Chapter 47 b
Naina admires the shimmering dress in front of her. In her imagination, she sees how beautiful Tasya, whom she will soon call 'Mom,' will look in this dress.
"What's wrong, Naina?" Nathan asks, puzzled. He straightens his shirt after trying on the outfit he'll wear at Ronan's special event.
"This is nice, Daddy," Naina enthusiastically informs him. "Look at it. It's just like those Disney Princess dresses."
Nathan chuckles. "This kind of style isn't suitable for you, Naina. Ask for something more comfortable, okay, so the boutique owner can make it for you?" They're in one of Sunny's acquaintances' boutiques. It's the final fitting before Nathan and Tasya's wedding in two weeks.
Naina rolls her eyes and looks sarcastically at the man who still has a smile on his face. "Not for me. It's for Mama Tasya!"
Nathan's laughter starts to fade. "This? Do you think it's good for Tasya?"
"Take a good look, Daddy." Naina pouts. "This would look good on Mama Tasya. Not like the one Grandma picked. Tacky."
Nathan's brow furrows. "You know the word 'tacky,' Naina."
"Why is Daddy Raptor so annoying?" Naina folds her arms across her chest.
Although Nathan laughs at Naina's antics, his eyes are fixed on the dress his niece is pointing to. It is indeed beautiful. Simple. Not too many ornaments around it. The cut also seems appropriate for Tasya.
"Sir, Miss Tasya is ready with her dress. Could you please check?"
One of the boutique's employees informs them. Nathan follows the employee to the place where Tasya is trying on the dress chosen for her. Naina is also there. "It's probably not good. Tacky," she grumbles while folding her arms. Nathan just laughs while tousling Naina's neatly combed hair. As a result, the child screams in protest and punches Nathan's arm repeatedly. Adding to the cheerfulness in the boutique, although there has to be some shouting from Naina. Tasya takes a deep breath. She doesn't actually like her future mother-in-law's choice of dress. But to keep Sunny's smile wide, Tasya gives in. The dress, with its wide flare from the waist down, doesn't make it difficult for Tasya to walk. But let me tell you, this dress is heavy! Tasya even had to muster extra strength just to get out of the fitting room. During the fitting, she needed the help of two people to put it on.
This dress is meant for the party. During the solemnization, Tasya insisted that her traditional gown be ivory in color and have a simple yet elegant design. Instead of Sunny's choice, which had a lot of crystals around the chest and waist. Oh my God!
Nathan, who is watching Tasya approach him, falls silent. He no longer teases Naina, who is now also silent. Their eyes are fixed on Tasya, who is struggling a bit to move.
"How about it, Naina?" Nathan agrees with Naina's earlier statement.
"See, I told you it's tacky, right?"

Phew!
Tasya is incredibly relieved. Nathan and Naina didn't like the dress she just tried on. Sunny is confused about why they don't like it, considering it's the trending choice for couples throwing a party. The theme matches the dress too. "Grandma, can you see that Tasya is having trouble walking? What if Tasya trips? It wouldn't be funny if the bride falls, right?" Naina protests.
"Mama, Naina. You can't keep calling Daddy's future wife 'Tasya," Sunny corrects with a smile. Her eyes never leave her granddaughter. The happiness leading up to Nathan and Tasya's wedding isn't just theirs; it's Naina's too. The little girl never tires of going here and there to check on the wedding preparations.
She says, "I want to be part of it too, Grandma. I mean, what if the background in our photos looks bad because the decorations don't match?"
Even though the girl is also busy with many exams at school. Sunny is a bit worried that it might affect Naina's concentration later.
"Yeah," Naina grins innocently. "Mama Tasya. But seriously, not that dress. It's ugly. I don't like it."
Sunny sighs softly. "I've already given new references. Maybe you'll like them." Her future daughter-in-law doesn't protest at all. But why is she getting such a big protest from her own granddaughter? Oh dear. Tasya is the one getting married, right? Why is Naina making it so complicated?
"Earlier, I picked out a dress for Mama Tasya, Grandma. Has it been taken inside?"
"It has." Sunny lovingly strokes the top of Naina's head. "You like it when Mama Tasya wears that dress."
"I think it's beautiful," Naina smiles broadly. "But let's see how pretty my mom will be when she wears it."
Sunny's heart warms. Since Noah Sinclair and Jannet Sinclair left them all, the hole named loss has never been completely filled. Especially for Naina. Sunny hasn't seen such a genuinely happy smile on her granddaughter's face for a long time. Her prayer is simple: may Tasya truly love Naina and not leave her alone, even though Naina's status is just Nathan's niece.
But it seems like there's no need for that fear in Sunny's heart. Getting to know Tasya over the past few years, combined with what Tasya has done for Naina, is proof enough that the woman who will be her son's wife has a kind heart. "Let's just wait for Mama Tasya to put it on, okay."

Nathan waits patiently. His part of trying on the suit that matches the dress Tasya will wear is already done. There are no issues with the size. He chose to wait for Tasya, who is now trying on the dress that Naina picked. While killing time, he works on reports regarding developments in Sidoarjo.
Everything is going smoothly and as predicted, according to him. This includes the new collaboration with Robert, which has garnered praise from Faldom's shareholders. It turns out Robert's presence in the business world is quite respected by competitors and other business partners. Luckily, Nathan managed to get Robert to cooperate.
Maybe because of his concentration on the report in front of his laptop, Nathan doesn't realize that his name has been called several times. There's only one voice that makes him look up.
Tasya.
Nathan stares, unblinking, focused on the figure now wearing a dress with a much simpler cut. Although it's a bit revealing, there's some kind of cardigan or whatever it's called, Nathan doesn't really understand. But it covers the exposed chest and shoulders.
"Um... Not nice, huh?" Tasya asks while examining the lower part of her dress. It's quite long, especially at the back, and there will be a tulle fabric with small beads that will decorate her arms. She's not wearing it now, but it's safe to say that the fabric will add a luxurious touch to this white dress.
"It's beautiful," Nathan gets up from his seat. He immediately leaves his laptop behind and asks the two boutique employees who have been accompanying and assisting Tasya since earlier to leave them alone.
"But why are you looking at me like that?" Tasya is nervous. Although she's often been stared at intensely by Nathan, this time the gaze is different. It's as if he wants to devour her alive, leaving nothing behind. Oh my goodness, what could possibly be wrong?
"You... look absolutely beautiful." Nathan is now right in front of her. The distance between them is no longer far. Nathan scans every curve of Tasya's figure wrapped in this dress with satisfaction. Naina was right; Tasya looks incredibly beautiful in her chosen dress. "Especially when you take off your glasses." Slowly, Nathan takes the thick-framed glasses that have been perched on Tasya's face.
"I can't see clearly without them," Tasya complains, squinting slightly.
"Don't you see me either?"
