SWNOVELS Chapter 44 ~ Life Doesn’t Get Any Better
Delilah’s POV ~
We have been working with the federal government the last few weeks.. President Abrams was doing exactly what he said he had planned.. It was refreshing to see the follow through.
He exposed every department and every department official involved in Gemini.. He condemned and criticized each and every person involved.
In turn.. he praised Venom and Maddox for aiding in the apprehension and prosecution of the traitors.. and advised all humans to never cross that line again.. that in researching the turning.. there are procedures and protocols to follow.. and ultimately, trying to force a turn could be deadly.
Our lives were falling back into a routine.. the diner is back to full staff.. and operating on a full time basis again. I hired a new head server.. as well as a night manager.. Being the only restaurant in town guaranteed we were always busy.
The Goddess had visited a week ago.. Happy with the way things were coming together for her temple pack.. and she warned us about Eric Garrison.. that he hadn’t given up.. and even though I was still nearly three years away from claiming my inheritance.. we had to be vigilant.
Maddox laughed “We just aren’t going to get a boring life.. are we?” Selene laughed with him and said “My sweet Dubois! You are Alpha President to an immense Wolfpack Biker Club. The name itself is not conducive to a mundane lifestyle. You’re so cute!”
Making me laugh.. the Goddess referred to my mate as cute and he blushed like a schoolboy.

I smirked “Eww.. You’re all sweaty! And I am mad at you, anyway! How dare you block me out?” He looked confused.. then he blushed “I am so sorry! I didn’t even realize.. I won’t ever do it again.. I promise. Please don’t be mad.. Please? I love you..”
I laughed at him “And I love you! I guess I will forgive you.. I’m too happy today to stay mad at you.” He reached for me and started tickling me.. which had me laughing so hard my cheeks hurt.
He lifted me bridal style and ran for our rooms.. I asked where we were going and he laughed “I am going to shower.. and ultimately, my end goal would be for you to join me.. but barring that.. I will settle for you keeping me company. I missed you.”
He didn’t have to ask me twice! No way in hell would I pass up an opportunity to spend naked time with my handsome mate..
We took turns washing each other’s bodies.. And exploring each other’s bodies.. Touching and kissing each other’s bodies.. Until he stopped.. dead still and kissed my stomach.. gently and slowly..

My eyes filled with tears.. my smile stretched across my whole face.. and I nodded.. I whispered “We are carrying pups.. And they will make their appearance in three months.. the week before Christmas!”
He smiled slowly.. then it got bigger.. and he shouted “PUPS? More than one? Oh My Goddess! You are the greatest pride of my existence! Life just doesn’t get any better than this!”
