Chapter 23
Chapter 23
Brielle
The moment I joined everyone at the breakfast, I learned from the Luna Opal that the King wouldn’t be joining us today because he ieft in the morning for some urgent work. Immediately I realized that I wasn’t dreaming when I felt Ezekiel on my bed at dawn, asking me to give him a goodbye k*ss.
And like a stupid idiot, I tossed in the other direction, prioritizing my sleep over romance.
Luna Opal just knew that he had, but no one knew where he exactly went or for how many days.
It wasn’t that I used to spend my whole day with him, but the fact that he wasn’t around today was making me feel miserable.
To divert my mind from him. I used my mind to wonder why Alpha Tristan didn’t ask anything about what happened to him last night.
Why didn’t he feel anything suspicious even after knowing that he had fainted last night?
As much as I was curious about it. I kept my curiosity at bay, not planning to invite trouble on my own. At the same time. I was getting a little suspicious thinking about Alpha Tristan’s behavioral change towards me.
Behaving like a gentleman was a different thing, and trying to woo a woman was a different thing. Not to forget, he acted romantic and like a couple even when we were alone.
I really hoped what I was thinking was wrong, but my sixth sense was saying otherwise. Maybe that was the reason he didn’t want to break the contract.
The whole day was extremely good; not once did Raya and Jade disturb me. And the omega that Dad had sent for me kept trailing behind Jade like a loyal servant.
I wondered why Dad sent these two jokers to me. By observing Raya and Jade together, one could say that they were sisters of a different mother.
I was surprised to see a projector and all the necessary arrangements in the dining room when I walked inside to have dinner.
Okay!
What was this drama all about?
I could see that everyone was curious about why all this setup was happening here and who was behind it. I looked at Raya, who was smirking like a she-devil.
Do you have any idea what is going to happen?’ I linked Jade, who looked like she was on her team now. And this time, she wasn’t even pretending to care for me.
‘Oh, Raya prepared a presentation for Alpha Tristan and you, as you both are going to be brides and grooms after six days, Jade responded and smiled at me.
I prepared myself for the storm that was going to come next.
“Did you help her prepare it? I mean, you were with her throughout the day,
Yep I did
Nodding my head, I started having my dinner once everyone was there except him. I missed him. And I wished I could tell ham the same, but I couldn’t. He warned me not to text anything that could be revealed in the investigation if it had any

We have to keep our mate bond secret.
Once everyone was done with the dinner, Raya gave a speech about how she worked hard on preparing this beautiful presentation for Tristan and me.
I was tempted to say that only if she had worked hard on her career would she wouldn’t be here acting like a gold digger and an opportunistic
Soon, the presentation started by introducing the groom with a big picture of him at the corner, showing everyone all about his positive points. I was waiting for the bride part because it was hard to believe that she would have written positive points for me as well.
And finally, after a couple of minutes, my picture appeared with the title, Bride.
My first quality was beauty, and I controlled myself from reacting when a picture of Ezekiel k*ssing me appeared next. Thankfully, one could only see his n*ked back. As much as I was scared in this situation, I couldn’t help but admire his back.
[A whore]
The next picture appeared showing me sharing with Jameson an ice cream together. After that, the next picture was of Tristan making me wear the diamond n*ecklace. [A gold/diamond digger]
Before this presentation could have played further. Tristan got up from his seat and, grabbing the projector, broke it into pieces.
“What the hell is this. Raya? Why are you behind my fiancé? Just leave her alone,” he growled.
“This time I’m not framing her but showing her true color.”
“The color you’re trying to show is baseless. I don’t know what shit you’ve added to the whole presentation, but let me clarify one thing. Alpha Warren isn’t a poor Alpha, so there is no chance that Brielle can be a gold or diamond digger. And I’m aware of her past and her boyfriend, Jameson Bowman. So. dare you try to insult her by bringing these things?”
“You know?” Raya asked in shock, not expecting to hear that.
“Yes. I know. Along with the fact that Brielle ended her relationship with him.”
“No! No!” She screamed. “This whore hasn’t ended his relationship with his ex-boyfriend. She k*ssed him last night.”
I what?
So, she concluded that the man was Jameson, my ex, not Ezekiel. I didn’t know why, but I sighed in relief. I didn’t know that I was holding my breath until I released it.
“You’re expecting me to believe you, huh? Everyone present here knows that you don’t like fiancee from day one.”
“In that case, you can ask Jade. She is the one who clicked that picture last night, Raya said, to which Jade nodded, like a b*tch that she was. She threw me under the bus the very first moment she got there. As long as they weren’t considering that man wasn’t Ezekiel, I was fine with that. I just didn’t want him to fall into any trouble.
“Even though Bri is my sister, I can’t hide these shameless acts of hers from everyone. I’m ashamed to call her my sister at this moment.” Jade said, “I know no one was expecting this kind of behavior from her after getting engaged with you, Alpha Tristan.” she added..
“And I will trust someone who is slutty herself,” Tristan mocked.
“Don’t get blinded by this witch’s beauty, Son. Not everyone can be lying here,” Luna Opal said. In the next moment, Lana Fern and Luna Kali also joined her.
TU irust my fiancee over everyone. Tristan announced, and grabbing my wrist, he walked out of there like a hero. Well, tonight he was indeed here. He acted like my true friend, who started beside me when I needed someone the most.

Chapter 23
Opening the door of my room loudly, we walked inside. I saw the guards closing the door beside us. Before I could have thanked him, he pushed me towards the table, making the vase on the table fall to the floor. I controlled my sob as the corner of the table hit my forehead with force.
“Tristan…”
“Shut up, whore,” he growled. It looked like I made a mistake in assuming he was my savior.
