Chapter 68
The coldness in Augustine's eyes dissipated. When he turned to look at Vivianna, his eyes lit up with a smile.
Jessamyn watched Augustine's car left.
She gritted her teeth in shock. Did Vivianna really know Augustine Gilstrone? Augustine Giltstone cared about her so much he warned her in order to protect Vivianna? How could it be possible?
If her intuition was right, Augustine was very affectionate to Vivianna. God! Where did Vivianna get such luck to meet Augustine?
Jessamyn sneered. Augustine must not know that she had a son! Vivianna, just wait, you want to hook up with a man like Augustine? You wish.
In the car.
Augustine asked Vivianna, "Who was that woman? Why did you hit her?"
"Xenophilius's wife." Vivianna replied while gnashing her teeth.
Augustine frowned and asked, "Why was she there?" When Vivianna thought of Jessamyn's suspicion, thinking that Vivianna was trying to approach Xenophilius, she felt like gagging. In her life, what she didn' want to see the most was Jessamyn's repulsive face. She responded cooly, "Nothing."
Augustine raised his thick eyebrows and thought. "Was that woman hiding something? Couldn't she trust me?"
"If anyone bullies you in future, you can tell me and I will definitely help you." Augustine said, letting her know that he was willing to turn into her reliant shield.
Vivianna was surprised. Then, she shook her head and replied, "There's no need for that, thank you."
Augustine raised his eyebrows again unhappily, "Vivianna, we're going to live together soon. I don't want us to be so estranged."
He was right. Vivianna thought about it over and over. He was a member of the Giltstone family so she had to be careful. It was better safe than sorry.
"Don't worry, I will get along well with you." Vivianna comforted him.
Augustine was speechless. There seemed to be a kind of thorn on Vivianna's body. As long as he got close to her, her thorns would flare up and guard her against anyone.
When they arrived at the school, luxurious cars could be seen everywhere. Augustine's car had the privilege. He drove into the school all the way to the place where Zeph was waiting. He was playing the slide with a few other children. Noticing his daddy and mommy's arrival, he was proudly showing off. He slid down the slide.
"Zeph, it's time to go home." Vivianna shouted.
"Mommy, can I play another round? Just one round." Zeph refused to leave. It was the nature of a child to play.
"Okay!" Vivianna was not a strict mother either. Most of the time, she was being very tolerant.
Augustine stood aside, his eyes falling on her, radiating with the glimmer of a motherly figure. The silent and strong love for his son, he thought, there wouldn't be another woman in the world who could offer Zeph.
Zeph ran around happily again and then ran to Vivianna. Vivianna held him up and kissed his tender little face. Zeph put his small arms around her neck and beamed.
Augustine stretched out his hand and ruffled his little head. Zephimmediately nuzzled his arm like a puppy. Zeph's dependence and love for him touched Augustine's softest heart.
In the car, Augustine announced a
message. In order to make it
convenient to pick up his son, and in
addition, his castle was pro
build a children's playground, Augustine decided to move out of the castle and set up his home in the downtown area.
The community's security measures were first-class and were close to their company and Zeph's school.
The most important thing was that Augustine wanted to live with them as a family of three, rather than being served by a bunch of servants in the castle. The night when he was at Vivianna's house gave Augustine that idea, he'd missed it.
Therefore, the house didn't need to be too spacious. Instead, it'd be better if it was smaller and cozier.
At that moment, Augustine took them to their new home. Zeph was very excited. Vivianna didn't seem to have any opinion. In her heart, the education and safety of her son must be prioritized. What was more, with a recording in hand, she felt more at ease.
Augustine's new home was located in a high-rise house on the 38th floor. There were two private elevators, which had a fingerprint lock system. It was safe.
The decoration was luxurious with expensive furniture and top-grade security equipment. Even the glass was anti-explosive. There was a small house downstairs. It was the only apartment in the whole city centre. It offered the sunshine all
day and 360 degrees of panoramic light.
"How much is it?" Vivianna was watching and marvelling at the same time. Meanwhile she was curious about the price as well.
"I'm not sure." Augustine replied cooly.
Vivianna turned to look at him, "You don't know? Didn't you buy it?"
Augustine shrugged his shoulders calmly, "I just bought this real estate company today. If I had to be honest with you, it could be said that the whole property belongs to me." Vivianna's face froze. She stiffed her neck and looked at the luxury building extended to a few kilometres away. The shock in her heart could not be described in words.
In the end, it was attributed to a saying that the rich had a somewhat abnormal style of doing things.
"Daddy, I have my own room!" Zeph shouted ecstatically.
Augustine walked over with a smile. The room was decorated in a lovely and cute way. The ornaments were children's favourite robots, toy cars and miniature aeroplanes. It was a small paradise for kids. Vivianna walked around the nearly three hundred square meters luxurious studio. She looked calm but her heart was already in turmoil. So, in the next year, she would be living there with that man and her
son?
"From now on, there will be only three of us in this house. We won't be having any servants, so you should do what the hostess does!" Augustine's husky voice came from behind.
Hearing "the hostess" made Vivianna nervous. She was not the hostess there! She was just a temporary guest.
"The house is too big. It's a little troublesome to clean up." Vivianna complained. After all, her work was not easy.
"I will help. If we can't handle it, I will ask the housekeeper to come here once a week." Augustine proposed.
"Alright" Vivianna pursed her lips. In fact, she usually took care of her son and herself. Now that there was another man, she didn't know whether she could cope with him.
"It's still early. Let's go downstairs for a look and buy some groceries. In the future, we should create a warm feeling at home for our son."
The feeling as a family was not only
what his son needed, but also what he needed. In the past few years,
•he
had given up too many personal feelings Now, he was the top leader of the Giltstone Enterprise. He wanted to regain the warmth of a family.
Vivianna looked at him in surprise. Why was that man so easy to get along with now?
