Chapter Chapter-56: The war is coming
Rustin looked over at his friend And just then Drake's face contorted into pain as he cried. The other guy and Rustin watched him horrified.
Lyceon walked back and walked around the table to sit on the chair placed for him. He stared at Drake with a nonchalant face and drummed his fingers on the table, waiting for him to vanish into thin air.
And then it happened. A loud scream numbed their ears and Drake shook badly on the chair, helpless. He twisted his body parts in pain as if something was devouring him from the inside. His face was turning from blue to black and his painful scream instilled fear in his friends.
And in a few minutes, his body turned charred like it burned layer by layer before turning into ashes leaving the skeleton behind. A silence greeted the dirty walls after then.
That's what a Lyceon's venomous blood does.
Lyceon looked at the other guy who visibly flinched back in fear. He seemed like a newbie, so young to be a vampire. And Lyceon could only wonder how many innocents Keir had turned to for his selfish motive.
Rustin swallowed in fear but he knew death was inevitable to him now. Either way he was gonna die if not by the Dark lord then by the hands of his master.
Lyceon looked at him again for the last time. His eyes screamed the upcoming brutal death, exclusive for him only. Rustin didn't want to imagine another colourful death of his own.
Lyceon stood up and walked to him.
"Your Time's up." He declared and without warning He penetrated Rustin's chest with his claws and squeezed his heart painfully. He screamed in pain and jolted back. L
"Ain't you the one who touched my Mate!" Lyceon gritted, nearing his face. Rustin's eyes popped out of his sockets with excruciating pain and hearing his statement. His breathing turned slow. Lyceon twisted his heart in his chest with a cold smile. He wanted to enjoy his painful state before ripping his heart out of his chest.
Rustin never knew the girl, Allison, was the Dark Lord's mate otherwise they could have planned something else. He was terrified with the new revelation and saw his death in front of his eyes. Blood was flowing out of his chest like a waterfall. "Any last wish! Motherfucker." Lyceon hissed, again clutching his heart, almost crushing it. Rustin's body gave up before his breathing.
"He.. he would have her anyhow. Nobody can stop him this time. He is all prepared.... And stronger to give you a sure death this time. The war is coming.." Rustin spit blood out of his mouth.
"And I didn't hear anything new!" Lyceon shook his head and ripped him apart before plucking his heart out and tearing him from the front with his claws.
The last alive guy wailed seeing the scene with his bloody eyes. Lyceon turned to him and smiled. He jerked back in fear thinking he was the next. He tried to pull his body out of the silver chains but his efforts went in vain. Aztec rolled his eyes and hit the back of his head for making noise.
"Keep him for the examination." Lyceon told Aztec who snorted with a laugh.
"He would be perfect to use for."
Lyceon nodded and turned around to walk back. Aztec followed him outside before filling him with the latest news.
"Your assumptions were right! We found Allison's brother. Now what's the next move? Digging their background?"
Lyceon breathed in and headed straight to the mansion to solve the mystery that had been sitting silently around the corners of his messed-up mind for years.
"We don't have time to dig, Aztec. Call everyone in my office."

Allison gulped down the glass of juice given to her by Grace. She caressed her head and muttered, "Everything will be fine, dear. Though it would be selfish on my part to say that I am very happy to know that you are our King's mate. But Please don't judge him. He is not that bad. Just know that Your destiny is bound here."
Allison closed her eyes and remained silent, not knowing what to draw from her statement. "Ali..."
She snapped her eyes up listening to the familiar voice. Mason came running to her as soon as he heard she was safe.
"Mason.." Allison stood up with fresh tears welled up in her eyes. He strode to her. She met him on the way and cried before hugging him. "Thank goddess, you are fine! I knew you were alive!"
"Shhh. I am here. Everything is fine, my little sister?" Mason sighed before securing her into his arms. Allison nodded and looked up with a small anxious smile. "I thought He hurt you..." "He didn't! He was just angry and you know why!" He nodded to which Allison sighed.

"I won't!" He said and turned to Grace and Felicia. "Can we have privacy for a while?" He asked them. They nodded and left the room but Rebecca stayed there silently.
Mason gestured to her to leave too. She looked at Allison, sighed and then left as well. "Allison, how did you get here?" He asked as soon as he sensed nobody was near them.
"I...the Lycan king just came out of nowhere to the ball party and claimed me as his. He warned Alpha Ralph so they kind of sold me to him as a bargain to stop the war from erupting." Mason gritted his jaws hearing the selfish deed done by their pack.
"After you both went to the war, two weeks later, Alpha Ralph informed us you all were dead in the war by the Dark Lord. I knew.. You were not when your name wasn't in the list of the deceased ones. Dad was...." She choked on her saliva and sobbed on his chest. Mason hugged her again and consoled her. His inside burned thinking how cruelly his coward Alpha gave up on his sister.
"Allison, all are dead except me and Klaus." Mason informed her after she turned quiet on his chest. Allison raised her head and blinked up in surprise. "Klaus?"
He nodded. Klaus was Mason's friend and was the son of their father's best friend.
"Oh! His parents will be happy to know that." Allison murmured recalling their sobs when Alpha Ralph informed them of the disappearance of some warriors.
"They will but you need to tell me what happened after the King brought you here!" Allison looked into her brother's eyes.
