Lucas and The Time-Traveling Fog

Chapter 1 The Journey Begins

Hello, my name is Lucas Robinson, and I’m a senior at Lincoln South High School in Hawkesville, Illinois.

You know how teachers would always say that, “this is your final year of high school, so make the most of it,” “this is your final year to find out who you are,” blah blah blah!

Well, I never really cared about questioning or listening to their talk, to be honest, and probably never will because I think it’s a waste of time and energy for teachers to talk to me about finding my path in life. Plus, I don’t want them to tell me how to live my life. They would always say to me that I shouldn’t have any regrets in life unless I look back and reflect on the mistakes I made, and “that’s the only way to look forward.”

Seriously, why should we talk about the past when we need to start to focus on the future? The future is the key to success in the world. If you can envision your future, you can prepare yourself to become rich. I always thought that my teachers don’t know me at all, so why should I care? I can’t possibly change my past, let alone someone else’s, because once it is done, it’s done. There’s nothing you can do to change that.

It wasn’t until my first day of senior year of high school that I changed my perspective on past events. You know the old saying, “Try walking in someone else’s shoes.” I was in someone’s shoe; not just their shoes, but their whole body. First, let’s get one thing straight about time travel. It’s not like you see in the movies. You know, with a time machine or special car or something. But to be fair, I don’t remember well how I traveled back to 1959 or even why. But it happened.

I always thought time travel would be like being in a long dream, but it wasn’t like that at all. It’s so exhausting to talk about it, but hopefully, letting you into my adventure through time will bring back some clues and answers on what I will be in life! Still to this day, I don’t understand why time chose me of all people! Me! A blonde-headed, social media crazed, immature high school kid!

So, this is how the trip through time all went down.
