Chapter 90 Change Seats
Chapter 90 Change Seats
Jaxon was subtly hinting at something, but Anastasia did not realize it.
She said, "That's great. Let's change seats!"
She can't stand sitting there.
She had no idea what was wrong with Christian. His gaze was glued to her.
Ever since he discovered the truth about Beatrice's child, his attitude toward Anastasia changed.
But she found it annoying.
Jaxon raised his eyebrows and readily agreed. "Sure."
The second half of the meeting began.
Christian did not leave his seat much. He prepared hot coffee and dessert for Anastasia and looked forward to her return.
A few minutes later.
Someone finally sat down next to him.
When Christian handed over the coffee, he saw the person beside him, and his expression darkened instantly.
"It's you?"
Jaxon hooked the corners of his lower lips. His brows and eyes were cold, and he met Christian's gaze.
"it's me."
Christian's gaze sharpened suddenly, and just as he was about to stand up to look for Anastasia, Jaxon smiled contemptuously and said in a low voice.
"Mr. Patterson, I advise you to save some dignity for yourself. Ms. Graves asked to change seats with me because she didn't want to see a certain somebody. I wonder who it is?" Christian frowned deeply, and the aura around him was instantly shrouded in a thick haze.
Christian left early before the meeting ended.
Everyone regretted not being able to see the second half of the fight between the ex-couple.
Anastasia soon knew the reason for Christian's departure.
Beatrice was stabbed.
When Kevin told her the news, his expression was quite solemn.
"Ms. Graves, I heard from the doctor that Beatrice's injuries are similar to yours but more serious."
Anastasia raised her eyebrows and smiled casually.
"Did karma finally arrive?"
Before she did it, someone did it for her.
Kevin pursed his lips. "At that time, there was a family member of a patient in the hospital making trouble. Beatrice went to rubberneck and ended up getting stabbed." "Serves her right."
Anastasia smiled lightly.
Kevin thought for a while, then said.
"Beatrice cried there and said that you sent someone to do it because you hate her!"
Anastasia laughed after hearing this.
"She really isn't wasting any opportunity to cause me trouble!"
Her eyes darkened a little, and she pulled the corners of her lips, showing no extra expression.
On the way back, Jaxon was on the phone, and words like "injured", "hospital", and "money" came from the other side of the call.
After Jaxon hung up the phone, Anastasia asked him, "Beatrice injury. It was you?"
Jaxon looked at her and just smiled.
"She bullied you. I just taught her a little lesson."
Anastasia blinked.
Clearly, Jaxon knew that she was injured.
Did Jaxon come in a hurry and leave with her just to help her get revenge?
Suddenly, her guard against this person went down a little.
It turned out that being protected by someone like this would make one feel so good.
In the hospital, Beatrice cried in the dark. The wound on her arm was killing her.
How could she be so unlucky?
Seeing Christian coming in, she could not help but cover her face and cry again. The doctors around looked at each other, careful and not daring to make a sound. Looking at the messy scene, Christian felt a little irritable.
Remembering how Anastasia was applying medicine to the wound last night and did not shed a single tear, he seemed to feel a little more compassionate toward Anastasia.
"What happened?"
His tone was solemn.
