Chapter 1439
Mason quickly brushed the snowflakes off Tiffanie's cheeks with a gentle hand.
"Are you cold?" he asked, his concern evident. Even though his own face was layered with snow, his first thought was still about her. Tiffanie smiled and returned the gesture, gently wiping snow from his face. Once they both stood up, Mason dusted off her coat.
"Be careful out here," he advised.
"I know," Tiffanie replied with a grin, her eyes sparkling with warmth.
They stood outside, waiting eagerly for the Northern Lights, but all they heard from the locals was bad news-the Lights wouldn't be showing up that day, and the weather wasn't looking promising for the next few days either. Feeling a bit let down, Tiffanie sighed, and Mason wrapped his arms around her comfortingly. "We'll stay until we see the Northern Lights, then we can head back," he assured her.
"Alright," she agreed.
Their wait stretched into a week. Iceland's perpetual snow and limited meat options weren't easy to adjust to, and both found themselves losing weight. Tiffanie, especially, was worried about Mason.
"If we don't see them today, let's go home. You've lost weight, and I've already booked our flights for tomorrow," she said, concern lining her voice.
Mason was taken aback, insisting she cancel the tickets, but Tiffanie's eyes were already misty. "Now I understand how you felt when I wouldn't eat," she confessed, her words hitting them both deeply. Mason sighed heavily. "Cancel the tickets. I promised we wouldn't leave until we saw them."
As they held hands and walked outside, Tiffanie suddenly let out a delighted scream.
"Mason! Mason! Look!" she exclaimed, pointing excitedly.
Following her gaze, Mason saw it-the Northern Lights, shimmering like emeralds in the sky, a breathtaking sight that seemed to symbolize hope.
He was transfixed, watching them for what felt like an eternity. Tiffanie, overcome with joy, ran around before darting back to him and leaping into his arms.
"The Northern Lights! Did you see them?!"
"I saw," he replied, catching her smoothly.
Tiffanie slid down and quickly sent a photo to Max. "Max, after a week, Mason and I finally saw the Northern Lights. Check it out!"
Max, amidst a meeting, responded promptly. "Wow, congrats."
Just as Tiffanie was about to reply, she noticed the dried flower again-the one Mason had given her, the one he'd painstakingly dried himself, and the same one present at Maxie's proposal.
"Tiffanie," Mason called softly. "You lost it last time, but I found it again. Can we start over?"
His voice was tentative, unsure if he was pushing too fast, but the Northern Lights were said to bring happiness, and lovers who saw them were meant to be together. Tiffanie stared at the flower, surprised that Mason had brought it all the way to Iceland. Words failed her.
Thinking she was unsure, Mason began to pull back, ready to accept her decision. But she took the flower, tears welling in her eyes.
"Yeah," she finally said softly.
Surprise and joy lit up Mason's eyes, his voice thick with emotion. "From now on, can you promise not to wander off?"
"Yeah," she nodded.
"Tiffanie," he said again.
"Yeah?"
"I love you. I know you might not always like hearing it, but I need to say it. I love you."
Tiffanie looked down at the flower, tears spilling over. "I... I love you too, Mason."
Mason's smile was tender as he pulled her into a tight embrace. "That's all I needed to hear."
They held each other tightly for a good ten minutes before finally letting go. They sat there,
contentedly watching the Northern
Lights a bit longer before heading
back to the hotel.

For a couple who had decided to be together, their last night in Iceland was understandably intense. The next morning, Tiffanie's legs wobbled as she got out of bed.
Mason, nearby, carefully picked out
her clothes and helped her dress After the long night, her cheeks were still flushed, and with a big beanie hat now perched on her head, her face looked even smaller.
Mason couldn't resist giving her cheeks a playful pinch, finding her utterly adorable.
