Chapter 18
Chapter 18
Tristan
*
“Tonight, I couldn’t understand your move, Alpha.” My beta, Easton, spoke when I was thinking about Brielle. That woman was something. She was far more interesting than I had read about her.
The way she didn’t give a damn about me or who I was pissed off, but at the same time, she intrigued me as well.
It would be a big lie to say that I hate or want her gone. I wanted her, but the problem was that she didn’t want me
1/11
and was hoping for me to free her from this agreement.
For whom was she this
desperate to leave?
Her ex–boyfriend.
That thought pissed me off.
“What move?” I asked
nonchalantly.
“You insulted Lady Raya for a woman whom you love for a woman who meant nothing to you,” he said. To be honest, I wanted to become a hero in Brielle’s eyes, but nothing like that happened.
I hated how strong–headed, feisty, and intelligent she was.
2/11
Not only that, even for a human, she was too strong. I wanted to break her and make her submit to me, but it wasn’t
that easy.
That woman stayed without sleep, food, or water but didn’t bow down to me.
She tossed my card at my face, cutting it into two pieces.
She insulted me by taking a rat to the party and introducing it to me. Could you blame that?
I hated the fact that she was too strong and stubborn. But I also knew how to break a
woman like her. With love and winning her trust, I would make her fall in love with me,
3/11
and then I would break her in the worst possible way.
This woman forced me to
apologize.
Not only that, she didn’t mind taunting him from time to time with his sharp words like a dagger.
“Have you ever heard that everything is fair in love and war?” I questioned him. “Raya won’t mind what I did with her tonight; in fact, she will start getting more insecure and jealous of Brielle. I’m sure she will do something against Brielle to hurt her, and then I will save her again and again and again, breaking her so
4/11
completely that she will be begging in front of me and k*ssing the floor where I keep my feet. It’s just that I wanted to woo Brielle as well.”
“And let me guess that it flopped badly,” he said with a chuckle, on which I narrowed
my eyes.
“OUT!” I growled, kicking him out of my room. I knew that my plan didn’t work, but one day it would definitely work.
I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t see fear in her eyes.
She smiled, thinking about tasting her l*ps for a second. It was amazing. I couldn’t wait to taste her whole and then dump
5/11
her like trash, just like her own family members did.
Lying on the bed, I imagined her f**king herself senselessly. I was not sure whether she would be able to handle me. For the first time, I had seen so much skin, and I wanted to see more of her.
With the plan to win her heart, I finally closed my eyes, only to learn from my guards that Raya was here. I asked them to make her leave.
Let her think that she has been replaced.

A week passed.
6/11
I kept saving Brielle’s ass from Raya’s mischief by letting her down again and again, but nope, nothing was working on Brielle. Even after spending
hours together, take the
initiative to come close to her.
All I could get was her blank response and the constant reminder that I was in love with Raya. This whole thing was just a deal for her. And she wanted to leave here as soon as possible.
I couldn’t explain how I had been controlling my anger by not snapping at her, but doing that meant throwing water at the work that I did to make a good impression in front of her. So, I had no option but to
7/11
be patient and wait for her to open her heart to me.
I wouldn’t lie, but now I regret telling her the truth behind the marriage. If I hadn’t done that, then today I wouldn’t have been working so hard to wrap her around my finger. Now that she knew the truth, she had been extra careful.
I hated how she was making me dance on her fingers.
“So, Tristan, when are you planning to marry Brielle?” Dad asked at the dinner table.
“Soon, Dad,” I muttered, placing my hand over Brielle’s, which became cold hearing
this. I knew she would now
8/11
remind me again about breaking the engagement.
“By the end of the next week?” He questioned me, but before I could reply, he added, “You both can know each other even after the marriage and marking ceremony. Political marriage doesn’t take this long to marry one another.”
“Okay, Dad,” I agreed, to which Raya angrily left the chair, and Brielle’s b*dy stiffened. I saw Ezekiel leaving the seat. I gave him a questioning look.
‘Need a good fuck tonight,‘
I smirked, feeling bad for the girl, whom he would hate. I looked at the woman sitting
9/11
behind me and thought of f**king her, but then she didn’t
even allow me to hold her hand in private. f**king her was a big no unless she wouldn’t be in her senses.
And just like I thought, she asked me when I would be breaking the engagement after dinner. I told her that I would end it before the wedding. To calm her down, I offered her
ice cream as a dessert after dinner. I too started eating ice cream to give her company while waiting for her to start feeling dizzy, but what happened was not something that happened.
“Tristan, are you okay?” She
10/11
asked as I held my head, feeling dizzy. “Tristan… Tristan…” That was the last
thing I heard before I fainted.
