Chapter 205 Unfair to You 

Chandler’s words stirred up ambivalent emotions in Erin’s heart. A voice in her head kept urging her to reveal the truth to him. She wanted to tell him that she was indeed Erin very badly! 

But as soon as she thought about her current appearance and the fact that Alana was already pregnant, her heart sank. Even if Alana wasn’t in the picture, could she still resume her relationship with Chandler? 

Every time she thought about Chandler returning to Coandria to enter into a fake marriage, it made her blood boil without fail. Not to mention there were also Tessa and Jack, who had almost succeeded in ruining her entire life. Tessa sought revenge because of 

Chandler’s rejection and the humiliation she suffered due to his merciless words. 

A butterfly effect ensued, borne of Tessa’s immense hatred, and Erin was unfortunately caught up in it, ultimately made to suffer hardships 

inconceivable to the average Joe. 

Even though she was starting anew now, she couldn’t forget those painful experiences of the past. 

This pain continued to weigh on her heart. Her son, Asa, now called another woman “Mom,” while she, his biological mother, could only 

watch from a distance. To get closer to her son, she had to start as an art teacher. All of this made Erin feel unhappy. 

She wanted to curse fate for being unfair and exceptionally cruel to her! 

But no matter how relentlessly and passionately she cursed, it wouldn’t change the past. She was forced to accept the changes in her own life, and she had no other choice but to stay positive and not give up on herself. She was afraid that if she gave up, she would truly 

lose Asa, as well as her family and friends who loved her. 

“Miss Eastwood, did my words remind you of something?” 

Chandler’s words echoed in her ears, and Erin snapped out of her daze in a panic to look up at him. Her forehead accidentally bumped into 

his lips with uncanny precision. 

The cool sensation from his lips surged through her brain like an electric shock. Erin suddenly felt her mind go blank, and her face turned red involuntarily; even her ears were burning red. 

She apologized shyly, “I’m sorry… That wasn’t intentional. You were too close to me!” 

At that moment, Chandler nursed his lips with one hand, feeling a slight ache in his front teeth. Numbness spread across his mouth. What happened to him just now? Why was he drawn to her after gelling lost in his own thoughts? 

He got too close to her. 

Chandler swiftly stood up with a cold expression. “Miss Eastwood, please come to my villa every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening at 7 pm sharp. Each session will be one hour long. Your salary will be paid monthly, and it’ll be thirty thousand a month. My secretary will transfer the payment to you. If you have any other requirements, you can let me know. If there isn’t anything else, you may leave now.” 

With that, he walked back to his desk, his entire demeanor becoming somewhat distant, emitting an air of someone unapproachable. 

Erin stood up and asked, “Mr. Frost, do we need to sign a service contract?” 

Chandler didn’t spare her a glance. He had a contract from the company in his hand as he coldly said, “I trust Roman, so we can waive the contract. But if Asa doesn’t like you, you should be prepared to leave at any time.” 

Erin understood his reasoning, so she replied, “Okay, I understand. I’ll start coming to the villa tomorrow evening. I’ll bring my own art 

tools and teaching materials.” 

‘Good, you may leave now,” Chandler said without looking at her. 

Tomorrow was Friday. Erin had a faint smile on her lips, as she was already looking forward to it. 

After Erin left, Chandler’s eyes immediately darted to the door that was just closed. This woman reminded him of Erin, and he couldn’t stop himself from thinking of her. This direct impact made him infuriated and frustrated. He couldn’t control these thoughts, and memories of Erin brought him back to scenes from the past like he was traveling through time in a time machine. 

Chandler vividly remembered everything that happened between him and Erin in this office!

His intense yearning and longing for the woman he loved the most would easily go out of control once it was unleashed; it rushed forth like a wild beast released from its cage. The surge of feelings caused Chandler to tightly close his eyes and clench his fists, desperately restraining his emotions. 

His fists trembled slightly as he pressed them against the desk. Finally, his right hand angrily swung to the side, causing a stack of company contracts to scatter all over the floor. 

At that moment, the office door opened. Alana and Kyle walked in together, exchanging a glance. 

Alana said, “Kyle, you can leave. I’ll handle things here.” 

“Yes, Mrs. Frost.” Kyle gently closed the door and left. 

Alana looked at the contracts on the floor. She was about to bend down to pick them up, but Chandler frowned and said. “Don’t bother picking them up. I’ll ask Kyle to clean them up later.” 

She nodded and walked over to the sofa, taking a seat. Alana looked at Chandler and said, “I saw Miss Eastwood just now. How did the 

interview go?” 

Chandler replied expressionlessly, “I’ve agreed to have her come and teach Asa.” 

“Well I like her. I have a feeling that Asa will like her too.” 

Her words plunged Chandler deep into his own thoughts. After a while, he asked, “Why have you come? Your leg isn’t fully healed yet. You 

should rest well in the villa.” 

Alana chuckled. “I came to avoid my parents. When they heard about my pregnancy, they said they wanted to come and see me. I don’t want to be bombarded with questions by them.” 

Chandler stood up and walked toward her. He sat beside her, took her delicate hand in his palm, and said earnestly. “Didn’t I tell you? If your parents ask, just tell them what I told you.” 

“Chandler, I still feel uneasy about this. You’re not the child’s father, but if I insist on saying that you are, it’s unfair to you-” Alana had a conflicted look in her eyes as she felt reluctant to do that. 

Chandler sighed. “If it weren’t for your foresight and backup plan with Saber back then, you wouldn’t have been lucky enough to conceive his child. If your parents knew that the child you’re carrying is Saber’s, they would definitely try to stop you from giving birth. Haven’t you already made up your mind to have Saber’s child?” 

An expression of worry instantly shrouded Alana’s features. “That’s right. If my parents knew the truth, I’m certain they would find a way to stop me. I’ve already lost Saber; I can’t lose his child as well! The child in my womb is my only reason to keep going.” 

“In that case, let’s stick to our original plan. Until the child is born, I’ll be the father of the child.” Chandler could only think of this way to protect Alana. After all, they’d publicly announced their marriage. Even though they didn’t have a legal marriage certificate, everyone had already accepted their union–especially Alana’s parents. 

“Chandler, I can’t help but feel guilty toward you. What if Erin comes back and sees us like this? She will definitely misunderstand.” This 

was the biggest concern Alana had. 

Chandler raised his gaze and looked out the windows. His eyes were calm like a stagnant pool of water. He asked in a despaired and sorrowful tone, “Alana, do you think Erin is still alive? It has been seven years. If it weren’t for Asa, I don’t even know how I would have survived these seven years.”
