Chapter 254 Jane's Scheme
Chapter 254 Jane's Scheme
He picked up the discarded pillow and limped toward the back door.
Jane's expression began to show signs of nervousness.
She bit her lip and continued to provoke him, "Zachary, how dare you lay a hand on me? Are you willing to gamble with your mother's life? Don't forget. I still have your mother under my control. If I decide to make her vanish, she'll be in the hands of your creditors before you know it. Will they show her mercy?"
There was a hint of defiance in her eyes. One of her hands was on the back door handle, lightly pressing it.
Zachary's complexion visibly worsened, and his breathing became heavier with anger.
"You despicable woman. We'll go down together. How dare you threaten me?"
His expression was more of determination and ruthlessness. A dangerous glint of murder flickered in his eyes. The hand holding the pillow tightened, and the veins on it protruded.
Then, he strode forward even more decisively.
The next moment, Jane suddenly opened the door and stepped back onto the corridor outside.
Zachary didn't anticipate her sudden action. He chased after her, relishing in the satisfaction of seeing her fear.
"Isn't the wretched woman afraid now?" Zachary sneered.
His eyes filled with deadly intent as he seized her arm and forcefully threw her to the ground.
Suddenly, Jane screamed terrifyingly, "Help! Please let me go! Don't kill me!"
Her scream alerted the bodyguards nearby.
Two bodyguards quickly entered the room, their expressions terrified as they took in the situation.
Zachary was taken aback. He tightened his grip on Jane's neck and lifted her, using her as a shield.
Zachary backed away while approaching the railing.
He demanded, "Stay away! I have something to say to Mr. Patterson. I want to see him!"
Jane desperately shook her head at them, tears brimming in her eyes. She tried maintaining her composure as she spoke urgently, "Listen, don't believe him. He confessed to intentionally hurting Ms. Graves and planned to harm Mr. Patterson. It's all part of a scheme!"
Zachary grew infuriated and tightened his grip on her neck.
"You bitch!"
He was so agitated that he wished he could kill the woman who had caused him so much harm on the spot.
Jane's face turned ghostly pale, tears streaming down her cheeks. She feigned strength and looked for an opportunity to counterattack.
Suddenly, she thrust her body backward, causing Zachary to stagger back. Zachary was already injured, his body drenched in cold sweat. Despite the excruciating pain, he stubbornly refused to release his grip on Jane.
They collided with the railing, and Zachary involuntarily gasped.
Jane clung tightly to Zachary's arm, which was still wrapped around her neck. Her face turned a shade of pale blue as she struggled for breath.
The bodyguards grew increasingly anxious and exclaimed, "Ms. Martinez!"
Just as the bodyguards were about to lunge forward to help, they witnessed a sudden and unexpected twist.
Zachary's grip on Jane's neck tightened, forcing her to arch backward. Suddenly, he stumbled back and slipped on a wet patch.
He leaned backward, half his body extending over the railing.
།
However, just as he tried to regain his balance and stand upright, Jane, who was in front of him, also staggered backward and collided with him.
A loud splash followed.
Zachary plunged into the sea, frantically crying for help.
"Help!"
On the other hand, Jane stood firmly on her feet. Her expression was calm and composed.
She gripped the railing tightly, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth.
The bodyguards rushed over. One reached for a long pole nearby to rescue Zachary from the sea.
But Jane swiftly grabbed the pole and urged them, "Go to get someone to help!"
Despite knowing Zachary's dubious character, the bodyguards understood he was still helpful to Christian.
One of the bodyguards nodded and swiftly left to call for assistance.

Jane turned to the other bodyguard, her expression filled with urgency. "Go to get assistance! Get a speedboat ready to pull him out!
He'll sink fast!"
With a resolute expression, the bodyguard found Jane's request reasonable and promptly turned to leave.
Everyone had left the scene.
Jane held the long pole in her hands and extended it slowly...
