Chapter Twelve
Judah
Benjamin was able to quickly bring Alpha Wren's wolf to surface, and I watched in awe as it happened. Wren's iris slowly turned into a pale white, and soon after his natural shade of green followed.
After Benjamin was done, I continued to hold Wren down until he was able to take control of his wolf. It did not take very long, honestly I was impressed.
Wren mentioned something about having to shift to make sure he was one-hundred percent before walking out of the room.
The only reason that I am not with Marisol is because Benjamin has decided that he wants to play games. Games that I don't find amusing in the slightest
"Now, how am I sure that you won't break my little Marisol's heart?" He takes his hands and forms a heart before pulling them away while he pouts.
I let out a low growl. "You are well aware that she isn't yours." While I found him mocking me annoying, him continuing to refer to my mate as his was just promising him a funeral.
"Before I say what I'm going to say, remember that my sister would be very upset if you harm me." his smile grew wider. "She isn't yours either." He taunted.
"Enough of these games!" I yell out and he instantly bowed his head to me. In the name of Marisol I wouldn't force him to submit to me but that doesn't mean that I'm not against other tactics to get revenge.
"Alright, my King since you're so against me having fun." He said with a sigh.
"Now take me to her, I need to make her mine." I've spent too much time apart from her anyways. I need with me, by my side at all times from now on. To make sure that she is always safe and protected.
Benjamin made a gagging noise before he walked over to me and place his hand on my shoulder. I am unable to see my surroundings, and it feels like the ground has been swept from under my feet as Benjamin's grip on my shoulder tightens. This process drags on as it feels like my body is slowly being torn in half.
As I feel the ground under my feet once again, I stumble in an attempt to steady myself. Even though I cannot see him, I hear Benjamin's obnoxious laughter, that I am well aware that is aimed at me.
It took a full minute for my vision to return to me. Seeing things slowly turn from blurry figures to the things that they actually are is enough to mess with any man. A minute ago the pack house was just a gigantic brown blur, but now I see it as the building that holds more than fifty percent of this pack's members.
I turn my head sharply in Benjamin's direction as his laughter at my expense got louder.
I know that Marisol would be upset if I hurt him, but it just may be worth it.
Seeing the glare that I had directed at him Benjamin quickly sobered up. "Alright her parents house is straight ahead she should be in there." He directed.
Benjamin started walking before I could reply. I felt my canines sharpen, as my wolf begged me to just end his existence over his lack of respect towards me.
I find the suggesting tempting. Especially since Benjamin informed me that he does not have the capacity to use the abilities that he has. Getting rid of him will cut off her access to escaping me quickly like she did the first time that I saw her.
Nonetheless I followed him anyways. It would be best to discuss with Marisol about how to handle her friend before I make the decision myself.
I followed him to a two story house that is right next to the forest. I would have observed the outside of the house, but all of my attention is on a female wolf that is visible angry and stomping towards us.
"First of all Ben you lied to me! Checking on the Alpha? Marisol is going to flip!" The female wolf yelled as she pushed Benjamin's shoulders.
When she realized that he was not going to respond to her accusation she began to push and hit him on his arm.
He flinched away from her attacks while covering his face. "Izumi, my love. Why don't you introduce yourself to our Alpha King?" He suggested.
She froze as the words left his mouth, her fist hanging in the air from withdrawing the last punch that she gave him. She was so upset with Benjamin that she did not even notice my presence.
Her eyes widened as she turned to me. "My King I am so sorry that you had to see that!" She said before she bowed to me. "My name is Izumi and it is such an hour to meet you."
Ben chuckled before grabbing her hand. "My love where is Marisol?" He asked.
She bit her lip. "Um." She paused in-between her words. "I don't know."
"What do you-"
She cut off Ben and nearly exploded. "I mean I don't know! Her family basically reinforced her insecurities and basically told her no matter what that she was a runt and that her mate wouldn't look past that." Her fists were balled up by the time she was done talking and she looked exactly how I felt.
Ready for a fight.
My wolf demanded to be released immediately, and I know that my eyes were probably changing colors because I could feel my wolf attempting to force a shift.
We both wanted revenge for the words that her so called family spewed at her. I would tear them apart, consequences be damned. She would have to accept that is how I plan on dealing with those who disrespect her. I am sure that her friend Izumi will agree with my methods.
I tried to fight back a growl, but it was impossible. As the sound left my throat Benjamin and Izumi took several steps from me. Smart.
"She said she was going to go for a walk to clear her head, so she probably went to lake that's on this territory!" Izumi said rapidly, pointing in the direction that she thinks my mate went. I can tell that she is attempting to calm my wolf and I down, but is probably aware that it won't work. The only thing that will calm me down right now is Marisol. I want Marisol.
Benjamin placed his hand on my shoulder. "Just go to her, I'll handle her family. This is an overdue conversation with them, the moon goddess and I." His eyes flashed white while he was talking, and the fact that I knew that he was going to give them a verbal beating calmed my wolf.
I will convince Marisol to allow me to give them a physical one.
"I know where the lake is, I have all intentions of taking Marisol back to my pack tonight." There would be no options for her, we are to be together, always.
Izumi and Ben both nodded before they started walking towards the house.
I began to quickly walk towards the lake.
There's no one to stop me from getting to Marisol now.
I soon made it to the lake, but stayed within the edge of the forest to observe Marisol. I wasn't exactly hidden, but her brain won't register that I am here unless she is actively looking for me.
It is concerning for me how she hasn't sensed my presence yet, but that lets me know that her senses are probably weaker than a normal wolves. She would have to be with me or Alexander at all times to make sure she was never in danger.
As much as I wanted her to be in my arms, and on my way to my pack I was also interested in what she was doing right now. I wanted to learn more about her in this moment. Learn what she does when she thinks that no one is around. That is probably the only time that she is her true self.
She sat right in front of the water and was surrounded by birds. One by one she pet them on the head softly and gave them compliments. She spoke kindly about their features, the words that she spoke to one bird were not the same as the next. She spoke softly as she told one that their feathers remind her of snow. While telling the next that she loves to hear it sing. I doubt they could understand her and her sweet words, but I was in awe of her gentle nature.
Now that I think of it, I probably have never seen a bird up close. Seeing her with them makes me think that I might be missing out on something.
I savored her voice, listening to her call the birds beautiful, closing my eyes imagining that it was me that she was saying those words to.
How in the world did she think that she isn't good enough for me? She is perfect. Her gentle nature would mesh with my naturally strict nature and we'll blend to make the perfect couple.
The perfect leaders for all of the packs within the pack lands. Her gentle nature will make us more approachable, while my strict nature will make sure that all of the wolves will still respect us.
The perfect parents to our pups. Our pups will grow up being nurtured by their mother, after a long day of training with their father.
A strong breeze flows through the hair. I watch and am entranced as her beautiful hair is blown into the wind. Soon after that her sweet scent blows by me, warming my entire body.
I quietly take a deep inhale of her scent. As much as I want to continue to sit and observe her in her natural habitat it is time that I claim her for myself.
I slowly step out of the trees, making sure that I don't startle her.
"Marisol."
