Chapter 19

My mom clicked on the video, her hands trembling. The video was taken secretly.

After a few seconds of silence, a piercing scream rang out.

It was me.

It was a video of me before I was beaten to death.

Together with two lackeys, a tall coach beat me with an iron bar till I could no longer move.

They then tied me to a chair and made a video call to my mom.

My mom yelled angrily through the screen, “Violet! You’re so bold! How dare you hang up on me!

“If you can’t get rid of your bad habits, rot in there!”

Seeing that, my mom fainted after a painful convulsion.

When she woke up, it was already two days later.

In the hospital, she was so dejected that she didn’t even have the strength to speak.

All she could do was shed tears.

She said over and over again, “I’m sorry, Violet. I’m sorry.”

Finally, after I died, I heard her apology. But it was pointless. It was too late.

I stood in front of her, staring straight at her.

Mom, I really hate you.

Mom, don’t cry for me. I don’t need it anymore.
