Chapter 5
Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise Chapter 5
Adam didn’t look like someone who would buy cheap things, but what Lumma wanted to buy was not expensive. After thinking
for a while, Lumma thought Adam’s needs were prior, so she took him to a luxury mall.
Lumma looked at Adam, who was walking in front of her. He kept walking and didn’t intend to go into the store to have a look. If
he wandered aimlessly, he might not be able to buy anything.
Lumma sped up and caught up with him. “Mr. Hills, do you want to go into the store?”
Adam nodded and walked into the nearest store, but he was stopped by the staff at the door. “Sir, please line up over there.”
Usually, those luxury brand stores came to serve Adam, who had a high status, and he might not be interested in them. Adam
didn’t expect he has to wait in line to buy a bag.
Lumma quickly took out the company’s Elite Plus card. When the staff saw it, his attitude changed abruptly, and they were
directly invited into the VIP room.
The staff who was responsible for members with Elite Plus cards was very respectful, as if welcoming the king. She took out all
the bags that ordinary customers couldn’t buy after making an appointment for several months. “Mr. and Mrs., take your time.”
Hearing this, Lumma was so embarrassed. “He is my boss.”
Adam also frowned. Although he hadn’t seen his wife for more than two weeks after returning, he didn’t want others to
misunderstand. He explained, “She is helping me choose a gift for my wife.”
“Sorry!” The staff served all kinds of people every day. Normally, she shouldn’t make such a low-level mistake.
Seeing they sat together and their appearances and temperaments were very compatible, the staff naturally felt they should be a
couple.
Adam didn’t know what kind of bags girls liked, so he decided to buy them all and thought there would always be one his wife
liked. “I’ll buy them all.”
The four bags were more than sixty thousand in total.
Then Lumma accompanied Adam to a luxury jewelry store, and the salesperson took them directly to the counter for Valentine’s
Day. “Sir, this necklace is our special necklace for Valentine’s Day. I believe your wife will look amazing when wearing it.”
Adam said, “Okay, I’ll take this one.”
The salesperson liked such straightforward customers. She smiled and looked at Lumma. “Mrs., would you like to try it on?”
“He’s my boss,” Lumma explained patiently while cursing in her mind.
Do I look like I’m intimate with Adam?
I’m obviously an assistant at his command. I’m very cautious in front of him for fear of losing this job. How do I look like his wife?
Lumma looked at Adam. He didn’t explain this time, and his expression didn’t change, but she could clearly feel his displeasure.
In the end, Adam chose two necklaces and spent hundreds of thousands again.
When Lumma helped him swipe the card, she felt a little uncomfortable.
She worked day and night to make money, but she still couldn’t afford a house. But for Adam, the money for buying a few bags
and jewelry was more than her savings in the past few years.
It was true that comparisons would kill your joy.
After the necklaces were packed, Lumma was naturally the one to carry the bags because Leonard hadn’t found a parking space
yet.
After leaving the shopping mall, Adam, who was striding ahead, asked indifferently, “You haven’t bought anything yet?”
Lumma pointed to the front left. “The things I want to buy are not in this mall. I have to walk several hundred meters over there.”
“Show me the way,” Adam said, but he still walked in the front.
The bags and jewelry were not heavy, but the packing boxes were very big. Lumma carried two big bags in each hand like a
Christmas tree full of gifts and looked very funny.
As she didn’t walk faster than Adam, she was left far behind in a short while.
After the staff misunderstood their relationship, Lumma felt Adam was more indifferent to her.
He might worry about being misunderstood again, or he might be worried Lumma would have some improper thoughts about
him. In short, Lumma appreciated his self-consciousness as a married man.
After walking for about ten minutes, they finally arrived at Lumma’s destination, which was a boutique.
Ruby wanted to buy its teddy bear for a long time, but she never had time to come to Hanton City.
Lumma ran to catch up with Adam. “Mr. Hills, the things I want to buy are in this store.”
Adam nodded. “I’ll wait for you outside.”
Lumma didn’t want to keep Adam waiting for a long time, so she bought Ruby’s gift first and then picked a few accessories she
liked.
When seeing all kinds of cute accessories, Lumma was attracted and slowed down, and she picked them carefully.
Adam didn’t have much patience to wait for someone. He waited for Lumma because he wanted to repay her as she helped him
choose gifts.
He stood by the side of the road, lit a cigarette, and took a few whiffs. While smoking, he looked through the thin smoke and the
glass window to see Lumma choosing accessories in the store.
He didn’t see her so happy in the shopping mall just now, but now her eyes lit up as if she was picking treasures.
Will my registered wife like it too?>
Adam walked into the store and held a fluffy doll, trying to imagine his wife holding the doll.
However, he really couldn’t remember what his wife looked like. He vaguely remembered she had a fair and clean face in his
deep memory.
He subconsciously looked at Lumma, and their faces instantly overlapped in his mind.
However, Adam quickly eliminated this ridiculous scene from his mind.
He didn’t pay much attention to women’s appearance and always forgot them after taking a glance.
When he mistook Lumma as his wife, he thought it might be because Lumma was by his side every day.
Lumma saw Adam. “Mr. Hills, do you want to buy a doll for your wife?”
Adam said, “I don’t know if she will like it.”
Lumma smiled. “Mr. Hills, what most of the girls value is not the gift, but your sincerity. You care so much about your wife. She
will like whatever you buy.”
“Really?” His wife didn’t even save his phone number. Would she like what he bought?
Adam thought about it seriously. After getting married, he abandoned his wife and didn’t care about her for a year. Pe didn’t think
he could take her home by a call.
Adam thought he should buy more gifts and then go to pick up his wife...
“I’ll pick some,” he said.
Adam chose carefully, but he really didn’t know what young girls liked. He said to Lumma, “Buy everything you girls like.”
Lumma was a little stunned.
She knew Adam was not short of money. He could even buy the whole store, let alone several accessories. But as an assistant,
Lumma thought she should be rational.
Lumma advised him to buy less, but Adam still picked a lot.
Therefore, Lumma bought a suitcase to hold the gifts picked by Adam.
She didn’t want the things Adam picked for his wife to be damaged.
