Chapter Chapter-49: Offhand Decision
Allison, who had clutched Ashina's arm tightly, turned numb seeing the bloody head of the dead man as it fell in front of her with his front facing her. Her body turned hot, she felt sick and nauseated. Her complexion turned white and her mouth dry.
"You should have kept him alive to get some knowledge!" Lyceon said nonchalantly. Tears rolled down her cheeks seeing them talking casually as if they didn't kill her pack member, her best friend's boyfriend.
Allison looked at Asher's body and cried loudly. Aztec snapped his head at her and puffed a breath while snapping his canines at her. Lyceon warned him with a growl, Aztec's wolf submitted his neck as he moved back before running away into the woods in his wolf form to vent out his pain and frustration about losing his mate.
Lyceon turned and pulled Allison into him and enveloped her in a warm hug to soothe her.
"It's alright, Angel! He might have done something wrong." Lyceon tried to comfort her by giving a reason for Asher's slaying by Aztec. Allison pinched her eyes feeling pathetic. How many more deaths does she have to witness?
She opened her eyes in misery and then her gaze followed the spot from where Aztec left. She cursed him for doing this. She thought she had found a good friend in Dark walkers kingdom but no. He was the worst among them. Just like his King.
Suddenly she saw a pair of silver eyes and Naomi's face gleamed after the tree bushes. Allison startled and lyceon hugged her tightly. She looked up with narrowed eyes from his shoulder to see if she was imagining her. But no! Naomi was there with angry features. She might have seen how these beasts killed another pack member of theirs. Though she didn't give a damn about Asher but again she couldn't stand these same beasts who killed her mate.
It would be difficult for her to break the news to Nora. Allison was anxious as Naomi gave her a look. The look to decide what she really wants. They didn't have time now. Allison has to decide anyhow.
And under pressure and seeing wildness around her, Allison couldn't get but decided something on the spot.
She squeezed her arms around Lyceon and ever so slowly nodded at Naomi with teary eyes. She couldn't afford more deaths and manipulations by them. She would decide for herself now. No more mysteries and drama. Just direct answers to her questions. She knew her decision was offhand but it was necessary.
And for that She will escape the kingdom tomorrow!

The whole night and day Allison stayed in her room in a worried state. She refused to go anywhere or let anyone come to her. They gave her space after last night because of whatever happened in front of her eyes. The bloody face of Asher flashed in her vision and she pinched her eyes to control her emotions.
Ashina couldn't manage to calm her nor did anyone else. Allison just wanted to stay alone after coming back to the mansion. She was relieved that the Lyceon was not there otherwise her senses would have gone haywire. She ceased to think about his cruelty. She just wanted to get out of there and she knew that time was today.
Allison caressed the picture frame of her family, the only thing which she would take with her. She wouldn't risk another thing to grab as her plan was simply to get out of there, without getting suspicious. And she didn't know where they planned to take her as Naomi told her they won't be going to her old pack.
Stuffing the picture frame in the inner pocket of her long coat she hurriedly combed her hair with her fingers. Allison didn't even put on her sneakers but slippers to look regular just like she does before going to the garden every evening to roam around.
Allison went downstairs looking around cautiously and thankfully not many people were around. Bonnie smiled at her before dusting the table. Allison smiled back softly thinking she might not see her again.
Sighing, Allison wandered into the garden for a while not to look suspicious and then headed towards the opposite side where Naomi notified her to go. She had a lot of time to plan her things before heading to her destined point. Just when Allison was going to squeeze her palm to activate a spell of hiding her scent, a voice interrupted her.
"You didn't have breakfast either!" Allison stiffened, hearing his voice. She hadn't seen him around since last night but again she had no wish to see him after that party.
Allison turned to look at his rugged look with a brown leather jacket and white pants on. Something was off around him like he just experienced a wild battle. "I'm not hungry!" She said, simply.
Aztec sighed but nodded anyway. He walked to Allison who stepped back, alerted. Aztec's eyes twitched at her reaction but he still walked to her with a curt face.
"I understand your feelings, Ali. But I had no option. I couldn't help but kill him because he was trying to pull my mate apart from me and he... got successful. He had to die." He silently seethed. His tone held the anger and pain too. Allison always saw Aztec as a charming and easygoing man but today he was different. Like rough and tough.
Allison was puzzled hearing his statement. So he had found his mate but why was Asher trying to interfere between them? But there was a red flag in her mind about the whole scenario. Who was his mate?
"But still, You didn't have the right to kill him. There is always another way. He was my best friend's boyfriend." Allison let out. She bit her lip thinking how Nora might be handling this. She didn't receive her calls in the morning. And Alpha Ralph!
Allison was losing her old pack bit by bit. On the above, she was losing her senses. She was startled when Aztec held her shoulders. She looked up to see his eyes flashed with gold colour.
"You say, boyfriend." there was a hint of aggression and jealousy in his tone which startled her.
"You... Your friend. Where is she? Did she come to the party? And do you know her? Where is she now? Can I see her?" He was asking back to back questions that made her irritated. Allison tried to jerk his hands off her body. "Aztec! You are hurting me!" She almost yelled, at his tight grip on her shoulders. His eyes turned normal as he looked at her, lost. His grip loosened and she stepped back.
"Why are you asking for my friend? Do you want to kill her too?" she pursed her lips, glaring at him. Aztec growled and pulled his hair in irritation and desperation. His eyes were throwing daggers at Allison but she knew he wouldn't hurt her intentionally. Afterall, she was his king's mate. His queen!
But then a thought invaded Allison's mind and she gasped.
Oh goddess! Please don't tell me it is what I am thinking? Nora can't be his mate!
"Why would I kill her? I fucking smell her scent on him! She is my Mate." He growled and breathed heavily which made Allison scared and stunned too.
No! She wasn't there at the party?
Is He talking about Naomi?
