Chapter 11
Pre–Wedding Party
Dane’s POV
ay to
After I had met Violet in the morning, my wolf was restless. He wanted to chase his mate, and he chased. Out of anger, on my her office, I ended up buying ropes and other bondage material to tie her to my bed once I got her.
When I parked the car in the basement parking area, I clenched my jaws, wondering if I should make my presence known right now or later. After the way Violet reacted upon seeing me was, I wasn’t sure if she would flee again. She might cause more chaos at the office. So I waited. To get a glimpse of her.
Emily’s modeling career was nosediving. She was blaming me for it and not because she was getting old. She put me on a guilt trip, saying that she almost gave up her career to marry me, but I didn’t marry her. So it was difficult for her to get good modeling assignments any longer. Load of crap. But anything to keep her off my back would do.
Since Emily’s career was going down, she wanted to take one last chance with a modeling firm in Miami with the help of my money. Why Miami? Because this was the only firm that had a history of taking older models, but not as old as Emily, and that’s where my money came in.
I couldn’t marry her because my wolf didn’t allow me to mate with Emily. Rejecting my mate was one of the hardest things I’d ever done. My loyalty was to my pack and I would spend my entire life to strengthen ties between two powerful packs for my people’s safety than around a rogue who showed up out of nowhere.

However, the decision I made that time slowly started killing me on the inside. My wolf was angry, in pain, and depressed. His pain was my pain, and it was like a thousand needles piercing my soul. He surfaced now and then. However, the moment he saw Violet, he had come back to life again, and he was desperate to go after her.

Over the last five years, my mother and I had had many arguments about marrying Emily, but I resisted her pressure.
She took this opportunity to contact her friends and arrange for a party, calling it our pre–wedding party. I refused the idea, but she was adamant. Anyway, she was getting out of my life soon.
While sitting in the car, I called Martha Smith, whose number Jayden had shared earlier. He had earlier profusely apologized for Violet’s behavior. I dialed her number.
“Martha here,” a polite voice answered.
“I am Dave Llyod. This is about—”
“I am so sorry about Violet, Mr. Llyod. I will be your new agent at the agency. Emily is-” she replied instantaneously, flustered and nervous,
“I want to talk to Jayden Smith.”

“I am sorry, but he isn’t here, and he is really busy in the evening. However, if you like, you can meet him at the Ginger rooftop restaurant in the evening. He will take Violet on a date!” I think she blurted it out in nervousness because she added, “Oops! I shouldn’t have said that!”
My l*ps lifted into a lopsided smile. I could use the pre–wedding party it to make Violet jealous. Then she would come back to me.
So as I waited in my Maybach for her, I forwarded the invitation that

Emily had made for the pre–wedding party to Jayden’s secretary for him to join us at Hotel Exotic.
In the evening, I found myself restless, like a caged tiger, as I watched the hotel’s lobby through the dark tinted glass walls of the banquet hall that overlooked the main entrance. Behind me, the party was ongoing with about twenty guests that Emily was entertaining. She was upset with Violet and urged me never to see her again, but she never said she would quit pursuing the agency.
Suddenly, there was a buzz of movement and everyone in the lobby started looking at a beautiful blond wearing a red dress with red heels and a matching l*pstick on her pouty l*ps. Lips that should be wrapped around my now very hard cock. To make the matters worse, Jayden placed his hand on the small of her back. I narrowed my eyes at his hand, which I was going to snap the moment he entered my party. However, I waited and waited and they didn’t come. Anger and panic warred inside me. Jealousy swirled in my chest like it had finally found its home.
What if Jayden took her to a room? My vision turned red and Jayden was bathed in crimson. I was going to kill the bastard. Shred him into pieces.
I rushed out of the party hall, much to Emily’s shock, and went downstairs. The receptionist informed me they had gone to the restaurant three floors up. I didn’t wait for the lift and sprinted up the stairs. I opened the door of the restaurant and my gaze directly fell on Jayden. Taking a deep breath in to control my wolf, I padded closer to them with an intent of snapping his n*eck.
Instead of making Violet jealous, it was me who got jealous. Well played, Violet well played.

So here I was with my offer to Jayden and her hand in mine. Goddess, her touch was electric. It sent tingles down my b*dy. My cock was rock–hard, ready to snap the top button of my pants. On an instinct, I pulled her closer to me and circled my arm around her waist, still holding her hand, only to show everyone who she belonged to. My chest was rising and falling because I was having a difficult time. suppressing my desires.
“What do you think, Jayden?” I asked, ignoring the struggle from Violet. I wanted him to sit down and not leave just so that I could stay with Violet a little longer. As for Emily, well, she was gawking. “And why didn’t you join our pre–wedding party?”
,
Violet was shell–shocked, like a soldier after a battlefield explosion. “What?” she appeared clueless. “Did you come here for their pre- wedding party? I thought it was a date!” Her face flushed red. Was that out of jealousy?
Jayden was still in the haze of a million dollars. He opened his mouth and closed it like a fish. Not getting any response from him, Violet hissed, “Jayden, reject that offer! I won’t-” My little lamb tried to pull herself away.
“Let him decide,” I growled. Jayden was entranced, seeing stars and dollars. I smirked.
“I think…” he licked his l*ps. “Violet can-
Violet freed herself from me with a jerk. She grabbed Jayden’s hand. (That hand was officially getting ripped.) “No!” she said in a raspy voice. “Jayden, you are not a spineless boss.” She tugged him away from me. “You can’t accept a million dollars because…” she struggled for words. “It’s not ethical!” She dragged him out of the restaurant.
I marveled at the bravery of my little lamb trying to escape my clutches.

I smirked. I knew by the time Jayden sat in his car, jelly would replace his spine. My next plan was formed. In an icy voice, I said to Emily, “Wrap up the party.” She deflated like a balloon left abandoned in a forgotten corner.
