very hushed voice.
“You’re on the phone with your boyfriend, right?” Jonathan watered the plants while looking at her. “Hand it over. I want to talk to
him for a bit.”
Shirley hesitated, “What do you want to say to him?”
“Hand it over, and you’ll find out,” Jonathan insisted.
Shirley was on the verge of tears.
Why was Cynthia not here?!

Under Jonathan’s pressure, Shirley reluctantly handed over the phone, giving a subtle signal to Zachary on the other end. After
being forced to put the call on speakerphone, Shirley quickly locked her phone to avoid Jonathan seeing the nickname she had
set for Zachary. If he noticed, he would surely question her about it.
“Zachary, right?” Jonathan greeted.
“Hello, Uncle,” Zachary replied politely.
“Shirley has been talking about you all the time. How about we meet and have a meal today? It’s also an opportunity to discuss
your relationship with Shirley. By the way, are you in Nexuria?” Jonathan did not give him any chance to prepare, going straight
to the point.
“Yes, I am,” Zachary answered.
“Once I confirm the address, I’ll have Shirley send it to you
“Sure, sure,”
Jonathan chatted with him a bit more before promptly making a reservation at a restaurant.
He became anxious at the thought of how Jonathan was his future father–in–law.
Shirley was on the verge of breaking down. After the call with Zachary, she immediately messaged Cynthia for help.
Shirley looked at him unhappily after making all the arrangements. “Dad! How could you do this? Who arranges a meeting
like this all of a sudden!”
“A future son–in–law would meet his future father–in–law sooner or later. What’s the difference between meeting now or later?”
Jonathan said seriously.
“That’s unfair!”

“It’s all the same.”
Shirley was exasperated.

Jonathan did it on purpose, adding, “Don’t tell Cynthia about this. I want to talk to your boyfriend alone.”
“Okay.” Shirley avoided his gaze.
Around half past eleven in the morning. Jonathan, Shirley, and Zachary had all gathered together.
