Chapter 22 Welcome Home
We’d spent hours on that jet. And I can’t complain and say they weren’t unproductive.
The first thing to be done was Ethan and I were both placed on the bed in the back of the cabin.
I found that my sister has a new talent. Instead of just healing flowers and plants, she can also heal tissue and skin. Which was fantastic for us because we didn’t want to go home and scare the girls.
“When did you learn this, Sash?” I wheezed out as she placed her warm fingers on my bleeding side.
“I found out a few years ago when one of the witches couldn’t heal one of their little girls, I placed my hands on her and she healed lickity-split! It was the most amazing thing!” She giggled.
I watched fascinated as her hands began to glow and my skin pulled and sewed itself back together. It hurt, but not as bad as before. I watched until there was nothing left and the pain was completely gone! I was more than relieved!
Then she turned her attention to Ethan.
“Your royal highness, may I take care of your wound?” She asked politely.
Ethan chuckled, then winced.
“Just call me Ethan,” he insisted. “And I would be so happy if you could fix this gaping whole in my shoulder! It’s killing me… Literally!” He groaned.
Sasha smiled at Ethan and placed her hands on his shoulder and we watched as it disappeared just like mine had.
“I think we will get along splendidly!” she giggled to Ethan.
Ethan sighed in relief when he was fully healed.
“Thanks! You have no idea how grateful I am right now!” Ethan smiled at her.
Even though they were smiling I knew neither one was interested in the other. They were more like brother and sister… Which was a good thing, because that was how they were going to stay.
“Okay, boys. You should rest for a while, then when you are feeling up to it, come join Tony and I up front and we can catch up!” She beamed at us.
“Sounds like a plan!” Slurred Ethan.
“You bet, Sash!” I murmured half asleep.
A few hours later Ethan and I woke up and we went and chatted with my siblings. We caught them up on Melissa and Ethan and their time at camp. We told them about Becky and all the new house staff. Ethan even mentioned his “royal guards” he had for Mel and how I was jealous at that.
Everyone laughed at me. But I just shrugged my shoulders and went along with it.
We heard how they had been in that bubble since Mother and Father had died. That Sean was the one to kill them and took them because he wanted to hurt me for stealing his father from him.
This kid was nuts! He really needed help… Or had needed someone to tell him the truth! Well, either way, it would do him no good. His soul was now with his father’s and either Jack tells him the truth or not. They won’t be going anywhere ever again.
Ethan arranged a driver to come pick us up at our airstrip and we all piled into a nice new SUV. It only took us about a half hour to get home.
Mel flew out the front doors and straight into my arms.
I kissed her deep and slow and needy.
“I missed you so much!” she sobbed into my lips.
“I know baby! I’m gonna take care of you!” I promised.
I looked back over my shoulder at my siblings and they just smirked.
“Go take care of your wife, you goof! She needs you!” Shasha chided.
I smiled and lifted my mate into my arms and ran with her in my arms to our bedroom and locked the door, and proceeded to devour my bride.
