Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman’s Sinner Wife

Chapter 2075

When Madeline and Fabian heard the sound, they looked up at the same time.
Numerous tall men wearing special equipment surrounded Carter.
As for Carter, he seemed to know these people, so he was not particularly surprised, and instead, he just sneered.
“You found me.“ He raised his eyes contemptuously. When he was about to resist, a familiar voice came from behind the group
of people.
“They didn’t find you. I told them that you are here.“
As the voice fell away, Shirley appeared in Carter’s line of sight.
She slowly approached Carter as her frail body sat in the wheelchair.
However, Shirley was surprised to see Madeline and Fabian. She did not know that Madeline would be here. Although she did
not know Fabian, she knew that this was Lillian’s support in F Country.
Carter looked at Shirley who was gradually approaching him, and there was self-mockery in his eyes.
“Did you really tell them that I’m here?“
Seeing that Carter did not seem to believe it, Shirley smiled and replied confidently, “Of course, I told them. How would they be
able to trace you from St.
Piaf otherwise?“
When Shirley answered affirmatively, Carter laughed and then closed his eyes. When he opened his eyes again, his face was
already horribly gloomy.
“Do you really hate me so much that you can’t wait for me to die?“ Carter asked Shirley as he looked into Shirley’s indifferent
eyes.
Shirley looked coldly at the face which she had admired for many years, and her vision gradually blurred.
“You still have time to turn back now.“
“Turn back?“ Carter repeated these two words with a chuckle.

He looked at the group of people surrounding him, and his smile became even more sarcastic.
“How do you expect me to turn back? Can I start everything again if I were to turn back? If I turned back, would I still be the
viscount of St. Piaf
everyone respects? Would I still see the woman who loved me so much when I turn back?“
Carter asked a series of rhetorical questions as he gradually lost control of his emotions.
Shirley’s heart trembled, and she firmly squeezed the armrests on both sides of the wheelchair, forcing herself to calm down.
When she was about to persuade Carter again, she heard him laugh again.
“You want to arrest me, don’t you? You want to take me back to St. Piaf to punish me, don’t you? Okay, come on.“
Carter stretched out his arms, seemingly giving up in resisting. However, when the people who were about to arrest Carter put
down their guard, Carter suddenly stepped forward and grabbed Shirley’s neck.
His move surprised everyone present.
Shirley had not expected Carter to behave like this either.
Had he been driven so desperate that even if he would die, he would drag her with him too?
Shirley thought, and her heart raced, but she did not want to resist in any way.
If he truly wanted to do this, she would be willing. “Carter, what are you doing? Do you want to kill your woman?“ Madeline
hurriedly asked.
Carter lowered his gaze disapprovingly and looked at the unresponsive Shirley. “My woman? Heh, hehe...“
Carter laughed mockingly, but the corners of his eyes turned wet involuntarily.
“My woman called these people to arrest me.“ His sarcastic voice lingered in Shirley’s ears.
“Shirley, is this the outcome you want? You must really want me to make amends to your brother, don’t you? It seems that today
is a good opportunity.“

After saying that, Carter increased the force of his palm slightly.
When the armed police sent to arrest Carter saw this, they raised their guns at him.
“Carter, let go of the hostage.”
“Hostage?” Carter raised his arrogant cold eyes disapprovingly. “She’s not a hostage. She’s just a fool who is willing to die with
me.” He said as he looked at Shirley who did not resist. The side of her face that was intact looked so beautiful in his blurred
vision.
