Love Is Colder than Death

Chapter 9 After That Day

After that day, Jun Mohan came to see Snow directly after having his meetings as usual, as if Phoenix never existed.

Snow also recovered much from the wound. She became as energetic as before. But when looking at her pretty face, Jun Mohan couldn't stop wondering what was wrong for she was somewhat different from before. What Phoenix had said to him and her desperate eyes were played rewind and rewind in his head...

Snow knew every slight change that Jun Mohan had so she started to panic from the bottom of her heart.

"Mohan, do you remember that you promised to 'remedy' me a fancier wedding when I get well? You see I have got much better now..." Snow bit her lip and hesitated to finish the request.

She's only one step away from becoming Mohan's queen. Damn Phoenix! Ruined her dream wedding! That was her dream wedding!

Actually she wasn't that badly injured. This was just her trick, hoping Mohan could punish Phoenix, but... the result turned to be that he turned a deaf ear to her crimes!

Thanks to Phoenix's blood, she had gained much progress in her immortal practice. But she found out that Mohan's attitude toward Phoenix appeared to be more positive, so she had to stop taking risks.

Jun Mohan had never made love with Snow. There had been several times when they just started to make out, Mohan would stop and said that he had to wait after they held the wedding ceremony. She thought this was because he loved her so much.

But for now...

She couldn't wait anymore!

"Mohan, what are you thinking? I don't care how fancy this wedding is, I just... wanna be with you. I can feel secure in this way..."

Jun Mohan's mind was pulled back by her. He frowned, looked at her, and said, "As for the wedding, you have suffered a lot... But recently we are having a war against Asmodians, so maybe later? Seven, can you understand me?" "Yeah." Snow nodded, "Mohan, I'm too impatient, I believe you. I'm waiting for you."

Then Jun Mohan suddenly asked, "Seven, I want to hear you play that Purple Rain, do you still remember it? It is our song."

Snow beamed and looked into his eyes lovingly, "Alright! But... I feel like playing Purple Rain by the white jade flute you gave me. After I go to the Dragon Palace, fetch it back and then I'll play it for you. It's that ok?" This was a perfect answer. Her smile was also lovely.

Jun Mohan smiled back and nodded, "Okay".

But he faked this smile. He was soon suspicious about Snow and her everything even though her reply was appropriate and reasonable.

Purple Rain, well, it was made up by him just now. The song never had a name.

"I'm leaving for the Celestial Land. Take good care of yourself, will you?"

"Why are you going to the Celestial Land?"

"Don't worry." Jun Mohan cuddled her into his arms, tapped her head gently, and reassured her, "I'm just going to have a meeting with them about the alliance against the Asmodians." "Then you must come back early. I'm not familiar with here, I'm afraid when you are not around..."
