Chapter 805 Disgusting (Part One)
"Are you sure you want to do this?" Greg stared at Rona. He couldn't believe her change.
Nodding vigorously, Rona said firmly, "Yes, this job is very important to her, so I beg you to let her stay."
Tears welled up in Chelsea's eyes. She didn't expect Rona to be so kind. She had treated Chelsea like that before, which made her feel more ashamed. "Thank you." Chelsea said with gratitude. At the same time, she made a deep bow to Rona, for Rona's kindness and for Rona's willingness to plead for her.
"Well, since you have decided to let it go, I have nothing to say. I'll give your face." Greg turned to Chelsea, "You can go back to work first. Remember to watch your language shut in the future."
"Yes, Mr. Wei. I'll keep that in mind." Chelsea bowed again and left the CEO's office.
Greg turned to Rona, "Rona, it was her words that made you faint. Why do you still speak for her?"
Rona smiled gracefully, with infinite tenderness in her eyes, as if she was immersed in memory. "Since I was sick, I really feel how wonderful life is. How could a person who used to be almost close to death take such a trifle seriously? And I think for her, forgiveness is much better than punishment. I think after this incident, she will never do this again."
Looking at Rona in front of him, Greg felt sorry for her and felt guiltier. If he had cared more about her and found out her disease earlier, she wouldn't have suffered so much.
"To be honest, I don't blame her. Chelsea is defending the woman beside you, isn't she? In their eyes, I am a shameless mistress. I can understand their feelings, because I also hate my current role. I really don't want to be a third party, but I can't give up missing you, so I come to you. Greg, I'm really in pain now. Can you tell me what to do?" Tears welled up in Rona's eyes as she spoke. She looked pitiful.
Greg was shocked by her words. He stood up and came to Rona, holding her in his arms and feeling her trembling.
According to the time, she and Greg had been together eleven years ago. Of course, she was not the third party, but... Alas.
"Rona, I'm sorry. It's all my fault." Holding her in his arms, Greg sighed deeply. What should he do now?
He didn't want to disappoint Rona, but he couldn't let go of Leona. His heart was full of entanglement.
Lying in the arms of Greg, Rona felt his steady and powerful heartbeat, and her heart was full of satisfaction. That was exactly what she wanted, which was much better than forcing him to be responsible.
"It's not your fault. I'm willing to do everything for you. As long as you are good, I'll be fine." Buried in the arms of Greg, Rona said dully.
Since the morning when Greg and Rona appeared in the company hand in hand, the whole Wei International Trade Company had been immersed in the sound of discussion. Most of them were cursing Rona as a shameless mistress. It was obvious that during the period of time, Leona had won over most people's hearts.
But since Chelsea came out of the CEO's office, the topic of discussion suddenly changed. Many people began to appreciate Rona. After all, kind-hearted people were always liked by others.
At noon, Rona bought a bento and had lunch with Greg in the office. In this way, she and he could fully enjoy the world of two people.
"Greg, eat this." Rona put a piece of sparerib into the lunch box of Greg.
Greg picked up a chicken leg and put it in front of her, "You should also eat more. Your body needs nourishment now."
"Do you remember that we had meals together like this?" Rona said with a smile.
"Of course I remember. At that time, we often had lunch on the hillside behind the school. I still remember that you liked it..."
On a sunny afternoon, the sun shone in. The big office was filled with a warm atmosphere, completely different from the previous luxury and cold.
When it was time to get off work, Rona came to the CEO's office again. "Greg, I booked a French restaurant. Let's go together later, okay?"
Greg, who was reading documents, paused. He planned to go back to the villa tonight. Yesterday, he had no chance to explain to Leona about what happened to Rona, and today Leona didn't call him all day. He guessed that she must be angry.
"I have something to do tonight. I may not be able to go with you." Said Greg after a pause.
"Well, then don't work too late. I'm leaving now." Disappointment was written all over Rona's face, but she recovered soon.
She was the secretary of Greg. She knew his daily schedule clearly and knew that he didn't have any appointment tonight. He said he had something to deal with, so he must go to see that Leona.
Rona was smart enough not to say it out. She wanted to create a good image in the heart of Greg and not to make him feel disgusted.
After Rona left, Greg quickly packed up and walked out with the car key.
As usual, Leona returned to the villa in the afternoon. She went to the vegetable market to buy some nutritious dishes and began to cook. The doctor said that Eden needed to eat more nutritious food, so Leona specially bought a chicken, preparing to cook chicken soup. In the past two days, she tried her best to avoid thinking about Greg. As a sensitive child, Eden would observe her mood carefully. She didn't want her son to worry about her.
She was no longer the little girl she used to be. She had lived a life of only love. Now she had a greater responsibility. Her focus would not be wasted on meaningless things.
After taking a shower, Leona changed into a set of clean clothes, and then took out the pregnancy test stick from her bag. A few minutes later, to her disappointment, it was still showing that she wasn't pregnant. She sighed and threw the pregnancy test stick into the trash can.
Yesterday, Greg didn't come back for dinner, and Leona didn't expect him to come back today, so she only prepared the food for Eden and Lina.
After packing up the soup, Leona intended to put the food into the lunch box. She planned to go to the hospital to eat with Eden, which would be more appetizing.
She was lost in her thought that she didn't even hear the sound of car engine from outside. When Greg appeared behind her, she suddenly said, "The dishes today are not bad."☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
