Serenity knew that her in-laws, and even her sister and aunts, were looking forward to her getting pregnant soon.
“Every medicine has some side effects. It might harm instead of heal one’s body sometimes. Anyway, we can’t just take any
medication before seeing the doctor or conducting a checkup.”
Liam smiled sheepishly. “We know, Zack. I told your mom that medicine can’t be taken carelessly. Your mom wasn’t planning on
having Serenity eat the medicine stated on the prescription too. Your grandma gave this to her, and she couldn’t refuse your
grandma’s kindness. Therefore, she had no choice but to bring the prescription back.”
Tania was worried her son would blame her mother. She quickly defended her mother, saying, “Zack, we weren’t aware of your
and Serenity’s plans. Don’t blame your grandma. She’s just old and has many worries.
“You’re her favorite grandchild. She keeps nagging about wanting a great-grandchild.”
Next, Tania told her daughter-in-law, “Seren, I don’t mean to urge you to have a baby. I said you and Zachary can try for a child
whenever you want. After all, you two are young and have only been married for a year. The most important thing now is to
prepare for your wedding.”
“I know, Mom,” Serenity replied.
Tania winked at her. She was hinting at Serenity to persuade Zachary.
Did she not see that Zachary was scolding his parents like children?
Serenity got her mother-in-law’s hint. She tugged on Zachary and said softly, “Babe, they never told me to get the medicine
anyway. Don’t be angry anymore. Grandma was just worried. That’s how old people are.
“Don’t be angry, okay? Callum and Camryn are here too. You’ll scare Camryn if you keep being furious.”
Camryn simply smiled and did not say a word.
“Alright. Don’t be mad anymore. It’s almost time to eat. Let’s dig in.”
Tania added, “That’s right. The food is ready. Let’s have our meal first. Callum, Camryn, go ahead.”
Although Zachary did not fly into a rage, his words were tinged with reproach. After letting out his anger, his expression calmed.
He gave a faint hum as a reply.

Serenity quickly held his arm and pulled him to the dining area.
Callum also helped his fiancée up and walked to the dining area.
Only Tania and Liam were left in the living room.
They exchanged glances in silence.
Liam whispered, “I told you not to take the prescription out. It was fortunate that you didn’t hand it to Serenity directly. Otherwise,
Zack would’ve lost his temper.”
“My mom worries too much. I told her not to be concerned about Zachary and Serenity. The psychic said there would be good
news when autumn came. He even mentioned that they’ll have sons and daughters in the future.”
Tania took some tissues to wipe her sweat. She said, “The AC is turned on, but I’m sweating. I was too startled by your son.”
“I broke out in a cold sweat too.”
Liam positioned his face closer to have his wife wipe his sweat.
The couple was all talk as they had no guts. They turned cowardly even before their son lost his temper.
They were utterly terrified.
“You didn’t even inform me before telling the lie. We wouldn’t have been exposed if we had discussed it beforehand.”
Liam said, “I didn’t expect the prescription to be found even after it was hidden under the table. Our son is so capable that even I,
his father, admit defeat.”
“Mom did say Zack was more capable than you. If not, she wouldn’t have allowed Zack to take over so soon and told you to
retire.”
Tania’s husband was not as capable as her eldest son.
That was a fact.
