MEHJABEEN

Chapter Chapter Twenty One

Fire Red Hair

Yesterday's Events in Elffenda:

Contrary to Elffy's suffering in the unknown world, in Elffenda, Quentin walks to his Chamber, after greeting him farewell to Elffy, remembering his mother's words to visit the Troll King of Toralina.

He walks past that antiquity, a cherished one with all his heart. The series of rings and crowns were placed in a goblet, to preserve her works forever. This got Quentin to reminisce about that specific day he found his light. Or can one say, who brought a real light to his faded, daily routined life?

••• Ten Lapse Earlier

While the other boys his ages and youth's in this Kingdom played the love game intuition, while the youngest played the horses and spoiled with love and affection from their parents, Quen was sent to the educator, a wise Troll from the Kingdom of Toralina, titled as the best teacher, who taught Quen of disciplines, how to bring a fruitful result out from a puzzle, which is in all the crown prince’s agendas.

And also taught about Intuition with a twist of the game of thrones. The following is if that chosen Prince plays the cards with spades to start.

And after the other variant player's been hooked, that chosen Prince shall play the one that's on in his heart.

Which tears off into three phases.

|| The gambles of life are only fun-loving when the soul is finally whole; A few mannequins dolls are not worth the exorbitant robbery when it's with a saturnalian vibe; And boys, when it is love, and if it's not rough, it isn't zingy. ||

These are the three mantras his teacher has taught him. Although he grew up hearing the stories of the other higher authorities' daughter’s and princess’s expectations from a male Elf to bring forth, and the things they're obliged to do. Among other piles of idiots, Quen isn't among one to be fooled and believe it all.

But the girls he was forced to befriend were pure headaches. With all their heavy odored fragrance, and eye-blinding dress colors. Not to mention the high-pitched screaming and catfights with the maids and regional girls in the small towns. Poor souls, can't help but blame the corridor, for the way they treated them.

And for that reason, none of the maids approached him, fearing the upcoming consequences which are from the two Mannequins.

And that's one of the reasons why he hasn't tried to be connected with them. They made him feel fear, thus threads to isolation in his mansion.

He'd gone several months, with the excuse of busting his schedule with the educator for some weapon practice. And it worked in the starting but they got this as an excuse and called home many times and pressed on to connect him in their pony conversations.

And his reply would be not much more than one-line comments. Quen succeeds in defeating the fates intervention.

But that cunning fate got another idea to intrude in his little peaceful life.

And now this, On an Orange day, with the heat blazing with absolute heat, Quentin’s family friends, that so-called daughter of highly authorized warriors, Hiwa and Yona sent him a beauty fly to invite Quen for a pool party, regarding Yona’s turning eight year old.

The pool party isn't a fun activity, it calls more for a massage day. And other girly things.

It's a complete trap to leech on him...

Quen at first felt diffident to join them knowing they both would be hot on his heels the moment he arrived at the destination.

And the rest is history, as they usually praise him till he blushes plum and their failed attempts to flirt were tiring and exhausting. Back then, Quen was just a nine-year-old boy and his build was already nearing perfection with his long hair, reaching his chin evenly on the sides.

On his training with the fellow warriors, he heard that a little girl merely aged five was found in their Kingdom’s borderline to Alffenda without anyone's care.

This information intrigued him. Left untouched? Just like that!

And when Quen questioned them, they declined to give details of the location she was led to be. But when he threatened to reveal their secret spot just made to consume the drinks of Royal nectarines.

Which is right off the Kingdom’s rules to offense. And so they said the truth, in the borderline of their respective Kingdom. Which is on his way to the preaching home.

And also reminded him that the villagers near the parameters were thinking the little girl to be bait from the enemy kingdom.

He keeps an eye on this certain information, as the days just pass and no one comes to collect her back or the Kingdom takes some responsibility to hear her out.

Quen was tempted to meet that girl. And worried for her health in this freezing weather. And plans a better plan to meet the village’s talk of the week as well as to delay the torturous day from that devil's clutches to half a day for his remedy.

Quentin closed his eyes as he felt himself starting to spiral again. He couldn't afford to lose control now, not with him to spend his tortured halftime with that devils, and not when he had planned to see the girl for the first time after a long week.

Neither of his family doesn't know. If they did, they might cancel his plans. And wouldn't have allowed him out of the room without a guard following wherever he goes.

He felt the building panic abate a little. When he was a little calmer, he opened his eyes and slowly got up. When under stress, readied himself as he took a deep breath and went straight to his planned spot with a basket full of fruits and other goodies for the Little one.

He began to sort out how to respond to this as he left the mansion and to be calm and collected while focusing on the climbers and trying to keep his hands from shaking as he crossed his parents' room.

And took off once he exited the gate and on the journey to look for that one.

On the contrary,

In a distant memory, of a Little girl, who remembers her earlier day, that one frightfully hot morning

•••

When the Little girl was about six years old, she awoke to feel very cross, and she became crosser still when she saw that the servant who stood by her bedside was not her maid.

“Who are you?” The Little girl said to the strange yet beautiful lady with Emerald green eyes and Fire red hair.

“Why isn't my nanny here?” The girl inquired.

