Lycanthropy

Chapter Chapter Ninety

“Oh, and Radu has explained to me, that every royal has a specific power. I guess that when I had to put you to sleep, when you were younger, it was so easy for me as the royal power helped me getting you tired.” My mother laughed, while looking at her hands.

“Shouldn’t you go to sleep, honey?” She asked me in a baby voice and with a false pout.

It only dawned on me then, that she was referring to me being exhausted. I couldn’t understand that I had been so tired from only kicking the living shit out of one person, while he didn’t even fought back. But now I remember that I only felt like that, when she touched me.

Her touch could drain people from their energy!

Ominous cackles were heard, and within a flash or two, both Radu and her stood up and went to the forest. Radu had only pretended to be hurt badly… great.

My grandmother was now in tears, as she had realised as well that she had lost her daughter once more. The pain of losing her, coming back tenfold, as something evil had taken over.

“See you tomorrow night, daughter!” My evil mother linked me.

The sun was about to break through, and my eyes couldn’t carry the burden of staying open any longer. Last thing I remembered is that Aron had picked me up, and carried me to my bed.

I woke up at the smell of freshly baked bacon, and I managed to raise myself up in bed.

“Good afternoon love, how are you feeling?” Aron asked me.

It is afternoon already? I have to arrange for everything to be set up again, tonight was going to be another night of long fights, and we had to get prepared!

I was trying to get up, as I pulled away the covers, but Aron interrupted me.

“I have taken care of everything already, eat up.” He said sternly, while shoving the plate of meat and vegetables under my nose.

“Really?” I asked him.

“Yes, what kind of mate, Alpha or King, would I be if I couldn’t handle preparations for battle?” He said smiling.

I thought it over for a second and it was a strange experience. Every struggle that I had faced, I had managed to supply for answers and preparation on my own. Sure, I had people who did financial stuff and advised me on plenty of things, but still, I was the one that felt responsible for the things that had to be arranged. And now he had done it, so I could sleep.

“Sorry, you are right.” I replied.

“Yes I am. Now eat.” He said and I took a slice of bacon while the delicious grease dripped on the plate.

I swiped my finger through it and wanted to lick it off, but Aron beat me to it. He took my hand to himself and sucked my finger.

“So good.” He moaned.

I was distracted for a moment, as his lustful eyes could have me right here and right now. But it wasn’t the time. Unfortunately.

“Save those thoughts for later, Aron. We still have to kill some nasty little creatures.” I said after clearing my throat.

“Yes, about that. What are you going to do about her?” He asked me.

“Sigrid is dead to me.” I said clear as day.

“I couldn’t possibly imagine what is going through your mind right now, but are you sure?”

“Yes, that monster that was here last night, isn’t my mother. She was killed by my father, years ago, and that is that.” I said again.

“Good, because I don’t think Dimitri will be happy if you don’t kill her, after what happened.”

“Oh shoot! His blades? Can he still use them?” I asked him, when memories of her assault on him, came back again.

“Yes, we have made different handles already, but his hands are still broken. Your mother- sorry, Sigrid, had drained him as well, so he isn’t able to recuperate that fast now.”

“Poor Dimitri. But there is someone else, who might be able to use them. I’ve seen during battle how fast she is, and she stayed in human form as well. Just like him.”

“Yes, I know, she has them already. Great minds think alike.” He winked and gave me a kiss on the head. “Take a shower and I’ll see you outside in a bit, alright?” He said and left the room.

“These aren’t your daggers! Stop stabbing and start swiping!” Dimitri shouted against Magda.

She muttered something in a different language, and spit the ground right in between Dimitri’s feet.

His hands were wrapped in bandages, making it clear that they weren’t healed yet. And now he was scolding at Magda, for not using his blades in the right way.

Of course, each time that she turned herself around, he had smiled again. But after every turn he scolded her some more, for using the weapons incorrectly.

She on her side, tried to hit and slash the dummies in front of her. But I could agree with Dimitri that she was more a stabber, than she was a swiper.

I felt pretty good and so far, after looking around a bit, I could tell that indeed all preparations were set and done already. So, I felt the need for providing Magda a little help.

“Come, let’s spar for a little. This dummy won’t fight back, and I will. It could maybe help you with using those a little better.” I said while nodding towards the blue blades in her hands.

“Gladly.” She said shortly.

“Dimitri, go pester Aron and see if everything is done.” I said to him.

“Fine, whatever.” He said and stood up.

As we both watched him walk away, I could hear Magda moving her feet in the dirt and knew that she was getting ready to attack me. She didn’t want to waste time by letting grass to root over, did she?

I chuckled however and dodged her first stab, which gave me an opening in her defence. Then I hit her on her side, and managed to dodge another stab, but now from her left arm.

“If I am going to rely on you being able to kill those royals, with these strange blades, then you have to change your attitude.” I said to her.

“I don’t have an attitude!” She said with an angry tone.

“Sure, and you don’t have feelings for Dimitri either, right?” I sniped at her, while hitting one of the blades out of her hand, as she wasn’t focused anymore.

I dodged her a few times over, and then was able to hit the other blade away as well.

One of the blades stood point down in the ground, and the other laid on the ground, covered in some dirt.

I folded my arms and looked at her with a small smile.

“Look Magda, I’m not going to tell him. I just want you to put him out of your head for now, so that you can focus on the battle. And now I come to think about it, why are you here in the first place?”

“Because Amy asked me.” She shrugged her shoulders.

“Bullshit, what is it?” I asked and used a little Alpha command.

“That, there, won’t work on me. I’m a strong Alpha as well.” She said, while pointing at my arrogant stance.

“All you have to know is that I want Radu dead, just as much as Dimitri does.”

“Fair enough. But what about Daniel? You hit his shoulder, when you could have easily avoided that.”

“Oh that? Amy told me what he did to you, and I just don’t like men who are that weakly minded. He should be glad that I only hit his shoulder though, I was planning to take away his manhood if it weren’t for his new mate to like him.” She said as it was a matter of fact.

I was stunned at her answer for a moment but then laughed out loud. Her character is odd but I like her.

“Now, are you going to listen to Dimitri’s pointers?” I sincerely asked her.

She walked up to the blades and took them from the ground. She smiled, and then actually swiped them across, together at the same time. I barely dodged them, before she crossed the blades and scissored them against my throat.

“Like this?” She asked smiling.

“Yes, perfectly.” I replied, only a little stunned. Just a little.
