Chapter 012 Is He Really Better Than Me?
It rained the next day, and the weather was cooler, maybe because of the strong wind last night, Stacey had a cold and a headache.

“He is Pete Bruce, twenty–four years old, the president of the Bruce Group. He is also one of the top figures in NYC, and the most important thing is that he is still single.”

Stacey could tell that Hogan was angry, so she hastily changed the subject, playing dumb.

Hogan leaned down and pulled her up like a chick, his words were gnashing his teeth, and there was a kind of coldness and cruelty in every word.
“I don’t understand what you’re saying.” Stacey avoided his
eyes.
But in her heart, at least, Pete was several times better than him, a man who only threatened her.
“Stacey.”
Her wrist caught by him hurt like it was broken. She didn’t know if she was haunted or what. Since returning to the States, she hadn’t had a good day.
“Believe it or not, I can bring his head to you.”
Hogan stared at her closely, and his eyes were full of murderous intent. He was extremely possessive, so Stacey’s words undoubtedly touched Hogan’s bottom line.

Opposite the president’s office was the room where Hogan usually rested. According to Janet, sometimes he would work overtime until late, and then he stayed in the company.
But Monica said Hogan was often in that room with Kama.
So in Stacey’s view, this room was undoubtedly for Hogan to
vent.
Hogan dragged her into the room and locked the door.
Stacey’s hair was messed up, her sleeves were turned to one side, and she looked like a discarded doll, embarrassed, dull, with no gleam between her eyes, as if her soul had already been separated from her body.
