Chapter 41: The Sun And The Moon Part 1
[Third Person POV]
A year has passed since they traveled and they made quite a lot of memories they could never forget their entire life. Luna brings all her friends to every dimension and meets a lot of people.
As time goes by, their friendship grows even stronger and they understand each other’s personalities and attitudes.
But everything has an end.
They need to go back to their world and resume their studies because they also have a life outside their group, and prospective duties and responsibilities.
“Damn, time flies when you’re having fun!”
“You can say that again!”
“Well, time runs like the wind.”
“Oh, cut it out, you guys! It’s not like we won’t do this again.”
“Yeah! In ten years, we’ll see each other again.”
“Ten years? That’s too long! Why not next year?”
“Dumbass! Are you that free??”
“Hahaha!”
The entire group teases each other for a while to ease the tension until it’s time to part ways with each other.
Seeing that everyone looks hesitant and sad to part ways, Leena and Luna gave each one a hologram device they had recently created together in their spare time. A special device that can connect to another world. Now, they can talk and see each other, however they like no matter where they are in the world.
When everyone saw the device, they couldn’t hide the joy on their faces and their eyes flashed with admiration toward the twins. In all honesty, the group was obsessed with the twins and if possible, they would like to be with them all the time. Sadly, they don’t belong to the same world. How do they wish that all dimensions in the magic world will merge as one vast continent or maybe an enormous planet as big as the sun so that all people with magic can live together in unity? However, it’s just wishful thinking, and the reality is harsher than they thought.
Unbeknownst to everyone, Luna can hear their thoughts at that moment and they arouse Luna’s curiosity. Luna thinks it wasn’t impossible at all. She secretly smiled in her heart and felt excited at the idea. Sooner or later, she will fulfill their wishes.
Seeing that everyone is ready to go back to their world, Luna immediately summons multiple portals going to different dimensions.
“Goodbye, everyone! See you soon!” Mirai waves her hands with tears rolling down her face and a happy smile.
“See you soon!” everybody uttered while waving their hands. They were all crying, though, especially Venice, Ereia, and Furry, who cried the loudest.
Venice, Ereia, and Furry run toward Luna and hug her tightly one last time. The three were the most attached to Luna and they are the most hesitant to part ways.
“You guys are so dramatic!” Luna teases them.
“Sister! Watch out!” Mirai suddenly yelled.
A huge figure suddenly jumped toward Luna, and everyone widened their eyes in surprise. Luna was surprised, and it was too late to avoid it. The huge figure pushed Luna to the ground and licked her face. Luna giggled and patted Regit’s head fondly.
Everyone laughed at the scene and was amused at Regit’s action.
“Mirai! Can I take Regit with me?” Leena yelled.
“No way! Regit is mine! Sister Luna gave him to me!” Mirai quickly reacted with a pout.
“Hmph! Don’t you love me?” Leena pouted her lips and looked at Mirai with puppy eyes.
“Well… I do, but still… Regit is mine!”
The two kept exchanging words and everyone around was laughing in amusement. They always like that every time Regit is involved.
“Alright! Everybody should go before the portals disappear!” Luna interrupts.
Then everyone walked toward the portals. They all smiled at each other with happiness before the portals swallowed the group.
Only the twins, Joaquin, Bryle, Isagani, Aira, Jasmine, Meera, and Ella, left standing still as they watched the portals disappear. But everyone creased their foreheads when Luna hadn’t created a portal going to Moondrous World yet.
“Are we going back to Moondrous?” Leena asked.
Luna just smiled mysteriously, and it piqued Leena's and the other’s curiosity.
“Guys, I have something to tell you...” Luna began with a serious face.
Seeing Luna’s expression, they nodded nervously and waited for Luna to say something.
“Leena and I will stay behind. We will send you back to Moondrous first.”
“What?!” they quickly reacted in shock, especially Joaquin and Bryle.
“Where are you two going?” Aira asked curiously.
“Yeah. You are so secretive, Luna.” Jasmine said and narrowed her eyes, but Luna just smiled.
“Come on, tell us!” Ella said. Her instinct told her that Luna was going somewhere they still didn’t visit.
