Madam, Your Ex-Husband Is On Call

Chapter 235

Chapter 235 For a Woman

Jane changed from her usual obedient self. She looked at Anastasia provocatively and arrogantly.

Anastasia glanced at her, said nothing, and was about to go in after passing her.

But Jane blocked her with indifference in her eyes.

"Ms. Graves, you are not welcome here. Leave now before anyone sees you."

Anastasia sneered and glanced at Jane contemptuously.

She said meaningfully, "I was not invited by you. You have no right to drive me away."

The lights shone down upon Anastasia, making her look delicate and charming.

Jane stopped smiling and took a step forward.

She said in a low voice, "Anastasia, I will treat you in the same way as you treated my family."

"Show me."

Anastasia smiled carelessly. She was not threatened by Jane.

There were many ambitious yet incapable ladies in this circle.

For those who could gain a firm foothold in the circle, in addition to the support of their family power, they had to be capable.

When Anastasia lifted her dress and walked down the steps, she saw a handsome man in a suit walking toward her.

"Ms. Graves, I've heard a lot about you. I am Zachary Thompson from Jongvale Company."

Anastasia was taken aback for a moment, then smiled happily.

"Mr. Thompson, nice to meet you."

Anastasia had been looking for Zachary for so long. He finally showed up.

She could tell that Zachary was a plausible coxcomb.

Zachary was polite, and the look in his eyes made Anastasia feel comfortable.

But when Anastasia mentioned the acquisition, Zachary didn't show an unequivocal attitude.

The place where they sat was crowded with people. It was not the best place to talk about things.

From time to time, someone would come over to say hello and interrupt their thoughts.

They were less than halfway through their conversation when they suddenly heard shouts of joy from the crowd.

Anastasia looked over. It turned out that the waiter pushed a delicate cake with more than ten tiers to the middle, and the words "eternal love" were written on the cake. Anastasia was stunned. Was what Jane said about the engagement true?

Lamia and James stood in the middle. Jane, in a red dress, stood beside them. Her shyness implied something.

Christian rushed over under James's urging.

Christian looked irritable. He glanced at the crowd, but he didn't see the person he wanted to see.

Lamia pushed him to Jane's side. The two stood in front of the cake.

Jane nervously picked up the cutter in front of her and looked at Christian.

Christian frowned. He grabbed the end of the handle of the cutter and cut the cake.

Everyone applauded.

Anastasia withdrew her eyes, lost in thought.

Zachary glanced at her.

He smiled. "I heard that today's cruise party was specially organized by Mr. Patterson for a woman. Is it the woman who is said to be engaged to him?"

Anastasia sneered, "I don't know. Maybe."

Zachary gave her a meaningful look.

"I can see that you have focused on your career after divorce, which is admirable."

Anastasia smiled.

She said calmly, "I think my career is much more interesting than men. I will be rewarded no matter how much effort I put in, but I can get nothing from my love for men." While the two were talking, Christian finally found Anastasia.

He looked at Anastasia and Zachary with a stern face and walked over with dissatisfaction.

"Why are you here?"
