Daryl went to the kitchen to prepare dinner. Not long after, Zack and Benjamin came back.

They sat at the table and began to eat.

All of a sudden, Daryl's phone vibrated. She glanced at the screen and saw a message from Lyman. "Daryl, I have something important to tell you! Don't let my cousin know that I'm talking to you! Please!" "What's wrong?"

Zack asked in a low voice when he saw that Daryl's expression changed slightly.

"Nothing. Daxton ask me about my character in the movie."

Daryl said calmly and texted Lyman back.

Seeing that, Zack didn't ask any more questions. He just continued to eat elegantly.

It took Daryl and Lyman a lot of time to text with each other and then Daryl found out that this weekend was Karla's birthday.

And Zack was going to take Benjamin home.

Daryl thought Zack wouldn't go back to the old house because of this. After all, there was a deep gap between him and Karla. But Zack still took the little guy back.

But soon, Lyman gave her an explanation. Zack took his son back not for Karla's birthday, but for the anniversary of his mother's death. Seeing this, Daryl's heart jolted. Was Karla's birthday the anniversary of Zack mother's death? Subconsciously, she cast a furtive glance at Zack and pursed her lips.

After dinner, Daryl went out for a walk with Benjamin, Luca and Maruko.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Daryl asked the little boy, "Baby, will daddy take you back to the old house this weekend?"

"Yes."

Benjamin nodded his head and said, "Daddy takes me to the old house at this time every year!"

"Daddy is going to worship grandma."

However, when Daryl and Benjamin went back to their room, Luca went upstairs to the third floor and knocked on the door of the study. "Come in."

A deep voice came from the room. Luca pushed the door open and came in.

Zack looked up and found it was Luca. He lowered his head and asked in a low voice, "What's up?"

"Are you going to take Daryl back this weekend?"

Hearing this, Zack stopped looking through the documents. His face darkened. "Why do you ask this?"

"I just want to ask."

Luca raised his eyebrows slightly, "If you don't take Daryl seriously, I'm afraid that someone will take her away." "What do you mean?"

Luca sneered, "By the way, you are not the only one to worship your mom every year."

Then he turned around and left.

Looking at Luca's thin receding figure, Zack pursed his thin lips tightly. His long black eyes lowered, and the temperature all over his body instantly dropped a lot.

Time flied and soon it was weekend.

On this day, Daryl specially informed Daxton and changed her schedule. She didn't know what had happened to Zack's mother, but she always felt that Zack shouldn't always face these alone. "Mommy, will you go back with Luca today?"

Benjamin held her hand and asked.

Daryl nodded. The three sat on the sofa downstairs. Finally, Zack came downstairs.

"You can have meals with Luca at home today."

"Daddy, Mommy wants to go back with us, so let her go with Luca."

After a while, they arrived at the Ji family's old house.

Zack got off the car first, and Nathan came out on behalf of the elders in the family to welcome them.

Daryl came out with Benjamin and Luca.