Ella is right, though. Where Luna wants to go will definitely shock them to the core. That’s why Luna kept it a secret and just wanted her and Leena to go there because that place is special for her and her twins.
Bryle looked at Luna questioningly while frowning. Luna is so secretive that he failed to read her.
At that moment, Leena was surprised and wondered why they would stay behind. Obviously, she wasn’t aware of Luna’s other plans. Nonetheless, she just goes with the flow.
“Well… that’s a secret for now. You’ll know it when we come back. You can’t go with us this time.” Luna explained and everyone understood, so they nodded reluctantly.
Luna immediately summons a portal and before the group enters, they all give each other a quick parting hug.
However, Bryle turned back and pulled Luna into him and surprised her with a kiss on the lips.
Everyone’s eyes widened in shock at what Bryle did. They blushed and looked away with a shy smile.
Luna was caught off guard, and her eyes widened. The moment she realized what was going on, her face reddened like a tomato. She closed her eyes and savored the moment. Luna responded and leaned into the kiss. It lasted for 30 seconds.
“I don’t like you, but I love you... I’m in love with you, Luna Syesha McCleen.” Bryle said with a passionate smile. Finally, Bryle says the words he wanted to confess to Luna a long time ago. They were always with their friends all this time and had no chance to talk to Luna alone. A few times, he had found a chance, but someone would interrupt their alone time before he even said a few words.
All this time, Luna misunderstood him. The two stared at each other and Luna slowly smiled. Her eyes speak volume and Bryle immediately caught on.
“Thank you, Bryle...” Luna said with a smile, but her heart felt conflicted and complicated. She saw right through Bryle and she knew what he was thinking, but it was not the right time to correct it because this time was not the perfect timing yet. The future is infinite and everything will fall at the right time at the right place.
Even though it wasn’t what Bryle wanted to hear, he still showed a satisfied smile because he understands Luna. Even though he didn’t want to think negatively, he couldn’t help it. He knew that Luna could only appreciate his love for now and not acted upon it. Luna is a goddess, while he is just an ordinary, gifted human. Bryle knew that it was forbidden to love a goddess.
However, he was serious about his love for Luna and she’s the only woman he wants for the rest of his life.
“I will wait for you no matter how long it takes until you realize how deep my love for you is. My heart always belongs to you. Please remember that, Luna.” Bryle whispered. His words warmed Luna’s heart and pounded like crazy.
“Hm, wait for me, Bryle,” Luna whispered back with a smile. Her words and beautiful smile give assurance to Bryle and he couldn’t help but grin widely.
They hugged each other before saying goodbye.
Luna and Leena waved their hands before the portal finally swallowed their friends.
When the portal disappeared, Luna couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear while still imagining the feeling of Bryle’s lips on her, especially the confession. She was over the moon. She wanted to say back the three words but restrained herself because there was time for everything. Love can wait and happen at the right time. She knew Bryle will wait for her return and maybe then she will tell him the words unsaid.
“Ayeee, someone is over the moon!” Leena teased and laughed while poking Luna around the waist.
Luna covered her reddened face with her hands, but she couldn’t stop smiling.
After a while, she chased after Leena because she still didn’t stop poking her waist teasingly. They were chasing each other like a child while laughing. A genuine smile spread across their lips as they remembered their childhood days. They used to chase each other in the palace garden during their pastime.
“Alright, that’s enough! Let’s go!” Luna said, and they both stopped with a smile on their lips. Leena nodded with her eyes twinkling, feeling excited about where Luna was going to take her. Her twins will never disappoint her so she was looking forward to their next destination. The way Luna keeps it a secret means it’s a special place for them.
Luna’s appearance suddenly changed. She transformed into her Goddess appearance, which made Leena’s jaw drop. Leena couldn’t believe how beautiful her twin sister was in her goddess form. There’s something in the dress that reveals Luna’s inner beauty. The elegant dress accentuated Luna’s voluptuous figure.
Luna grinned at her twin’s facial expression. Her face lights up and then magic Leena’s dress and turns it almost identical to her dress. At the same time, Leena gasped in amazement seeing her transformation.
“Take my hand, Leena...” Luna flashed her twin a soft smile.
