Chapter 111 Apologize To Emily

Sandra doesn’t know if it’s an illusion.

After she finished speaking, Wesley’s body stiffened slightly.

Then, his ears turned slightly red.

His breathing became a little erratic.

Sandra didn’t pay attention at first, but soon realized something.

“Reach out your hand.”

Wesley frowned.

“Let me take your pulse.”

Wesley didn’t move, “No need.”

Sandra also imitated his frowning expression, appearing quite angry.

“I’m your doctor. You know I hate disobedient patients the most.”

Wesley could only reluctantly reach out his hand.

Sandra placed her hand on his wrist. Her fingers were soft.

Wesley wanted to pull away, but it was like pulling a thread that kept stretching.

He couldn’t get rid of it no matter what.

Sandra frowned.

Wesley’s heartbeat was excessively fast. Could it be that the toxins from before were not eliminated and were attacking his heart again?

No. If that was the case, his heartbeat wouldn’t be so strong.

She became interested and looked at him.

Unexpectedly, Wesley was also looking at her.

Their eyes met.

His gaze was gentle. She felt like she was drowned.

Wesley’s wrist now felt like a hot potato.

She quickly withdrew her hand. For a moment, she felt her mouth drying up.

If she didn’t know the reason for Wesley’s accelerated heartbeat now, she would be a fool! However, this was just a hormonal stimulation.

As expected, when she adjusted her mood and took his pulse again, his pulse had returned to normal.

And she also discovered that there were very few toxins left in Wesley’s body now.

He recovered faster than she had expected.

“I didn’t expect your body to be so good.”

Joey interjected, “Get a room, you two.”

Wesley: “…”

Sandra: “…”

Wesley remained expressionless.

Sandra responded, “Joey, you are not allowed to speak anymore.”

Joey: “…”

Even though Sandra pretended to be calm, he

ears were turning red.

2/3

September 1st.

This was the day of the chess tournament.

The whole day was filled with matches, and in the evening, there would be a commercial banquet where awards would be presented.

Sandra planned to stay for the whole day.

Because of Wesley’s status and Gary’s intention to flatter, Wesley was directly admitted to the finals.

He took Sandra to the VIP lounge with him.

Unexpectedly, they encountered Emily here.

Emily didn’t study chess much, but she managed to make it to the finals.

She had just finished a few matches and came here to rest.

When she passed by, she happened to see Sandra and Wesley.

Emily took a few more glances at Wesley.

Previously, Wesley was lying in bed, looking weak and far from being as handsome as he was now. Since he woke up, the sense of weakness had long disappeared without a trace.

Now, she only felt that he exuded an air of nobility.

When standing there, he seemed unattainable like a god.

Her heart trembled violently a few times.

In the beginning, she wanted to escape from marriage, and her five brothers brought Sandra back. Then, Kyle came up with an idea to force Sandra to marry Wesley instead.

After Wesley’s death, Sandra would be rich and living a worry–free life.

They’re doing her a favor.

However, who could have expected that Wesley would wake up on the night Sandra married him? In just a month, Sandra transformed into the esteemed Mrs. Cooper.

And all of this should have been hers!

“Mr. Cooper.” Emily took a deep breath and suppressed all thoughts in her heart.

Wesley, as if he hadn’t even seen her, walked straight into the lounge.

Emily couldn’t enter his lounge.

She wanted to stop him, but it was too late.

“Sandra, are you laughing at me?”

When Emily saw Sandra’s mocking smile, she felt a murderous intent.

Sandra had only been spectating.

Now, hearing her furious voice, her smile grew even wider.

“Of course, it’s amusing.”

Emily’s face darkened.

But it was only for an instant before she acted pitiful.

“Sandra, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have greeted Mr. Cooper.”

“I thought that since you two were married, Mr. Cooper would be like my brother–in–law.”

“I have no other thoughts. Please don’t be jealous.”

Seeing her like this, Sandra knew someone had arrived behind.

“Explaining is just a cover–up. Do you believe what you’re saying?”

“Sandra, enough!”

The person who walked over was Vincent.

He was the spokesperson of the chess tournament.

Vincent had been practicing his acting skills during this period.

If it weren’t for Gary, he wouldn’t have come over.

But as soon as he arrived, he saw his beloved sister being bullied.

How could he tolerate that?

Emily immediately lowered her head, looking even more pitiful.

In this way, it appeared that Sandra was an extremely despicable sister. “Apologize to Emily immediately. Otherwise, don’t blame me for not being polite!” Sandra retorted, “Do you know the whole story? You are blaming the innocent.” Vincent’s eyes were filled with disgust. “Emily is such a kind girl. It must be your fault!”
