Chapter 2135
Hannah's reminder sounded abnormally serious and full of concern. Madeline subconsciously looked at the charming eyes in the rearview mirror. Then, she said with a smile, "This is your brother-in-law. He's very considerate and caring toward me. He won't bully me."
"You can never know what he's thinking. Sis, don't be fooled by a person's appearance, " Hannah reminded her again solemnly.
Madeline responded with a smile, "I know, I'll be careful."
Upon hearing Madeline's answer, Hannah seemed very satisfied and happy.
She squeezed Madeline's hand and leaned her head on Madeline's shoulder happily. "Sis."
When she heard Hannah calling her 'Sis', Madeline had mixed feelings.
Not long after, the car stopped in the parking garage of Old Whitman Manor.
Jeremy got out of the car first and helped Madeline open the door.
Madeline was about to get out of the car when Hannah looked at Jeremy in vigilance.
"Sis, walk with me. I don't like this man, "Hannah said as she opened the car door on her side. She insisted on pulling Madeline out of the car with her.
Madeline glanced at Jeremy and got out of the car without saying anything.
It was lunchtime. Karen was carrying her grandson and was about to feed him when suddenly she saw Madeline and Jeremy coming back home.
Therefore, she walked over curiously. "Why are you both back? Are you free this afternoon?"
As Karen was asking them, she suddenly saw Hannah who was next to Madeline. "Why is this woman here too? Why did you let her come in? What's going on?" Karen asked in confusion before summoning a servant to take the little boy in her arms away.
"Eveline, did you two bring her in?"
"I asked Eveline to bring her sister back home," Jeremy parted her lips and explained.
Karen was stunned when she heard that. "W-What?
Sister?"
"That's right." Jeremy's tone was affirmative. Then, he ordered the servant, "Go prepare a guest room. She'll stay here for now."
"..." After Karen was stunned for a few seconds, she quickly stopped the servant. "No! How can you let this woman stay in our house? Jeremy, are you insane?"
Karen did not understand why Jeremy was doing this. She walked in front of Madeline and did not avoid Hannah at all.
"Eveline, have you become insane like Jeremy too? Why did you bring this person home?"
Madeline looked at Hannah, whose expression had changed. She said with a smile.
"Mom, she's so sick she doesn't know who she is. Plus, she doesn't have a place to go, so let's just allow her to stay here for the time being."
"I'm not sick. I'm not!" Hannah suddenly yelled and explained herself, "Sis, I'm not sick."
"Yeah, you're not. You just need to rest," Madeline answered.
Karen peered at Hannah in disgust. "If you're not sick, you should leave. Why are you clinging to Eveline? She's not your sister."
"What nonsense are you talking about?" Hannah's emotions were immediately heightened after she was triggered by what Karen said. "None of you are good people! Sis, I don't want to stay here! I want to go home! "
