Lyceon - The dark lord

Chapter Chapter -34: Royal Council Meeting

"When is Rebecca coming back?" Lyceon asked Aztec walking into the familiar building where the royal council meetings are held every month on vital issues.

"In the evening or tomorrow morning. I Am not sure though." Aztec replied. As now Aztec and Ashina were with him to join the meeting, He left his trusted bodyguards for the safety of Allison back in his territory. Though Allison won't go out of the kingdom on her own and nobody could touch the hair on her body in his territory but He couldn't take a bit of risk when the enemies are dancing around.

Aztec opened the door for him and Lyceon and Ashina walked inside before him. The big hall was filled with the heads of werewolf packs, leaders, Alphas and betas of various packs, covens and prides including elders.

All of them bowed their heads in respect except the elders. The five elders were equally powerful as Lyceon but they were at this position to solve the affairs for the consensus of all species. They believe in peace and ensure the rights of every pack to live in Harmony without causing problems to others.

They took their seats and started the meeting.

"Lyceon, You said that for the last few months, nobody attacked around then what was the reason for them to do so suddenly? Are you sure it was the doings of vampires?" one of the elders asked.

"Indeed!" Lyceon nodded. All of them turned attentive and the wave of apprehension washed over them as nobody wanted another bloodbath on them.

"But Nobody seen him for the last few years. Most of his allies are dead and the Witches who supported him had also disappeared or died. He couldn't just come out of nowhere and attack people like this." Trevor, The leader of the vampire pack who was the only member of this council out of the whole vampire community stated.

They were talking about the first original Vampire Keir Frederick who initiated the big war thirty years ago, shaking the cores of whole supernatural creatures on the earth, revealing their existence to the mortal world. The war went on for two years. That greedy bastard wanted to rule the world by eradicating other immortal creatures with his dirty manipulating ways.

Lyceon spared him a look of challenge. Trevor was not to believe to be trustworthy to begin with but his consistent efforts for bringing truce between the communities with patience showed otherwise. Though his cousin was another case who was neither at the enemy's side nor theirs.

"If his old allies were dead then he would create new ones. It's not difficult for him when he has his witch whore with him. And he may not come out of his cave yet but it doesn't mean he is dead."

Everyone exchanged glances at each other at Lyceon's statement.

"So what do you suggest, should we start our hunt for them? If he is alive then it won't be easy to catch him considering his powers and if he was not the one behind the recent attacks, then this new enemy is not a fool to play with." Mellina, The Alpha werecat from the 'golden pride' said.

"Keir Frederick is alive and in one piece. That bloodsucker bastard escaped death by my hands once but not next time. Only if his witch hadn't yanked him out of the battle. Bloody cowards!" Lyceon's powerful voice resonated throughout the whole room driving everyone to succumb into his authority and belief. He recalled the scene of the war where He lost his last saviour.

"The battle, ten years ago, cost us many lives. But again nothing can be decided based on just assumptions and beliefs. If this is the case, then we need to dig it deeper. Above all, we need to strengthen our powers and connections to get assistance so that we can be prepared unlike last time and fight the enemies when the time comes." Brian, the oracle and one of the elders, stated while giving Lyceon a knowing look.

The murmurs of everyone broke down in the room.

"That's what we meant to say and need to consider. We need to form a strong division to plan the defeat of the enemies." Ashina suggested for the first time.

"The whole south side is in my touch, I will keep notifying them about the potential threats and the measures to be taken in case. We have the bestest witches there to work with." Phoebe the witch and Luna of the silver moon pack announced, grabbing their attention. Her husband and the Alpha Leonard nodded in pride, agreeing with his wife.

"I appreciate the help, Luna Phoebe. But keep in mind Thana is also from the southern side. We cannot trust everyone in our circle. The black witch is too smart to be ignored." Lyceon said. He still remembers how that witch stained his face with her magic, almost wounding his lycan to death on the spot if not for his saviour. Thana was whore of Keir Frederick who supported his malicious schemes. She also coveted the throne of the powerful witch on the earth.

"We will look into this, King. I will arrange the meetings with other werewolf packs to talk about this scenario and give them the knowledge." Alpha Leonard said.

Lyceon nodded but He could see the reluctance on Trevor's face. The vampire seemed uncomfortable with the unfolding events. Though he was the only vampire who was against Keir Frederick and his army but He didn't want to exterminate his own species from the earth. And it's almost understandable.

After the council meeting finished, Brian approached Lyceon when all walked out the room.

"Lyceon, I reckon that you are being prepared for another battle. Did you solve the puzzle and find something or someone?"

Lyceon almost missed the shine in Brian's eyes for a second but He understood the meaning behind his words.

"I guess, I still needed to check it myself if the puzzle is worth solving. But I will let you know once I confirm it."

Brian chuckled and nodded his head.

"I'm sure, you will, child. Moon goddess finally shows the time to bless you now. You are given what you deserve and it's time for the prophecy to come true. You will find all the pieces to unite powers with and defeat the enemy." Lyceon merely looked at him and nodded.

"Iam waiting for it." He mused. Obviously He was not relying on prophecy and waiting for it to show some magic to grant him the power or whatever. He had his own agendas to follow.

"Do you think this oracle is being serious? I am not seeing any signs to find any source which could lead us the way!" Ashina enquired sitting in the back seat of the car.

"You are forgetting something important, Ashi." Aztec interrupted. She looked at him questioningly and raised her brows for him to continue his talk.

"Our King had found his Queen, his mate." Aztec smirked.

Only then the realisation hit Ashina and she turned her gaze towards her brother. How could she forget?

Whereas Lyceon was staring ahead with a blank face. His eyes were longing to see Her and his Lycan was itching to go to her and comfort her worries and soothe her soul. He wanted to take her into his arms and never let her go but He knew He had to wait for the right time.

He admitted it was an unknown mistake on his part to kill her family but He can't do anything about it now except for one thing.

"Aztec, fetch me the list of the members we brought in the 'dark walkers' last month and sent to the training session last month." Aztec confusedly nodded at him but he knew Lyceon had some purpose behind this demand which he will get to know later. Lyceon sighed, hoping for some optimistic

News. It's been only two days and having her around him became his solace. After all He got her after many years and He had no intention to let her away from his eyes, let alone leave her.

'I know what you are planning, Angel.'

His lopsided smirk only hinted at the upcoming events.
