Married at First Sight

After Callum led Camryn downstairs, they approached their brother and sister-in-law to greet them.
Camryn greeted them following Callum’s own greeting.
They both sat opposite Zachary and Serenity.
Serenity asked with concern, “Camryn, are you okay?”
“It's nothing major, just a bit of pain in the back of my neck. Thanks for saving me, Serenity.”
Camryn expressed her gratitude to Serenity.
Serenity replied, “We are all family, there’s no need to be so formal. However, from now on, you should have bodyguards with
you for added security. That way, we can all feel more at ease. It was fortunate that I happened to encounter you and rescued
you today. Otherwise, the consequences could have been unimaginable.”
Camryn was also a bit frightened after the fact. She said, “Just now, Callum told me the same thing. From now on, I’ll let the
bodyguards be by my side at all times.”
If she hadn’t taken over the Newman family business, she wouldn’t have needed bodyguards following her. Now though, she had
become a thorn in the eyes of her two aunts. She suspected that they were behind the incident earlier today.
When it came to safety, she no longer insisted on her own way and accepted Callum’s arrangements to have the bodyguards
openly follow her instead of protecting her in the shadows.
“That’s good. In the beginning, you may find it uncomfortable to have bodyguards around, but you’ll get used to it.”
Serenity herself was not accustomed to having bodyguards following her before.
She always felt like her every move was being controlled by her husband.
As time passed, she had gotten used to it.
This was also because Zachary had assured her that the bodyguards were only responsible for her safety and would not report
anything to him without her consent.
With this promise from Zachary, Serenity got accustomed to it.

“Do you have any suspicions about who might be behind this incident?” Zachary asked in a low voice.
Camryn replied, “Other than my two aunts, I can’t think of anyone else.”
Zachary nodded and said to his brother, “Callum, if you need any help, let us know. If you don’t say anything, I will assume that
you can handle it yourself.”
“I can handle this matter, Zack. If I really need help, I will ask for it.”
Being brothers in the same family, Callum acted very casually with his older brother.
However, he would not rely on his older brother for everything.
After all, Zachary was also very busy.
Moreover, Camryn was his woman, and it was his responsibility to protect her.
Camryn was deeply moved listening to the conversation between the two brothers.
She was touched by Callum’s feelings for her.
What had she done to deserve Callum’s genuine affection?
The York family was so prestigious and out of her league. Those noble ladies could not even squeeze their way into the family.
Was there really no one among those elites more outstanding than her?
Camryn was insignificant academically, and she was blind to boot. However, Callum did not look down on her, instead, he moved
her by being genuine toward her. This made her accept his feelings toward her. Although it all started from Grandma May’s plan,
after spending some time together, Callum genuinely fell head over heels for her.
This was her fortune.
Her life could not be considered lucky because she lost her father at a young age. Her biological mother also treated her poorly,
and she lived a life worse than a servant’s.
She was also quite lucky because she met Callum.

With Callum around, even if the sky fell, she did not have to worry about it crashing on her.
“Serenity and I will return to the manor soon, and we’ll spend the weekend there. Do the both of you want to join us?” Zachary
asked the both of them.
Callum faced Camryn and asked gently, “Camryn, do you want to spend the weekend at York Manor?”
“Wherever you are, I’ll follow.”
Callum smiled. “It’s settled then. We’ll crash at York Manor with Zack and Serenity for the weekend.”
He then said to Zachary, “Zack, announce in the family group that those in Wiltspoon should come to the manor for the weekend.
Us brothers can also have a gathering.”
