Married by Mistake: Mr. Whitman’s Sinner Wife

Chapter 2019

Dumbfounded, Shirley stared at what Carter was doing in disbelief.
‘Had he been following that car just to abduct that little girl?
‘But who was that little girl?’
During her moment of shock, Shirley saw Carter quickly starting the car to drive away.
At that moment, Fabian quickly ran out of the dessert shop.
He looked anxious, and his eyes were filled with worry.
Shirley did not know Fabian, but she could see how uneasy and sick with worry he was at the moment.
“Driver, please start driving, ” Shirley told the driver who was looking at his phone.
The driver looked out of the window and noticed the car just now was gone.
“Miss, where would you like to go now? Are we going to follow the car just now?” the driver asked politely.
Shirley shook his head. “No need. I saw the person in the car and he’s not my friend. I made a mistake. Please take me back to
where you picked me up. ”
“Alright, ” the driver answered and started the car quickly.
Shirley was very distracted on the way back. ‘So, was this why Carter came to F Country?
‘Who was that little girl? She looked a little familiar.
‘Why was Carter taking action against such a young child?’
On the other side, after putting Lillian in the car, Carter drove back to the apartment.
He forcefully carried Lillian who refused to get out of the car and then quickly walked upstairs.
What pleased Carter was that Lillian, being mute, would not make a lot of noise to alert the neighbors.
However, when Carter went back to the apartment, he did not see Shirley anywhere.

He looked all over the apartment, yet he still did not see her.
Where would Shirley go in her state?
Carter started to feel worried. He placed Lillian on a random spot on the ground and quickly turned around to walk to the door,
intending to go downstairs to look for Shirley nearby.
However, coincidentally, the moment he opened the door, he saw Shirley who was about to open the door to enter.
Not noticing Shirley’s expression at this moment, Carter walked over and immediately pushed Shirley back into the house.
“Where did you go? Why are you running around when you’re in this state? What will you do if something happens to you?”
Carter’s questions came one after another, but one could hear his concern for Shirley in his voice.
Shirley did not answer Carter. Her eyes were locked on Lillian who was silently standing next to the coffee table.
“Shirley, I’m talking to...”
“Who is that little girl? Why did you abduct her?” Shirley asked bluntly.
Carter, who had not expected Shirley to ask that, was momentarily stunned. At a loss, he glanced at Lillian.
The child was standing under the window where the warm sunlight, like a layer of golden veil, landed on her flawless and supple
doll-like face.
Lillian blinked her clear, pristine, big eyes and then slowly walked toward Shirley.
She looked at Shirley, who was in the wheelchair, and then her little eyebrows furrowed, her gaze seemingly downcast.
The little girl raised her hand and looked at Shirley carefully, then she pointed in the direction of the door.
Shirley immediately understood, but she was also looking at Lillian in disbelief.
‘This little girl can’t speak?’
