Chapter 2134
Hannah was freezing. She squatted in front of the entrance and curled into a ball as she shivered.
When Jeremy was about to get out of the car, he spotted Madeline walking out.
Madeline saw Jeremy's car immediately. When she was walking over, she saw Hannah squatting by the entrance from the corners of her eyes.
Hannah was here again.
She was like a ghost that was always lingering around her.
Madeline had already felt that something was not right when Hannah kept appearing in front of her so frequently.
When she was about to ignore Hannah and ask the security guard from the building to deal with her, Jeremy got out of the car and walked toward her.
She thought Jeremy was walking toward her but when he came over, he grabbed her hand and led her in front of Hannah. Hannah's face was now red from the cold. She was leaning against the glass wall as she drifted in and out of consciousness. "Linnie, she looks like she has caught a cold. Let's send her to the hospital." When Jeremy proposed this, Madeline was surprised.
Then, Madeline heard Jeremy sigh.
"I've gone to the hospital to ask about her condition. The doctor said she might have been triggered by external factors, so that's why her mental state is a little unstable now. That's also why she thinks that you're her elder sister whom she can trust and want to rely on the most. If that's the case, we'll help her in any way we can."
Jeremy finished saying that solemnly.
Madeline looked at the man's serious gaze thoughtfully. He did not look like he was joking.
"Linnie, help her into the car later. I'll drive the car over." After Jeremy said that, he turned to go to the car.
Madeline blinked her beautiful eyes and looked at Jeremy's carefree back. Then, she bent down to slowly help Hannah up. "Hannah, you should still be able to hear me, right? We'll take you to the hospital now. Get into the car with me."
After Madeline said that, she could vaguely hear Hannah call out, "Sis. " Then, she felt Hannah grab her wrist tightly. Jeremy said he was sending Hannah to the hospital but Madeline realized that this was not the way to the hospital. After driving for some distance, Hannah woke up seemingly groggily. Perhaps the heater in the car had allowed her to slowly regain her consciousness.
"Sis," Hannah looked at Madeline and called out weakly.
Madeline smiled. "You're awake. How do you feel?"
"Sis, I'm so cold." As Hannah said that, she inched closer to Madeline. She even grabbed Madeline's arm intimately.
Jeremy saw what Hannah was doing from the rearview mirror. Then, he said, "I've looked at your medical records in the hospital. The doctor said you're indeed a little delirious. I'm actually partly responsible for the way you are now. Since you're so desperate to be around me and my wife, then you can come back with us temporarily."
Jeremy's answer shocked Madeline once again.
She lifted her eyes and unintentionally looked into those deep and wise eyes in the rearview mirror.
There were no words exchanged between them but Madeline seemed to get the message Jeremy was trying to convey.
"Your wife?" Hannah suddenly lifted her astonished eyes to look at Jeremy who was driving. "Did you say that my sister is your wife?"
Jeremy nodded cooperatively, "That's right. Your sister is married to me. She's my wife."
After Hannah heard that, her eyes looked a little disappointed. "Sis, you're already married. Why didn't you tell me when you got married?" After she said that, she peered at Jeremy like she was disgusted by him. "Sis, this man is handsome, but he doesn't look like a nice guy. You have to be careful. "
