Chapter 238 Are You Jealous Of Zack
Zack cast a cold glance at Lyman and the latter covered his mouth subconsciously. "I'm sorry, Zack. I was talking nonsense just now!"
Zack looked away indifferently and said nothing to his cousin.
Daryl jogged Lyman and gave him a look, indicating him to stop talking.
Lyman gave her another look, indicating that he was really curious and helpless.
The two looked at each other for a while, and suddenly they heard a cold voice coming.
"It's the X Entertainment. Lyman, get off the car!"
Lyman looked at Zack in shock, and then said in an aggrieved tone, "Zack, why do you drive me away so soon? I have invited some people to play with you today! Daryl asked for a leave and didn't go to work. I'm so bored!" "Go to work if you are bored."
Zack didn't sympathize with him at all.
"Zack, you are so heartless."
Lyman snorted and got off the car quickly.
Holding Benjamin in her arms, Daryl thought to herself, 'It seems that Zack is in a bad mood. Will he throw me away just because I talked a lot before?'
But Daryl's guess wasn't right. Zack took her and Benjamin back to the old house.
"Thank God. I thought your father would never come to the old house again." Daryl whispered to Benjamin.
Benjamin replied calmly, "Mommy, calm down. Daddy will go back to the old house. After all, great grandpa is still here."
"Well, you seem to be right."
The mother and son followed Zack and whispered all the way.
At dusk, Rylee came back with her family.
But this time, in addition to her husband and son, she also brought another person with her.
"Cannon, you are discharged from the hospital so soon. How are you feeling now?"
Cannon nodded and said, "Well, I'm fine after taking the medicine."
"That's good. Alina was worried when she heard that you were in hospital. So she came to see you today."
Rylee said with a smile. Then she pulled Alina to her side and said, "Come on, Alina. Say hello to your uncle."
"Hello, Uncle Cannon. I heard that you are not feeling well, and my parents also care about you. But they are busy in the company, so they sent me to visit you."
Alina smiled gently.
Cannon nodded. "Thanks. I'm fine. I'm old now. It's normal for me to go to the hospital occasionally." "My father asked me to bring this to you."
Alina took a box from her assistant and opened it. There was an ancient cigarette pot in it. She gently opened it and said,
"Last time my father went on a business trip to the South and found this little thing. He said that you liked to collect it, so he specially kept it."
"You are so thoughtful!"
Cannon took fancy to this gift very much.
Karla took it and smiled, "Cannon, look at the workmanship and age of this thing. I'm afraid it's not something they randomly picked and chose. Alina is always so low-key and modest." Cannon took the cigarette pot out of the box and smiled, "You are right."
Alina was soon invited to a dinner party.
It was almost dinner time. With a long face, Cannon asked the servant beside him, "Have you invited Zack?"
"Yes, sir."
The servant replied respectfully, "I went there half an hour ago, and I went there again just now."
"This unfilial son, I think he just doesn't want to come over!"
Cannon snorted.
"Why don't you invite him in person?"
Sitting next to him, Rickey said slowly, "You are not willing to start the dinner, and still wait for him, but you feel ashamed to invite him over in person. He's a proud man. You and your son are identical in characters." Hearing what Rickey said, Cannon's face turned pale. In order to save his face, Cannon said to the servant in a low voice, "The dinner will be ready in five minutes. If Zack doesn't come, we won't have to wait for him!" "Yes, sir."
"Great Grandpa, why hasn't Zack come yet?"
Sitting next to Rickey, Westley asked curiously while eating snacks, "I also want to sleep with Bennie tonight.
"They are coming soon."
Rickey laughed and said, "Just wait for a while. By the way, don't eat so much snacks. Who bought them for you?" "It was bought by Alina."
The little fat guy said with grievance, and then secretly put the snacks away and hid them on his body.
But as Rickey said, Zack, Daryl and Benjamin came soon.
"Ask the servants to serve the dinner."
When Cannon saw them, he ordered his servants.
"Hey, Bennie, you're finally here."
As soon as Westley saw Benjamin, he ran to him and whispered to him.
Daryl followed Zack, but she soon realized that the dinner today seemed unusual.
Because Alina was here! "Oh, here you are, Zack. We just mentioned you. Come and have a seat!"
Seeing Zack, Rylee took a step forward and pulled him to sit beside Alina.
"Look, you two have business dealings. You can definitely have a good talk when you meet!"
With a cold face, Zack sat down. But Alina didn't mind his cold face and greeted him with a smile.
"Zack, long time no see."
"Yes."
Zack nodded and replied.
On the other side, Daryl stood there alone. No one asked her to take a seat. Zack and Bennie were pulled away.
She lowered her eyes and thought with dissatisfaction, 'If I had known it earlier, I wouldn't have come here.'
"Daryl, please sit here for a while. Dinner will be ready soon."
Just when she felt a little uneasy, Karla walked up to her and said gently.
"Okay."
Daryl answered. She breathed a sigh of relief. Whether Karla was faking it or not, she didn't look so embarrassed now.
But when she sat next to Rickey, she saw Zack and Alina sitting together.
The two of them were all good-looking. They looked like a perfect couple. Subconsciously, Daryl felt a little depressed, but she didn't say anything. She just lowered her head and gently bit her lower lip. "Are you unhappy?"
Rickey's voice suddenly rang in her ears.
Daryl raised her eyes and looked at him in confusion. "Grandpa, are you talking to me?"
"Or who else could it be?"
Rickey looked at her arrogantly and snorted, "Are you jealous of Zack?"
"I didn't." Daryl shook her head calmly.
