Chapter 132: Brothers Would Be Nothing

Vincent looked at Emily, his tone was usual. “Not a big deal. Who were you with just now?”

Emily didn’t want him to know about her relationship with Christopher.

“Just some friends, we reserved a private room here.”

Vincent stared at her, “This place is too expensive for friend gatherings.

Emily lowered her head, “I didn’t want to come at all. But they mocked me, saying that I am no longer the young miss of the Hill.”

Tears were streaming down her face.

“They said, after I lost the game, you are all going to value Sandra. I will be sent away soon.”

At this point, she was already sobbing uncontrollably.

After crying for a while and realizing that no one was comforting her, she continued to speak.

“I explained to them that my brothers are nice and won’t abandon me.”

“But they said that only if I come here can I prove that I am still the young miss of the Hill.”

“So I took out my savings.”

She sniffled, “After tonight, I will be poor, but even so, I have no regrets.”

Emily looked up.

Her eyes were watery, looking pitifully at Vincent.

“I came here to defend my family’s reputation.”

“I stole Sandra’s life, so it’s only right that I give it back to her.”

Vincent looked at her for a while.

Unlike before, he didn’t surrender immediately when she cried this time.

“I’m asking you about the phone call you made to me.”

There wasn’t much emotion in his voice.

His anger was gone. But there was no sympathy for her either.

Emily finally realized this.

She had been immersed in the beautiful dream Christopher had woven for her just now.

She didn’t notice Vincent’s disheveled appearance at all.

In his expression, all there was exhaustion and despair!

It seemed like he had suffered a great blow.

Emily’s heart skipped a beat.

She must have ignored that Vincent had been hit hard because of that phone call.

She cried again, “Vincent, I will be honest with you. They just asked me to play Truth or Dare.”

To see if you still cared about me, they asked me to send a room number for an empty room.”

Vincent asked, “Did you call other brothers?

Emily looked even more aggrieved. “Only you came.”

“I know, it’s time for me to leave and give everything back to Sandra.”

It was all my fault. I was selfish and wanted to continue living with my brothers.”

“But I am not a family of the Hill after all.”

Emily burst into tears and couldn’t say anything else.

Vincent didn’t say anything either. He, glanced at the assistant beside him.

The assistant quickly stepped forward and gently patted her shoulder.

“Emily, stop crying. Today, because of your joke, Vincent got into trouble. The more you cry, the more annoyed he gets.”

“I know, but I can’t help it. I don’t want to leave him…”

The assistant rolled his eyes. Don’t drag us into this.

Emily sent a room number randomly, and it happened to be Lisa’s.

She basically ruined Vincent’s career, which was not easy to be forgiven.

“Emily, you should go back and have fun.”

The assistant’s tone wasn’t very good, but Vincent didn’t stop him.

Emily couldn’t help but bite her lip, not daring to say anything else.

After they all left, Christopher came out of the private room.

Seeing her standing in a daze, he frowned, “What’s wrong?”

Emily looked at Christopher affectionately.

In fact, she should have figured it out long ago.

If she found a reliable husband like Wesley, her brothers would be nothing.

She wouldn’t have to strive for their love anymore.

Emily forced a bitter smile and answered, “Actually, someone was talking about the chess tournament. My sister is a star now.”

Christopher sneered, “The more popular she is, the more miserably she will fall.”

Emily seemed even sadder. “I didn’t want it to turn out like this. It’s all my fault.”

Christopher gently embraced her. “It’s not your fault. Don’t cry, how about going to my place?”

Emily was taken aback.

She didn’t want to have sex with him so quickly.

Even if they were going to, at least it should be after the engagement.

But…

Christopher said earnestly, “I was just thinking that if you come home, you won’t be happy anyway.”

“Don’t worry, I respect you. I have an apartment nearby where you can stay on your own.”

Emily smiled.“Thank you, Christopher.”

Christopher gently kissed her forehead.

“Be good and sleep, and all your troubles will be gone.

Emily said, “Luckily I got you.”

Sandra kept drinking, her face showing a hint of fierceness.

Lisa held her glass and smiled, “I thought you weren’t angry.”

“I’m not angry that he came, but our meeting here is quite secretive. Those paparazzi who followed him here will see us. Who leaked the news?”

“Mason?“Lisa asked.

After all, they were competitors. If Mason wanted to trap Vincent, it could be understood.

Sandra sneered, “He has no time, nor the ability.”

Under the supervision of Lawrence, if he could still cause trouble, he wouldn’t need to be a star. Lisa became serious. “Then who else could it be? It can’t possibly be your fake sister.”

A cold light flashed in Sandra’s eyes.

“It could be.”

As she spoke, she picked up her phone and started watching the surveillance.

Lisa leaned over and saw Emily meeting Vincent.

Unable to help herself, Lisa exclaimed, “Holy shit!”
