Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise by Ava Green

Chapter 396

Many fresh ingredients appeared on the table like magic, from beef and mutton to seafood then to lively lobsters. Lumma joked,
“Do you raise lobsters on the farm?”
Keeley replied, “There are no lobsters here, but it is close to the sea. If you want, we can drive directly to the seaside market to
buy.”
As an epicure, Lumma was eager to stay here forever, “Keeley, the food tastes so delicious that I don’t want to leave.” Keeley put
vegetables in Lumma’s bowl again, “You can come and play whenever you are free.”
Lumma questioned, “Are you planning to live here for a long time? Does your farmer treat you well? Is your salary high? Do you
still have money to spend?”
Keeley smiled, “Lumma, to be honest, this farm is mine.”
“Your farm?” Lumma asked, astonished.
Keeley nodded, “My father send the farm to me as a gift when I was born, which has been in trust and is not in the Wilson family
property, and thus it was not found out when the Wilson family went bankrupt. Someone has helped me with the farm all these
years and made a good profit. Although the profits are not huge, it is enough to live on for me, so don’t worry about me.”
Lumma was indeed worried about what would happen if Keeley ran out of money, and she specially prepared a sum of money
for Keeley to use, but luckily, it turned out that she was just worrying about it.
However poor the Wilson family was, what Keeley had was something Lumma could never have.
They ate the hot pot while chatting.
After a while, Keeley finally asked the question puzzling her, “Lumma, with your help I left Hanton City to Red Pine City without
saying goodbye. George couldn’t find me. Did he trouble you?”
Speaking of George, Lumma thought the high–quality fatty meat tasted bland and insipid, “No, George is afraid of Mr. Hills and
daren’t do anything to me.”
Keeley, “Oh well, that is better...”
Lumma, “Keeley...”

Keeley, “Huh?”
Lumma, “Just in case, I said just in case, in case George finds you, you...‘
Before Lumma finished speaking, Keeley’s face turned pale in an instant, “Lumma, does George know that I’m here?”
“Yes! George knew it a long time ago!” Lumma wanted to tell the truth to Keeley who was kept in the dark, but she couldn’t get it
through speaking.
As Adam said, as long as Keeley didn’t know that George has found her long ago, Keeley could feel comfortable and live the life
she wanted freely.
Keeley finally got rid of George, and Lumma didn’t want to remind her of the pain, and thus Lumma lied, “Keeley, don’t be afraid,
I said just in case. Don’t worry, George is unable to exert his power here.”
“You’re right...” Keeley took a deep breath. “If he knew where I was, he would have sent someone to take me back long ago.
How could he let me live freely outside?”