The lady at first looked frightened, but she soon smirked and only stammered when she formed a perfect lie about her Nanny could not come due to sickness.

Hearing this, the Little girl threw herself into a crying fit and called for her. The poor little girl looked only more frightened and repeated that her only Nanny couldn't get sick and leave her with nobody.

And a voice said, to the little girl that,

“ Whomever you're destined to meet will never be worthy enough to look at you as an equal being. And will always leave you to nothing.”

The Little girl was scared at the ringing voice with hatred-filling words. When she saw that the beautiful lady was wickedly smiling, with her eyes turning a shade darker, the little girl cried harder in fear.

The lady who stood near her bed caught up with the loud cries and acted soon to console her with sweet nothing and took her out of the house where she's grown. At first, the little girl was reluctant but later, she accepted when the lady cooed and praised her obedience.

There was something mysterious in the air that morning. The Little girl could feel it.

Nothing was done in its regular order and several of the native servants seemed missing, while those whom the little girl saw slunk or hurried about with ashy and scared faces. But no one would tell her anything and her Nanny did not come.

The lady with fire red hair made the Little girl walk for so long and then took her in her arms and carried her within the woods followed by a streamlined river.

The strange lady who carried the girl comes to an end and lays her down with some treats while she ate the food as she had no breakfast in the morning, as the lady orders her to stay still till her Nanny comes and walks away around the bush.

After she ate her meals and packed some for later, she waited patiently wondering when her Nanny would come.

She was left alone as the morning went on, to welcome the dusk’s arrival and at last, she was left to wander out into the woods and tried to distract herself by beginning playing by herself under a tree near the giant rock.

She pretended that she was making a flowerbed, and she stuck big scarlet hibiscus blossoms into little heaps of earth and lay there as she made rings and crowns from the twigs and wildflowers.

Waking up she searches for her Nanny’s presence, but there ain't none but the forest full of all the loveliness echoing around her.

She awaits her arrival with innocent eyes and makes more crowns and rings with the pieces she collects in the woods, but to her disappointment, she is left alone.

And on her third day, she realized that the strange woman tricked her and left her to eat by the animals in the forest.

She used the Giant rock as her ensconce to tuck away any least attractions from the creatures. And took some berries and some leaves from the herb tree which she knows and ate them for her growing appetite.

The rock used to lay on was hard and unmold to her comfort. And the bed she made was drying and stiffening as they died.

She knows how to make flower beds, so she made new beds every morning and protected her body from the cold wet ground. Even though she is tricked, she doesn't lose hope that her Nanny will surely reach out to her.

And so she waited with her hunger, famished to extinction. As her body becomes fragile, to withstand the weather.

A day later, she heard some rustling in the woods. More like stomps of someone strolling near her. And then she saw some people walking around.

Relief washed her heart, and on count she tried to signal them by running towards them but held back as she took two more steps, finding some weapons in their arms. They looked so rugged and stoic.

With no emotions flickering in their eyes. In between their strolls, they started to fight and hurt each other. It's scary to watch the huge hulks turn over each other for what... She didn't know.

Fearing the worst to happen, she sighed and slowly retract to her safe zone which she called Mr. Giant rock, and saw the people walk here and there.

And when they soon found her, they looked angry as if her presence irritated them to the core, and some threw stones and sticks at her to pass the time. Her skin got new scratches and bruises from the non-stop bullying.

As if asking her to walk away...But where?

When they realized that she wasn't moving anywhere, they left her to die. Not minding how innocent she looked.

When the day passed as no one cared about her dying alone, the concept of her life was changed to good when her expectations got her to the day, she saw a boy more like a man with sculpted built and chin length golden blonde hair, which shines through the sunlight like a glaze found walking on his own around the tree line with an intrigued look on his facial features.

He got a small knife holder around his waist and a kneader basket covered with some treats. Because the smell it's emitting is mouthwatering.

At first, the man didn't notice the Little girl who was hidden beneath the bushes, as she smelt the delicious food in the air.

Her dress was badly soaked in her sweats, with her pale face paler like the moon's reflection. She thought her appearance was the one thing that scared the intruders. So she hurriedly wiped her face and dusted her worn clothes and made herself quite presentable. Or so she thought.

But when she stood in the corner viewing the man who walked not caring about her presence like fellows. And scared that he might hurt her...

But the food he carried smelt so good and she couldn't help but the thought of him as another fellow ignoring her presence like the others did a few days back, sickened her with worry.

But her conscience declined her judgment. And asked her to signal her disguised appearance. She knew that it wasn't going to work, anywho she tried.

Slowly without making any noise, she walks to her Rock, then and there she gets yet another idea and collects the Maple leaves which surrounded her with twigs that are drying to death. Like her voice dying deep inside. And refusing to come out. She tried again and again, but it was still a big No no. So she planned to do what she does well at the time awaiting her Nanny’s arrival without losing hope.

Seeing the earth line still moisty with the ground near her was covered with a mish-mash of nonsensical doodles and a series of crowns, all done by herself.

And chose a ring she made among those things, which was the only thing that looked approachable and sprawled on the wet Rocky palates.

Picking one from the many, with the last hope, she threw it towards the walking male mannequin.
