Sienna felt exhausted from Melanie’s constant nagging. She was also a bit confused.
“The legendary Callan has returned? Have I met him before?”
Melanie was unsure as well. “Probably? But it’s been quite a few years since your grandmother and I last saw Callan.”
Upon hearing this, Sienna became anxious. “I don’t remember him. Can I not go? I don’t want to see anyone from the Johanson family right now.”
Melanie tried to coax her. “Be good, Enna. Our family must show respect to Old Mr. Moore. Don’t you know how well he treats you? Now that his beloved youngest son has returned, he’s overjoyed. Let’s not dampen his spirits. Be a good girl.”
The Moore family was the most prominent family in Fairlake. Their close relationship with the Ainsworth family was only established in recent years. When Sienna’s father was alive, the two families were merely acquaintances.
The cordial relationship between the two families was not solely due to Sienna’s marriage to Matthias. Before their marriage, Sienna had a chance encounter with Kennedy on the streets. She had forcefully sent the elderly man, who had sneaked out of the hospital, back. That saved his
life.
Hence, a bond was formed between the old man and the young lady. Later, when Sienna’s father passed away, it was Kennedy who supported the three women of the Ainsworth family. He refused to let the collateral branch take away even a fraction of the Ainsworth family’s property.
Later on, as Sienna developed feelings for Matthias, Kennedy managed to persuade the Johanson family and arranged their marriage.
Therefore, even though she had divorced Matthias, Sienna still needed to show respect to Kennedy.
However, she didn’t have any impression of this man from the Moore family. All she knew was that his name was Callan Moore, and that he was quite an impressive character.
According to Stephanie, her uncle Callan was the pride of the Moore family.
“I’ll go.”
In a daze, Sienna thought that she would just appear in front of Kennedy. As for the others, they could do as they pleased.
The next day, Sienna arrived at the entrance of the Moore residence precisely on time.
As a guest, it was expected that she would arrive punctually. Unexpectedly, Stephanie also came in from outside.

“You…”
Stephanie pulled her over the moment Sienna opened her mouth.
“Babe, promise me you’ll cover for me later. Just say that we’ve been together these past few days, okay?”
Sienna was truly exasperated with her. “Haven’t you gone home to meet your uncle?”
“Exactly.” Stephanie flicked her long hair. “I was busy being seduced by beauty and enjoying my time, aren’t I? As soon as I received the call yesterday, I immediately left my handsome man and rushed back from Miralaca.
Sienna was left speechless. Stephanie had just gotten a new boyfriend. They were in their honeymoon phase now, so she would bring her boyfriend everywhere to have fun.
Stephanie was puzzled. “Uncle Callan hasn’t been home for many years. Grandpa always says that he misses Uncle Callan every year on his birthday. Grandpa tried everything to get him to return, but nothing ever worked. I wonder why he suddenly came back now, even though there’s no special occasion.”
“Perhaps he had something to attend to, guessed Sienna.
The yard was already teeming with people. After all, the Moore family was huge.
Kennedy had two other siblings, each of whom had several children of their own. These family members were scattered all over the world. Stephanie had not seen quite a few of the cousins for many years, let alone Sienna.
With all the in–laws included, the place was filled with people. It was like a grand gathering was happening.
The people from the Johanson family had also arrived. Loretta held onto the arm of Sienna’s former mother–in–law. They seemed as close as mother and daughter.
This was a scene that Sienna wouldn’t have dared to dream of in the past.
Janette disliked her greatly, thinking that since her family lacked a reliable man, they would be a burden to Matthias. Hence, when Janette said that she wanted to find a powerful natal family for Matthias, she actually had her sights set on Loretta as her future daughter–in–law.
The reason was that Loretta was well–behaved, sensible, and knew how to please people.
Meanwhile, Sienna was assertive and domineering. At first glance, she seemed like the type of daughter–in–law who would dare to talk back to her mother–in–law.
Stephanie followed her gaze and couldn’t help but laugh.
“Your former mother–in–law is quite interesting. She actually brought this woman along. She’s not even afraid of being scolded by Grandpa.”

Sienna said with a smile. “Sooner or later, we’ll all be family. We’re getting to know each other earlier.
Stephanie immediately made a face of disgust. “I certainly don’t want a pretentious woman as my sister–in–law. It would be a disgrace.”
Upon spotting Sienna, Loretta immediately came over to greet her.
“Sienna!” She smiled sweetly, as if she and Sienna were best friends. “You’ve finally arrived…
Sienna gave a cold, detached laugh.
Loretta found herself in an awkward position. Her intention in greeting Sienna was to establish her dominance. Instead, she ended up having a good relationship with Sienna.
Sienna was not a fool. Not giving Loretta any chance to take advantage of her, she turned around and left.
When Loretta saw Sienna leaving despite having spotted her, she blushed./
She knew that people around her were laughing at her expense, with some bursting out into laughter.
“Hah! Even after stealing someone else’s man she’s still expecting the person to not mind it Indeed, most mistresses think alike. What a weirdo!”
“Sienna’s just too kind–hearted. How could she let a woman like that get her way? If Manhias really married that woman, wouldn’t it be disgusting to even share a meal at the same cable in the
future:”
The gossip drilled into Loretta’s ears, leaving her extremely irritated. With reddened eyes, she hurriedly left.