Leena’s expression softened, and her heart melted. She took Luna’s hand with a smile, and in just a blink of her eyes, their surroundings changed and she noticed they were in the galaxy, floating in gravity.
Seeing the view in front of her, Leena’s eyes widened when she saw the milky way. She almost fainted from the surprise. Her heart almost couldn’t take the overwhelming feeling, and her eyes watered.
“This is my surprise for you, Leena...”
Leena was still in awe and admiring the fantastic view. She turned to Luna and smiled sweetly.
“Thank you, Luna! I can’t believe my dream came true!” she pulled Luna into a tight hug.
“I know, since childhood, you wish to come here, so I’m fulfilling it now. At first, I didn’t know why I heard your wishes, and now it has been answered.” Luna uttered, her eyes shining.
“Is it because you are the Goddess of Creation and Universe?” Leena guesses with a thoughtful expression on her face.
Luna nodded with a smile. “Come on! I’m going to tour you around until you complain!”
“Hahaha, I would never ever complain! Let’s go check all the planets and everything in this galaxy!” Leena beamed inexplicably excited, causing a small laugh to escape Luna’s mouth.
They roamed the entire galaxy and checked every planet to their hearts’ content. They felt overwhelmed with all the excitement as they experienced different weather on every planet. It’s mind-blowing and worth their precious time. They don’t know how much time has passed since they roamed around.
At that moment, they tried closing into the Sun to feel the intense heat but they couldn’t go on further or they’ll burn into toast. When their gaze found the Moon, their eyes sparkled and shifted their gaze to the Sun and the Moon back and forth. They were both in awe at the same time feeling nostalgic as they remembered the story about the Sun and the Moon. It’s their favorite bedtime story ever and it will never get old. The story really pierced through their heart and was engraved there like a tattoo.
“Would you like to see the Sun and the Moon together side by side?” Luna said, her eyes shined brightly that mirrored the shine of the sun.
Hearing this, Leena nodded excitedly. She didn’t think it was impossible because everything was possible when Luna was around.
With a smile, Luna swiftly motioned her hands in a swirling motion. It takes several minutes to form an enormous magic circle that covers the entire solar system. Leena moved away a little when she saw Luna dancing inside the magic circle and uttering a foreign spell that she could not understand. It’s a spell exclusive only to Luna and no soul could perform it.
Seeing this scene, Leena’s eyes widened as she saw the sun and the moon gradually rotate on the horizon. Then the moon rotated so fast that it almost could not be distinguished by the naked eye until it neared the sun in the blink of an eye. However, the moon is very small compared to the sun. It’s so tiny that Leena is afraid it would burn into toast at any moment.
Leena didn’t know that Luna had put a protection spell on the moon to prevent it from turning into ashes.
Luna smiled with an amused expression seeing her twin’s reaction and swiftly motioned her hands again in every direction while casting some foreign spell and at the same time continuously moving inside the magic circle like she was dancing in the air. Luna stops the time and draws near to the moon and the sun.
From afar, Leena watched her twin land on the moon and do some magic again. This time, the moon gradually grew bigger and bigger until it became the size of the sun.
Luna went back into the center of the magic circle and finished the ritual. A few minutes later, the time resumed, and at the same time, the enormous magic circle disappeared, and now the two enormous planets in the universe rotating together in synchronization like they were glued to each other. Every movement they made sends sparkles throughout the universe like magic. And a million sparkles of dust flickered as they traveled on every planet and exploded like fireworks in the sky, sending a magnetic pull and a miracle to everyone.
It’s a miracle that the moon didn’t get burned by the extreme heat of the sun. Unbeknownst to everyone, Luna put an invisible thick barrier around the moon to protect it from the intense heat.
The entire movement that Luna made seems easy, but it’s actually the most challenging thing she ever did in her entire life, not even in a million years. It’s the most power-consuming, and she almost cost her divine soul. It will at least take three months to restore all her power. As long as there is no trouble, she will be fine for the time being.
After she did that, she became weak but she can still release some power but not as powerful as before.
‘If I know it will consume almost all my divine power, I wouldn’t do this hastily. Oh well, it’s too late for that.’ Luna thought, but she still felt happy in her heart seeing her first creation.
