Chapter 773
Chapter 773 She Has No Intention of Marrying Him
Theresa said, "Mr. White, Charlie, and I have two children. And I haven't gotten over him yet."
"So I think I need to stay by your side." Dick looked at Theresa and said, "You know what kind of person Charlie is. Has he been harassing you recently? He'll pester you forever unless you get married. If you married me, it would be good for both you and me. What do you think?"
Theresa glanced at him and said, "I don't think it's a good idea."
"You can plan to do it now," said Dick.
"No, I don't plan to do that," Theresa said. "Please don't push me anymore and don't make fun of me. If you insist, I'm afraid I can't do acupuncture for you anymore."
The twinkling light in Dick's eyes went out. He sighed and said, "Forget it. I won't push you since you don't want it."
Dick admitted that he proposed to Theresa simply because he wanted to annoy Charlie.
But when Theresa refused him, Dick felt an indescribable loss.
He was jealous of Charlie because Theresa loved Charlie so much.
Theresa breathed a sigh of relief when she realized that Dick didn't make things difficult for her anymore.
She knew that Dick came up with such an idea because he wanted to piss Charlie off.
Theresa didn't intend to get back together with Charlie now, but she didn't want to have anything to do with Dick or let Dick use her to go against Charlie.
She remembered how angry Charlie looked before he left earlier.
It seemed that Charlie believed something was going on between her and Dick.
But it was also a good thing.
When they arrived downstairs, Theresa said to Dick, "Since there is nothing else, I'll go back. Mr. White, go back early and have a good rest."
Dick looked at her and said, "I'll drive you home."
"No, thanks," Theresa said with a smile. "Don't bother. Bye."
The dinner was still going on, and it didn't stop because of the departure of Charlie and Dick.
Anyway, the two of them didn't matter.
After dinner, Robert, Leticia, and Pat went back together.
Chandler hadn't left yet. He stayed to soothe Sam and Celia.
When Chandler followed Sam out, Sam asked, "By the way, who is that woman? You've been here recently. You should know her, right?"
Chandler replied, "Dick has sleep problems. Theresa is his doctor who is responsible for treating his insomnia. You know, Dick is sensitive and has a psychological shadow." Sam rernarked, "He just likes to fool around and think too much about everything. Nobody in our family is like him."
In Sam's eyes, Dick was too sentimental.
Chandler pleaded, "If you have time, you may go to see him alone. In fact, he has always wanted to meet you."
"I don't think he wants to meet me at all." Sam looked at Chandler and asked, "Is he really going to marry that woman?"
Thinking of Theresa, Chandler had to tell the truth. "Honestly, Theresa used to be Charlie's wife. She gave birth to two children for Charlie." Sam's face turned serious.
He had thought that Dick was old enough to get married.
But Sam's face darkened when he learned that Dick intended to marry Charlie's ex-wife who had two children. In Sam's eyes, Dick was just fooling around.
Sam said, "I won't agree to this marriage. You can go back and talk to him. He is not a teenager anymore. If he keeps stirring up trouble, I will be more and more disappointed in him." Charlie had left in a fit of anger.
It was obvious that he still had feelings for Theresa.
Sam would never allow Dick to do such a shameful thing.
