Love Is Colder than Death

Chapter 2 She Was Too Eager

Phoenix was from the Celestial Land. But she had insisted living in the Fairy Land for about three hundred years. Jun Mohan rarely came to the Phoenix Hall to see her, unless... take her blood for that woman. The snow was seriously injured, he was worried than anyone.

...

"Your blood!"

The seventh day, he came to the Phoenix Hall again. What he first said was asking for her blood.

With a silk gauze in between, a tender giggling sound came from the other side, "Alright, come here and just have it".

Jun Mohan smelt a rat, but he was not sure what this girl was up to.

"I'm not feeling well. Ugh, ugh... I can't get up. You have to come here to take my blood, ugh, ugh..."

Her feeble voice came from the other side of the gauze. How could she be this weak? Jun Mohan was a little bit keyed up but he just pulled the gauze up without hesitation. But he was stuck the next moment.

He looked down at the maiden on the bed--she was all naked in the looming candlelight--his eyes fixed on that well-shaped fair white body.

It never occurred to him that she was like this under the gauze!

His breath was rasping in his heaving chest, his bead was all mixed up as if it was about to explode the next second, his eyes turned red for he was pissed off or was fretted by her. Unexpectedly, his neck was surrounded by her jade fair arms. Her chest was tightly close to his, and her sweet seducing scent was lingering around his nose.

"Mohan... Can you love me? Look at me, tell me I'm better than her!" Her soft, arousing talk was echoing in his ears.

Jun Mohan was stunned, he pushed her away, scolding, "Look what you have become!"

"Emmm..." Phoenix's face was pale, sweat was falling down along her cheek. She failed to lift herself up after being pushed heavily by him.

"Phoenix! You're the phoenix girl of Celestial People! How could you be like a bitch!"

The man roared furiously at her.

"Ha, ha, ha... ha, ha..." She chuckled to tears, "I know... Of course, I know I'm the phoenix girl, but I can't go back..."

She just couldn't, she's homeless.

"It takes me three hundred years on you! I think even stone could be warmed in such a long period of time. But why you just don't love me?"

As a matter of fact, before that woman showed up, although Jun Mohan never gave her a good expression, he hadn't chased her away for once.

Phoenix thought he was born to be indifferent that she could take the time and make efforts to warm his heart.

She could have achieved that...

But everything changed after Snow came to his side!

The truth was, he... had the ability to love someone.

He just gave all his attention and patience to another woman.

What a love game!

"Why... Why... Jun Mohan, tell me... Why I couldn't have your heart even after these efforts for three hundred years. But that woman, why you immediately fell in love with her the moment she came to your life??? Why? Why?" Although being a little bit more patient to her, his words still stung her deeply, "I had a relationship with her long time ago. No one could replace her in my heart."

Phoenix was stuck. They had... known each other...

No one could replace her?

No one could replace her...

So that woman was such important in his eyes.

"Ha, ha..." She laughed faintly, "Then why you didn't marry her?'

What a good question! He frowned, and said, "I did go to the West Sea to propose this marriage. But the lord of West Sea didn't feel like permitting this marriage for I was not the emperor of land back then." He clutched his fists tightly. This past was his shame!

What couldn't have is always the best.

But her, Phoenix, was too eager to have him.

She just got it.

However...
