Love or Die CEO’s Daily Dose of Swoon Chapter 192

Chapter 192

Actually, hisque of lobster wasn’t too bad, but ever since Lorna took charge of the household, she’d gotten into the habit of cooking bisque of lobster

Since that’s the case, the didn’t want to have extra when she’s eating out

“No, thanks,” she replied with a dismissive wave and dove back into her pork ribs

Sweetheart let out a derisive short and drawled, “Don’t tell me you don’t know what bisque of lobster is? It tastes so good”

Cordelia ignored her, but Everard languidly said to Sweetheart, “You might want to have an extra serving”

Sweetheart was taken aback, then, catching the implication, bristled, “You”

Everard paid her no mind and continued serving Cordelia, who ate with gusto. She’d been studying all afternoon and was famished!

From the moment Cordelia walked in, Logan’s gaze had been fixed on her. He was still trying to regain his composure

Cordelia was just so pretty. And her aura, her skin- unlike normal teenage girls who looked naïve and childlike, she seemed well–groomed, as if raised with the utmost care.

Logan cleared his throat, subtly adjusting the sleeve of his shirt to flash the watch on his wrist, seeking to command some presence in front of Cordelia.

An onlooker caught his display and couldn’t help but comment, “Is that an Omega watch on your wrist?”

Logan cracked a smile..

“That watch must’ve cost you a pretty penny. Jungler. You really splurge, don’t you?”

The conversation then shifted to Sweetheart, who was flaunting a clover charm necklace. “Is that a Van Cleef?”

She nodded, showing off a matching bracelet. “A set.”

The onlooker whistled appreciatively. “That set’s gotta be in the tens of thousands, easy!”

Sweetheart looped her arm through Jungler’s, purring. “A gift from my boyfriend

“Jungler’s so generous!”

“Dropping tens of thousands like it’s nothing!”

“Jungler, you’re pulling in millions a month now, right? That’s tens of millions a year. Bought yourself a house yet?”

Basking in the compliments, Logan simply smiled, “Sure did.”

Then, he turned to Everard, “Learner’s boyfriend, you look like you’ve graduated, right?”

Everard had sensed where this was going. As the group gossiped about Jungler’s affluence, he slowed down his serving to Cordelia and drawled, “Yeah, I own a little shop.”

“A shop? What kind? A convenience store, or what?” Logan pressed.

Everard was about to respond when Cordelia sharply interjected, “What’s it to you?”

Logan was taken aback, and even Everard looked surprised before Cordelia shot him an encouraging glance. She then calmly passed him a piece of steak, “Eat up.”

Everard was momentarily confused but decided to focus on his meal.

Sweetheart chimed in with a snide tone, “Learner, we’re just curious about your boyfriend’s business. If we know, we can help advertising it, since we’re all from Greenmeadow.”

Cordelia frowned at the insinuation.

The crowd egged on, “Yeah, what’s he selling? We can help boost his business!”

“If you won’t say, is there something shady?”

“No shame in it, even if it’s just a street stall or veggie stand. Just tell us, we won’t laugh!”

“Why so secretive? What can’t you share?”

Cordelia’s frown deepened. And as Logan saw her discomfort, he hastily intervened. “Alright, let’s drop it. My bad”

He shifted topic, “How about a drink?”

“Sure, but can you handle it, Jungler? You drove your Benz here, right? I saw it outside.

Logan just smiled, “No worries, I’ll call for a driver. Waiter!

When the waiter came in response, Logan ordered, “Bring the wine list.”

Once the wine list was handed to Logan, he scanned the prices, not surprised by the steep figures at the Sapphire Sojourn Hotel. A bottle of decent wine cost thousands, and the premium ones, tens of thousands

Though Logan was making good money streaming these days, the price tags still stung. He pointed to a five–figure bottle. This

one.”

“Right away, sir.”

After the waiter left, one of the streamers beside Logan exclaimed, “Jungler, a bottle worth ten thousand! Impressive!

When the wine was served, a young streamer stood to pour for everyone. As he reached Everard, he quipped, “A sip of this is like a hundred bucks. We’re not drinking wine; we’re drinking money!”

After finishing his tease, he sidestepped Everard with a wink, “Buddy, I figure this kind of booze might not be your cup of tea, so I won’t pour you one!”

Laughter erupted from the crowd.

Jungler, however, couldn’t actually let it slide since he was still live streaming.

“Cut it out,” he said with a grin, playing along.

The young streamer was just about to pour a drink for Everard when the door to the private room suddenly swung open.

Everyone paused, turning their heads, only to see a tall, red–haired youth standing at the entrance. He was holding a bottle of liquor, and his piercing, upturned eyes gave him an air of defiance.

“Looking for someone? Or did you wander into the wrong party?” Jungler called out.

Yates sauntered in, making his way to Cordelia and Everard, “Lia, bro, brought you guys some real wine.”

After casting a dismissive glance at the bottle in the streamer’s hand, he said with an impudent smirk, “Well, you weren’t wrong, this isn’t really my bro’s style.”

With that, he set his own bottle on the table.
