Magic Doctor CEO Lady's Humble Husband (Fade Chen)

Chapter 3326

"What else?" Pascal asked.

Fade's gaze finally fell on the center of the tomb where an enormous maroon coffin lay.

Fade gave an involuntary shiver the moment he noticed the coffin. It was as if the cold and sticky feeling he felt all originated from that very coffin.

He steadied himself and said, "And a coffin."

"A coffin!"

Amman and the others were struck dumb upon hearing this.

The nine people finally entered the room after a brief discussion.

The moment they set foot into the room, their eyes lit up as they slowly took in the treasures that filled the tomb.

Some of them couldn't stop themselves and almost grabbed some treasures.

However, Pascal gave a cold snort. He unleashed some of his positive energy and spoke in a rather low voice, "We've agreed on this earlier. We'll find and collect the treasures together. Then, we'll split them up into nine shares once we're outside." "If I catch anyone stashing some extras for themselves, don't come begging for mercy later. We'll kill you on the spot."

Amman also spoke up, "There's no need to rush. The things here, they're all ours."

"Of course, these items outside are just ordinary grave goods. The real good stuff is in the coffin."

Upon hearing Amman and Pascal's words, the excited masters exchanged glances and stopped what they were doing. They unanimously walked towards the coffin in the middle of the tomb.

Amman stopped dead in his tracks when he was about five meters away from the coffin. His eyebrows furrowed into a frown and he said, "The chilliness and coldness in this tomb all originate from this coffin." Pascal nodded, "Yes, you're probably right.

The person in the coffin must've been an outstanding master. Otherwise, he wouldn't have such a terrifying aura after death."

Everyone else nodded. Desire and alert filled their faces.

Eventually, their gazes all fell on Fade.

Amman was naturally uncivil towards Fade. He ordered, "Open the coffin, brat."

At that moment, Fade wasn't even close to the coffin. However, he still felt the wet and frigid air intruding his body.

It made his body quiver. He might not be able to hold on any longer.

Despite that, Amman remained indifferent. He snapped when Fade was unwilling to move, "Hurry up! The other option you have now is death."

Fade understood that he had no other choice. Thus, he gritted his teeth and held back the chilliness in his body as he paced towards the coffin.

The closer Fade got to the coffin, the heavier his steps became. All the muscles in his body even started shivering due to the chilliness in the air. Behind him, Amman, Pascal and the others were apathetic. They only kept urging and threatening him.

"Keep going, move faster."

Fade gnashed his teeth and dragged his feet to the coffin.

Fade had observed the coffin from afar earlier. Now that he was closer to it, Fade realized just how abnormally large that coffin was.

It was about ten meters long and five or six meters wide.

The whole coffin was made of a kind of hefty maroon-colored wood.

Due to the passage of time, fine cracks had appeared on the wood.

The damp and chilly air was released through these cracks.

Standing next to the coffin, Fade clenched his teeth together and reached out his hand to push the lid off the coffin.

The problem was, the coffin lid was so heavy it didn't even budge.

Fade tried again with a much more powerful force.

After many attempts, the heavy lid finally shifted a little. However, Fade had exhausted most of his strength.

As the coffin lid shifted slightly, a gap had opened up. The bone-chilling air broke out and smacked Fade in the face.

The chilly air from the coffin's cracks already had Fade on the edge of collapse.

Now, the air burst straight out from the coffin. It was even more fearsome and horrible.

Fade felt someone pour a freezing bucket of ice water on his brain. It sent chills up his spine and made his blood run cold. In an instant, he lost consciousness and crumpled to the ground. "What's the matter, brat?"

Amman and Pascal shouted. However, they received no response from Fade.

The pair then tried activating their soul energies in Fade's spiritual consciousness. Despite that, Fade remained unresponsive.

"His divine soul didn't even react. The brat, is he dead?"

"Perhaps he's just acting! It might simply be another trick up his sleeve."

"Hmph, all nine of us are venerable masters. There's no need for us to be scared of some little brat," a robust master snorted, "I understand that most of you are too timid. I'll do it, then," he said as he approached the coffin. "This chilliness..." As he felt the horrible chill radiating from the coffin, the robust master activated his positive energy speedily to protect his body. Then, he exerted a gust of force that blew the lid off the coffin. Instantly, a stream of cold white fog spewed out.

This made the robust venerable master lose his balance. He stumbled and almost tripped over.

As he steadied himself, his expression was filled with apparent surprise and eagerness as he murmured, "Good stuff. This is really good stuff"

As he spoke, he couldn't help reaching out his hand to grab the treasures in the coffin.

