Married to the Boss: A Love in Disguise by Ava Green

Chapter 346

Adam observed her expression carefully, “You don’t seem to like it?”
If the top chef in Preivlille who prepared this foie gras himself knew that the evaluation he received for his cooking was just “not
bad,” he would probably be so angry that he couldn’t sleep all night.
“I really like it.” Lumma looked at the plate of foie gras on the table, the presentation was more appealing than the food itself. “Mr.
Hills, can I feed my phone first?”
Adam didn’t enjoy browsing the internet while eating, nor did he have the habit of taking photos of his food, so he naturally didn’t
understand what she meant. “What did you say?”
Lumma awkwardly smiled, “Can I take a photo before eating?”
Adam spoke softly, “You can do whatever you want, do it with an open heart, you don’t need my permission for everything.”
“Mr. Hills, you’re really good to your subordinates!” Lumma immediately picked up her phone, found a good angle, and took two
photos, not forgetting to apply filters to the pictures.
“Mr. Hills, Ms. Louis, should I open the red wine for you now?” A staff member brought a bottle of red wine to accompany them.
At the mention of wine, Lumma felt a bit worried. One, she was concerned that
Adam would go crazy after drinking too much, and two, she was worried about
his stomach. However, she didn’t stop it yet, Adam spoke before her, “We’re not drinking tonight.”
He then asked Lumma, “Lumma, what would you like to drink?”
To be honest, Lumma wanted to enjoy the wine alone. Eating a French meal with red wine was the proper way, any other drink
would not do justice to such a luxurious French meal. But since Adam wasn’t drinking, as his assistant, she couldn’t either.
She reluctantly said, “If there’s milk available, could you please get me a glass of milk?”
Adam replied, “Alright, please bring us two glasses of milk.”
After the staff member left, Adam asked Lumma again, “Why didn’t you ask me why I’m not drinking?”
Lumma replied, “You must have taken Laura’s advice to heart. Drinking less is good for the stomach.”

Adam shook his head, “You guessed wrong. The real reason is that I promised Lucas that I wouldn’t drink when I’m with you.”
Lumma suddenly felt a little guilty, “Did you ask him why he doesn’t want you to drink?”
Adam replied, “He didn’t say, so I didn’t ask.”
Lumma felt relieved, “Your relationship seems really good. He can still have control over you.”
Adam nodded, “Yes, it’s good. I listen to what he says, and he listens to what I say. If you have any opinions that he doesn’t
listen to, you can let me know, and I promise to make sure he listens to you.”
“Oh...” Adam’s words were more effective with Lucas, which proved that their brotherly bond was stronger than her marital bond
with Lucas. This realization suddenly made her feel uneasy
