I’m not just going to purchase this manor today. I have to triumph over this woman too. There’s no hore I’m going to be mocked if I lose today.

Before Zavier could ask for instructions. Matthias spoke in a gruff voice. “One billion.”

“One billion.”

“One billion?” Kaylee panicked. “Ms. Ainsworth, they’ve offered one billion! Should we raise our bid

Sienna absolutely detested Matthias

A billion was far beyond her budget. Yet, it was such a rare occasion for this, manor to be up for auction, and she was reluctant to give up so easily

No one in Melanie’s family was still alive now, and Sienna really wanted to get the ancestral home back for her.

However, she was a businesswoman, and it was frustrating for her to engage in such a loss–making deal.

Matthias was secretly pleased when Sienna stopped raising the price, assuming that she was defeated by him.

I’m not just going to acquire the manor soday. I’m also going to make Stenna admit absolute defeat!

Sienna was in a dilemma when suddenly, someone from the private room on her left raised the paddle.

“Two billion.”

As soon as that price was announced, the crowd erupted.

Two billion? Which spoon is so audacious?

Matthias was completely struck dumb. His smug expression froze on his face when his perfect plan was thwarted.

Two billion for a manor! Has this guy lost his mind? How am I supposed to do this? How am I going a micr Sienna admit defect? Who is this person?

He had no idea when such a formidable big shot existed in Fairlake. How dare he run my plan and embarre’s me!

Marthias was so infuriated that he clenched his jaw tightly.

Sienna was caught off guard too. Moments later, she was overjoyed.

There’s no need for me to be conflicted anymore, and Matthias can just give up too

As expected, Matthias stopped bidding, and the manor was finally sold for a price of twenty billion.

Hiding her inner pleasure, Sienna instructed Kaylee, “After the auction ends, find out who the big shot next door is. I’ll have to figure out a way to reclaim the house when I have a chance in the

future.

Kaylee also let out a sigh of relief. “Got it.”

Sienna wasn’t interested in the final item, and the auction ended after all the items were presented.

Just as she was about to leave, the large screen suddenly displayed another item.

All the bidders‘ steps came to a halt.

According to the host, the final item up for auction was a last–minute addition, part of a personal collection.

It was an ordinary wood sculpture shaped like a rabbit.

The rabbit sculpture appeared endearingly whimsical, and the material used to sculpt it seemed to be of the highest quality.

However, this item was clearly not an antique, and the craftsmanship was only mediocre at best. The crowd was buzzing with discussion, completely baffled as to what the auction house was trying to achieve with this stunt.

The opening bid was surprisingly one million.

Only someone delusional would spend a million on something that couldn’t even be considered a piece of handicraft.

Sienna’s gaze lingered on the big screen for a long time.

That rabbit seemed oddly familiar to her, but she simply couldn’t recall where she had seen it before.

Three minutes had passed, yet no one raised the paddle.

Just as the host was about to announce the item as unsold, Kaylee raised the bidding paddle..

“One million.”

Seeing that someone was actually bidding on such a shabby item, the host quickly brought down the hammer.

In the private room on the left, the man’s thin l*ps curved into a faint smile.

Chapter 10 Never Had Feelings

Sienna hurriedly left after the auction ended, hoping to catch the person who bought the manor.

Unfortunately, she was too late. The private room was already empty, and all she saw as she rushed out was a tall figure disappearing around the corner.

Just as she was about to catch up. Matthias emerged from the private room on the other side.

“Sienna,” Matthias grabbed her. “Why did you have to compete with me for the manor? Are you deliberately trying to annoy me?”

“Compete with you? That house is my mother’s ancestral home. You’re the one taking it away from me!” Sienna had no patience for his nonsense, and her expression showed her annoyance. “Let go.”

“Your mother’s ancestral home?”

Matthias was taken aback by her response. Only then did he remember Sienna mentioning it before, but he didn’t pay much attention at the time.

Surprisingly, it was the same manor that caused a competition between them, but it ended up in the hands of someone else.

“I didn’t know it was your mother’s ancestral home. I wasn’t trying to compete with you. I had my own reasons for buying that house, he explained.

So this guy is here for the manor too. I wonder what the Johanson family wants with it..

Sienna was relieved that the manor was bought by someone else..

“I’d rather have the manor in the hands of strangers than in yours,” she remarked.

If it ended up with Matthias, she would have to engage in an endless and irritating competition. with him, but if it fell into the hands of a stranger, she could simply spend money and time trying to reclaim it.

That’s going to be difficult.

However, there was no need for her to chase after the buyer of the manor anymore since Matthias got in her way. That person was long gone.

Sienna glanced at her wrist, which was still held by Matthias, and sneered coldly. “Mr. Johanson, we’re divorced now. If you continue to hold onto me, I might think you still have feelings for me.”

She paused, thought for a moment, and continued, “Wait. You never had feelings for me, so this can be considered blatant S**ual harassment.”

Only then did Matthias realize that he was still holding onto Sienna’s wrist.