The other venerable masters rushed forward whilst shouting.

"Master Lei, what have you discovered?"

"Master Lei, please be careful. Don't act rashly."

The others approached the coffin speedily. As they took a peek inside the coffin, their eyes instantly lit up. The enormous coffin was filled with all sorts of treasures.

Jades, seals, talismans, emblems, weapons, the coffin contained almost all sorts of resources for cultivation.

On top of that, the items in the coffin were obviously much more valuable than the grave goods in the tomb. Every item in the coffin was no less than the second grade of the Earth Level.

get

Under normal circumstances, venerable masters in a city like South Van City only possessed ninth-grade Human Level items. would take them a remarkably great effort if they wish to obtain Earth

Level treasures such as these.

For instance, venerable masters such as Amman and Pascal only owned two first-grade Earth Level treasures.

The first treasure was a family

heirloom. The second one, on the

other hand, cost them a great amount of money and resources. took them a fortune to invite a craftsman from the Great Sang Domain to create the treasure. Even with all the resources ready, it still took the craftsman a whole decade to perfect the treasure.

These items were considered the family heirloom of the Gu and Loh families. They were invaluable and irreplaceable.

However, right then, if they randomly

fished out an item from the coffin, it

would at least be at the second

grade of the Earth Level. There were even third-grade and fourth-grade Earth Level treasures.

The treasures in this coffin were even more valuable than the entire South Van City.

It was no wonder that Omer Lei, the first venerable master to discover these treasures, was not able to control himself.

After all, even Pascal and Amman couldn't resist the temptation. They involuntarily reached out their hands and picked up the treasures in the coffin.

However, just as the nine venerable masters were stashing the treasures in the coffin for themselves...

Pascal suddenly paused and roared, "Stop!"

"What's the matter, Pascal?" Someone asked. Despite that, his hands didn't even stop for a second. He continued grabbing as many treasures as he could. Pascal's expression changed as his voice became louder, "Everyone stop. There's still something inside."

The others couldn't help but shudder upon hearing Pascal's words.

"Pascal, what...what do you mean? What else is inside?" Someone asked.

Pascal pried open the pile of treasures with shaky hands, revealing a black-colored board made of wood.

"What is this? Is this the base? I can't be, it's too shallow."

"This is no ordinary wooden board!"

At that moment, a thought seemed to pass Amman's mind. He began prying open the huge pile of precious items together with Pascal.

As the layers and layers of treasures were removed, the mysterious item hidden inside was finally revealed.

All nine venerable masters couldn't help but gasp upon seeing it.

There was another coffin in the huge coffin loaded with treasures.

The coffin inside was similar to the larger coffin. It was just smaller in size.

The smaller coffin was placed in the larger coffin. However, it was buried out of sight in layers of precious treasures.

Therefore, the enthusiastic venerable masters did not discover the smaller coffin in the first place.

"What, what is this? Why is there another coffin in the coffin?"

"The smaller coffin seems to be the origin of the chilly air. Perhaps it is the true center of the tomb?"

Amid their discussion, an elder with a long beard stood out and paced around the coffin as he spoke.

"If I'm not mistaken, the big coffin outside is a sarcophagus."

"A sarcophagus? Master Pai, what is that?" Someone inquired.

Codey Pai stroked his long beard elegantly as he explained, "Look at this coffin, it is made up of two cases, a larger case and a smaller one."

"The larger case is called a sarcophagus. In ancient times, it is typically used by aristocratic families to store the smaller case, which is called a casket."

"The deceased is usually placed in the casket. The space between the casket and the sarcophagus will be filled with grave goods. However, beloved items of the deceased are usually put in the casket."

All the other venerable masters instantly understood Codey's insinuation. Their gazes fell on the casket, their eyes were burning with greed.

The grave goods outside were scarce enough, after all.

If what Codey said was correct, if the real treasures were in the casket, then how invaluable would they be?

Everyone couldn't wait to find out.

"According to Master Pai, the real good stuff is in the casket. Quickly, let's open it!"

"That's right. I wonder if we'll discover Heaven Level treasures inside?"

"Heaven Level items seem quite impossible. I'll be satisfied if the items are above the seventh grade of the Earth Level."

Several masters were bouncing off the walls. They couldn't wait to open the casket.

However, a pale- faced and emaciated venerable master suddenly stood out and spoke, "Everyone, please wait a moment." "Master Ghosty, what is it?" The others looked over.
