Moonlit Betrayal (Alpha Rick)

Chapter 127

Chapter 127

“Damn, she’s gorgeous. I wonder whose daughter she is?”

With a puzzled look, another receptionist watched Lola walk away. “Weird… I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before. Wasn’t there an article about a hot couple? She was with Scott, right? You know Scott?”

“Yeah, rich artsy guy. Total crush of mine till 1 heard he got marned. I was quite upset about it for a while!”

“That must be her from the article! I’m positive. If they’re married, what’s she doing alone with Mr. Sinclair?”

“What? Married?”

The young woman beside her was shocked, lowering her voice as she cautiously said. “Tiffany, you think…she’s trying to get with our president? He’s a total catch and has always been single

Tiffany frowned slightly. If that’s the case, I can’t just sit back and let our president get played like this. I bet he has no clue she’s already married.”

“What are you gonna do about it?”

Tiffany bit her lip. I’m about to become the president’s secretary. Even though I won’t be working directly in his office, I’ll have plenty of chances to see him.”

“We’re counting on you, Tiffany.”

Meanwhile, Lola was following Dominick into the office, her face expressionless.

“Mr. Sinclair, let’s talk about this contract. If I agree to this collaboration, can you promise to get my company back on its

feet?

Lola was desperate for things to return to normal. If she failed, she’d be letting down both her employees and her parents.

Dominick knew she was desperate. Her decision was exactly what he had anticipated.

“Of course. As long as you cooperate with me, I can guarantee that your company will have no problems at all and everything will get back on track.”

Dominick leaned back in his chair, a faint smile playing on his lips.

“But first, I have a contract for you. Once you agree, I’ll sign it immediately.”

Lola sensed something was off. “What contract!”

Dominick slid a folder across the desk. “Nothing major, just a little something the two of us.”

Lola’s hand paused slightly as she touched the document. ‘A contract between the two of us?‘

An uneasy feeling grew in her heart as she stared at the folder with mixed emotions.

She pressed her lips, took a deep breath, and calmly opened the folder.

Her expression froze, “Mr. Sinclair, what is this supposed to mean?!”

Lola frowned at Dominick, anger simmering in her eyes. At that moment, he had become a complete stranger to her.

Dominick knew she was cornered, and he was clearly taking advantage of it!

Since when did Dominick stoop so low to do something so disgusting?

Dominick seemed to have expected Lola’s reaction. He spoke slowly. “What I mean is, when you’re with me, you follow my lead. You’ll be at my disposal, but don’t worry, I won’t overstep any boundaries.

“And you can’t tell anyone about this meeting. If you have any problems at work, you must tell me, and I’ll take care of it.

Just remember, I would never do anything to hurt you,”

Lola stumbled back, shaking her head in disbelief. “Mr. Sinclair, what are you trying to do?

“What’s your game here? I’m just a rookie in this office. I don’t get what you’re after, so please make it clear!”

Lola was furious.

The last bit of goodwill Lola had for Dominick was shattered.

She always thought of Dominick as a mysterious man who wouldn’t stoop to such low tactics.

“Why does he propose this agreement? Just to see me? Does he really have to go to such lengths?‘

Dominick’s lips curled into a cryptic smile. “There’s no game, Lon. If you agree, I’ll sign the contract immediately, and your company’s back in business.

“Givery your company’s current situation, if you go back tomorrow, things will likely look very different.

Be good and listen to me. I won’t harm you.”

Hearing those words from Dominick filled her with disgust.

“You!” Lola gritted her teeth, unable to utter a single word against Dominick’s blatant threats.

Even though she hated this feeling, she had no choice but to comply with this situation.

She couldn’t keep leaning on Ethan. Even if he helped her out this time, what about the next?

Right now, she was the CEO of the company. It wasn’t fair to keep dumping her problems on him.

After a long silence, Lola finally gave in. “Fine. I agree. You can sign the contract.

Dominick raised a hand, and Ryan, who had been waiting outside, hurried in. “Yes, Mr. Sinclair?”

“Get the pen ready. We’re signing the contract with Ms. Lewis.”

Ryan’s face lit up with a smile. “Ms. Mitchell, you’re agreeing to work with us?”

Lola didn’t understand why this assistant was so happy and didn’t respond. She was feeling down.

Ryan didn’t mind and cheerfully brought the pen over

“Just sign your name here, Lola. Look over the contract one more time, and if everything’s in order, sign it. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions,” Dominick said, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Lola felt frustrated under his gaze. “No need. Ethan already looked it over. And if you’re so sure of yourself, there shouldn’t be anything wrong with it.

“The problem is this one.” Lola picked up the contract that was exclusive to just the two of them.

Dominick’s eyes were deep and unreadable as he remained silent.

Ryan wisely excused himself

Only then did Lola coldly say, “Mr. Sinclair, you’ve gone out of your way to benefit my company, even if it means hurting your own. Your purpose is just to meet me anytime you want, which basically means you want me to be at your beck and

call.”

She

paused slightly, staring coldly at Dominick. I want to know what you mean by this, Mr. Sinclair.

“I can’t imagine what I could offer someone like you. What is your purpose? I’ve already signed the contract and can’t breach it now, so spill it. Tell me the real reason.

“Is it for the Lewis family? Or for the Lewis Group? At this point, a little honesty wouldn’t hurt, right?“
