Chapter Chapter-62: Thank you
"Idiots! They were naive, thinking that they could defeat the Dark Lord by joining hands with the other three packs. But we knew better by seeing the scene there. Then our head of the team..." Mason inhaled a deep breath recalling his father's sacrifice before continuing, "... took a decision rationally and ordered us to withdraw from the battle which resulted in him getting killed by the Alpha of the blue moon pack who couldn't accept our withdrawal."
Mason glared at Alpha Ralph with raging eyes. The pack members were stunned by listening to him.
"What do you mean by this? That our Alpha is responsible for this?" The beta of Alpha Ralph exclaimed, stepping ahead and glaring at Mason.
Lyceon smirked while nearing Allison who was confused by his approach.
"Yes!" Mason growled. "He had planned all of this with the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack and other Alphas, supporting The vampires who baited him to give power. He sacrificed us, the most strong warriors of the pack. Look at your idiotic, Pathetic, shameless, betrayer and loser Alpha Who doesn't give a damn to others' lives but his!" Mason's voice raised with each sentence making people gasp and filled with sudden disgust towards their Alpha. Their eyes filled with contempt and outrage shot daggers at their Alpha openly.
Lyceon caressed Allison's cheek with the back of his hand. She stood there dumbfounded, her ears were on Mason's voice but her eyes were set on Him.
"How dare you accuse me of something, you bastard. You ran away from the battlefield and came here now creating a colourful story to defame and blame me. How dare you!" Alpha Ralph suddenly got angry, forgetting the Dark Lord's presence.
All that mattered to him was his reputation now after losing everything. His wife, the luna of the pack, looked at him with apprehension. She knew he was at fault and now he had to pay for his wrongdoings. She stopped him from doing this, supporting the enemies just for the greed of power but he didn't listen to her.
"Why Alpha? Scared to lose your people's trust now?" Aztec chimed in with a twisted smile. He looked around for someone special but his eyes couldn't spot anyone as he expected. His mate was not there.
"It would be a little unnerving for you, but you can close your eyes, Angel!" Lyceon whispered softly, looking at her exquisite face. Allison's brows pulled together seeing his confused behaviour.
"Alpha! Is this true? My son died because of you?" The old man whose son went to the war, stepped ahead and asked with a cracked voice. His eyes screamed despair and agitation.
"Bullshit!" Alpha Ralph shouted as he realized his pack members were looking at him with accusing eyes. He was filled with outrage.
"... first, my son died because of your sister and now you came here to ruin my status and the pack's piece. I should have known better and killed your bitchy sister then but now I will kill you... Attack him!" He shouted to his warriors. Allison gasped in worry as she heard Alpha Ralph barking orders to kill her brother. But as she blinked, the next second her heart dropped to her stomach seeing the beheaded body of Alpha Ralph on the hard ground in a bloodbath.
She could hear her own harsh breath in the pin drop silence around. The wind turned wild and the flock of birds flew away from the trees. Everyone was shocked to the core to witness the air-like stunt by the Dark Lord. He killed their Alpha in a blink. The air shifted suddenly to become thicker with the rotten scent of their dead Alpha.
Allison's broadened eyes stared at the bloody head of her old Alpha on the ground and ever so slowly her numb eyes raised up only to see Lyceon standing near it with a boring expression and bloody claws.
And then it happened. A scream sounded in the area as the Luna of the pack fell to her knees, clutching her heart as the excruciating pain attacked her by the loss of her mate. Finally Allison breathed out with water gathered around the corners of her eyes.
Mason was satisfied, he looked at the bloody body of the Alpha. He wanted to do this but he knew with his status, it might have created a problem for him. And moreover nobody could question the deed of the Lycan king so he was fine with it.
Aztec passed the clean handkerchief to Lyceon to clean the dirty blood from his hands. Lyceon looked at the crying Luna who was surrounded by the other ladies to comfort her. Everyone was shivering with this stunt by him and his dark presence.
"Now, it's upon you to choose. Either you people want to die peacefully or come under the Dark Walker's wings willingly!" Lyceon announced clearly leaving no room for them to choose. Everyone glanced at each other with frightened looks. But then someone dared to open his mouth.

"We.... we pledge to you, King. Our Alpha wronged us cruelly, causing our dear ones deaths. We can't do anything about it but surrender to you completely. We will serve you from now on!" The new head of the warriors who was chosen after Allison's father's death, stepped ahead and courageously showed his loyalty by bending on his one knee. And everyone after his announcement fell on their knees in front of the Dark Lord including the beta and Delta.
Lyceon raised his head in pride and nodded curtly before walking back to Allison who looked at his every move with numb eyes.
"Don't look at the dead. He is gone for good, Angel. And I am not apologetic for creating a little bloodbath here so delete this scene out of your memory."
"Thank you!" Allison let out abruptly. And Lyceon was startled. He raised his brows confused by her words.
"You avenged my father's and my people's death. So thank you!" Allison looked at him with a straight face. She was not feeling sorry for that worthless man whom she used to call Alpha.
Lyceon stared at her for a good long minute and then nodded.
"King, should I call our guards to protect this territory from now on?" Aztec asked from behind to which Lyceon nodded. Because He knew Keir would definitely come here if he hadn't in the past. And that's why Lyceon was here before him to find something which could help him to get to Allison's background.
"Do it, Aztec." Lyceon wrapped his arm around Allison's waist and pulled her close.
"Won't you show me your sweet home, Angel?"
